Chapter Ninety-Nine: The Black-Faced Archer

In the middle of the forest, Kress wields a short sword and is confronted by four malevolent Brotherhood bandits. On the ground not far away, several corpses were messily arranged. One of them belonged to the Peony mercenaries, and the rest were bandits of the Brotherhood.

"Be careful, this chick is very good at fighting."

A bandit squad leader armed with a bow and arrow shouted at the other bandits next to him, and the four of them slowly approached Kress.

One robber had a sword in his hand, a short spear, and another a hammer. Their faces were hideous, as if they wanted to eat alive the woman opposite, the woman they had been chasing for a long time.

Cress frowned, her eyes scanning back and forth between the four robbers, and she led the other three to the forest to reconnoitre, only to be ambushed. As she fled with the men, he saw a large number of robbers heading in Byron's direction.

Believing that Byron was capable of defeating these opponents, he hid after killing a few of his pursuers. But when she cautiously walked out of the forest with another caravan escort, they found the carriage abandoned, and the robbers cheering and chasing the deserters in the distance. Kress was sure that even the robbers who survived numbered about 300, and Kress immediately understood that Byron had failed.

After that, the robber found them and sent a failed chase. Kress ran around the forest for a long time, killing three people with throwing knives, but was eventually blocked. After a battle, the caravan guard was also dead, leaving her to face the four Brotherhood bandits.

"The woman didn't have a knife and kept throwing it."

They surrounded Kress, and a smile flashed across the squad leader's face. She knew that Kress didn't have any knives left, so she suppressed it further, grabbed her bow and shot an arrow.

Kress turned sideways and flashed over.

One of the robbers behind Kress also took advantage of this to stab a short spear and try to pierce her calf and capture Kress alive.

However, Kress moved very quickly, she raised the leg that was about to be hit, dodged the short spear, and then rushed back and directly crossed the short sword on the opponent's neck, and then pressed hard, cutting off the opponent's trachea, watching the opponent cover his neck, and fell down with wide eyes.

The sword-wielding robber also rushed in front of Kress, slashed down with a sword, and then slashed in the direction of Kress as she dodged, and the blade cut through Kress's dark green coat and soft armor inside, leaving a small wound on the little girl's arm.

If Kress had been a little slower, the arm might have been lost.

Kress's hand habitually touched the place where the knife had been placed at his waist, but it was now empty. In desperation, she could only retreat again, and was forced by the three robbers to the side of a tree, and there was no room to escape.

The sword-wielding robber and the hammer-wielding robber attacked together, and Kress parried with his short sword, even though the sword was made of Kulau's steel, and it broke a hole in the constant defense.

In the back and forth of several attacks and defenses, Kress made several openings in his coat, revealing the soft armor inside and the white skin on the inside.

One of the robbers whistled insultingly, and Kress seized the opportunity to swing his sword upward, sending three fingers flying into the air with a scream.

The robber with the hammer could no longer hold the hammer, and his eyes were full of anger.

He hurled insults at Kress and said the most insulting language to women. But before he could turn his words into reality, an iron-headed arrow pierced his skull. In a look of consternation, the guy fell.

The other two robbers turned their heads slightly and saw a dark-faced, loose-haired woman standing not far behind them, the second arrow already on the bowstring.

The robber captain immediately bowed his head to dodge the arrow, but when the woman let go of the bow, she lowered the bow slightly, and the arrow shot into his heart accurately. The robber captain fell to his knees, shook a few times, and then collapsed.

The third robber didn't know what to do for a moment, and finally took the risk of being attacked by Kress in the back and rushed at the archer with his sword.

However, when she rushed in front of him and was about to stab him with a sword, the black woman smashed him directly in the face with her bow, and then kicked him in the stomach, knocking him to the ground.

Then she pulled out an arrow and put her hand over the hilt and plunged it into his eye. The robber screamed, but before he could raise his hand, the woman took two steps back, drew her bow and wound it, and then aimed it at the other's head.

After a "whoosh", the robber, who had just risen from the ground, lost his second eye, and his life.

Even Kress stood still staring at the woman at this time, her heart beating rapidly, and the hand holding the dagger trembled slightly. She's brave and smart, but she's still too young.

"Who are you?"

The archer pointed his bow at her, and a few men dressed like the bandits and robbers came out of the nearby woods. Although they were holding weapons, their expressions were relaxed, and it seemed that they were there when the archer was fighting before, and they had no doubt that this archer would lose.

And to Kress's surprise, there were two other women among them, both with bows and fur coats, and their eyes were fixed on her.

"Who are you little girl? What does it have to do with the Brotherhood and those mercenaries? ”

The female archer took two steps closer and asked solemnly.

"At least, I'm not your enemy."

Cress breathed a sigh of relief, threw away the dagger in his hand, and stretched his hands out.

The archer stared at the pattern on Creskrit's chest for a moment, the peony mark had been hidden by his coat until the coat was cut.

"Maybe you're not our enemy, but you're not our friend either."

The archer lowered his bow, his tone relaxed a little, and the others put away their weapons.

"Hand over your weapons and come with us."

Still, the archer confiscated Kress's weapon and tied her wrists around her, but it wasn't tight.

"Cress, currently employed by the Peony Mercenaries."

As the female archer tied her hands, Kress whispered to her.

The other party ignored her when he didn't start, turned around and took two steps, stopped again, and thought for a few seconds.

"Desay Vie..."

After she finished saying her name, she paused, and finally revealed her identity.

"Bandits."
