Chapter 4: The Troubles of the Detective
Early in the morning, James opened the curtains. The rain continued, and the rapid noise did not upset people, but made people's drowsy heads quickly sober. Last night's beer didn't give James a hangover, but he was thinking very clearly.
First, James pushed open the door to the guest room, and Zach was gone, leaving a note at the table.
"The bed was very comfortable and borrowed your car. ”
The note was crumpled in his palm, and James took a deep breath. Yesterday, after finding out that Zach didn't come in a car, James didn't know why, and he said "You can spend the night here" in a moment of brain fever. So under the meaningful eyes of the vampire, Zach occupies the guest room.
The beds in the guest rooms were made as if no one had slept with them, which was the only consolation. James calmed down and looked into the living room on the first floor. The garbage that was messed up by Fizz's otaku who played with it last night has all been cleaned up. James frowned, could it be that Zach did it?
The impression of a vampire is indeed a very neat guy, and James shook his head, deciding that he didn't want to do that.
"Curson. It's me, Lance. James took the phone, "Can you pick me up, I lent my car to someone else...... Friends. James was a little soft-mouthed.
"Hahaha! Sure, wait a minute. ”
James's face was a little crooked, and he knew what his partner was laughing at. At gatherings with his colleagues, Corson often jokes about James not as gluttony, but as 'Lance's fantasy friends'.
Detective Corson would say to his colleagues in a mocking tone, "This guy often disappears mysteriously, I don't know where he has gone, and then ask him, and he will say, "I'm going to see a friend!"
At this point, only one person will speak for James. A policewoman, Emma Farrell (Volume 4, Chapter 23), "Detective Lance has a friend! Benjamin, right?" The policewoman would pretend to be casual and ask with a wandering look in her eyes, "By the way, how is he doing?"
So, our James Lance. I can only admit it.
After tidying up, Corson's whistle was already sounding downstairs. When James got into the car, he said hello to the girl in the passenger seat, who was Cowson's daughter. For some out-of-the-box family reasons, only one of Detective Cowson's two children is around, in order not to repeat something bad. Cousson kept the habit of sending his daughter to school every day.
But when the car stopped at the elementary school, Colson did not drive to the police station, but turned southeast.
"Where are we going?" asked James suspiciously, looking out the window at the refracted buildings that were crookedly retreating under the refraction of the droplets.
"'General' there. Detective Cousson's tone was not very good.
James after Curson's daughter gets out of the car. He was already sitting in the passenger seat, so at this time he noticed that his partner's face was very tired, and the dark bags under his eyes hung on his eyelids, as if he hadn't slept at all last night.
"What's going on?" James frowned, his original impression of the 'General' was just a gang member with a gray relationship with the police department. But since the last visit of Zack, he has a new understanding of this guy, and he has not yet known the boss of the demon witcher.
Either way. It all made James Lance uncomfortable.
Corson's love was obviously bad, and he slapped his hand on the steering wheel angrily. "He's gone too far! I warned him not to do anything noticeable lately!"
"What did he do?" said James, who had a bad premonition.
Corson waved his hand, "Don't worry, no one is dead." Coulson also had a good idea of his partner's character, although he personally didn't think James's black-and-white personality was good for his work. But having such a guy by his side is sometimes a comfort, "Last night, some of his men injured one of them. Now people are in the hospital, some strict. ”
Breathed a sigh of relief again. With an uncomfortable feeling, this state of mind is too difficult to speak. James frowned, "Did those guys catch it?" Although he didn't want to admit it, James knew that for those guys in the southeast, if he caught it, he would only be locked up for a few days, and he shouldn't upset his partner.
"That's what makes people irritated!" Detective Cousson had a hint of disgust on his face, "That guy at the hospital wants to make it big! Those thugs usually admit directly after being caught, and we will not continue to pursue all the blame on themselves! But herein lies the problem! They all confessed! As soon as the guys in the hospital make a fuss, then they all need to be compensated!"
James pressed his hand to his forehead, and to his disappointment, he realized that he was like a corrupt cop, and immediately understood what was wrong.
It's simple. Usually the person who is beaten thinks they are unlucky, because no one will beat them for no reason. Everyone's own problem, and it is not the person who is committing violence that needs to be solved, but the problem itself that leads someone to be violent to you.
So guys like 'generals' who give people the means will always be there, and sometimes they will get stuck between the two sides of the problem and become the provider of information to the police.
The problem now is that the guy who was beaten pointed the finger at the 'general', and the 'mercenary' who was supposed to provide the means in the middle was pulled to the front of the stage. Do you think that the 'General' will let the hospital guys make a fuss and be unlucky to be responsible? If so, then his nickname can be thrown out of the trash.
"Who's in the hospital?" James was disappointed to ask the question, but there was no way, the police department needed a gray professional like 'General' who was willing to provide clues from time to time. So James was now thinking about whether he could find a way to shut up that unreasonable guy at the hospital. Otherwise, it really gets out of control, and the detectives of these two murder teams will really come in handy.
"It's nothing!" Corson waved his hand irritably, his tone even more angry, "No job, no home, nothing!
James shook his head, it is indeed the worst-case scenario, this kind of person has no worries at all, he relies on one life, and does whatever he wants," Name. ”
"Wells. ”
"Will......" James' face darkened, "Wells, you say." ”
"yes. Detective Cousson sensed the change in his partner's feelings, and turned his head in confusion, "You know the name?"
James leaned back in his chair and tilted his head sideways, looking at the city of Barton in the rain, "No, I've never heard of it. (To be continued......)
