Chapter Ninety-Nine: Wei Shu Wu

Although Cao Cao was in the Tongque Platform in Xu Capital, through the powerful power of blood witchcraft, Lu Bu's every move was under his control. In essence, Lu Bu was just a puppet of his mind incarnate.

When the first wave of the Wei army's fierce offensive successfully broke through Wu Shu's first defensive front, Wu Shu trembled all over the country. Lu Bu led the remaining 60,000 main forces, either sailing in the air or down the river, and approached the city of Wushu in a mighty way. The Wu Shu soldiers who were defending the city saw from a distance that the sailing ships in the sky were densely packed, covering half of the sky. Although the enemy was menacing, recalling the Battle of Chibi, the Wushu Alliance defeated the 300,000 troops of the Wei State, and everyone's hearts were more or less optimistic and confident.

An hour later, the ships of the Wei army approached the city of Wushu, and the distance between the two sides was less than a mile. The so-called Wu Shu city is not that Wu and Shu share a defensive city along the river, but that Wu is in the east of the river, holding a defensive front, and Shu is in the west of the river, holding a defensive front. The defensive front was dominated by a sky-high fortress, and at intervals there was an impregnable fortress. On top of each fortress, there is an altar of the east wind. The two forts are connected to the same height as the fort and are several meters thick. The two deep defensive fronts, above the river, are connected by extremely strong defensive bridges, and the bridges are densely covered with Dongfeng altars.

Lü Bu knew that this was the most difficult part of the battle, so he ordered the whole army to launch a general offensive without reservation.

The army of dragons, dense as locusts, jumped down and flew into the wind. Numerous Blood Witch Warriors jumped from the ships along the river and cruised to the shore. One up and one down, one empty and one land, complementing each other to attack, is actually the simplest and most effective offensive strategy, otherwise the first line of defense line that Wu Shu has been running through for a long time will not collapse violently. Although Wu and Shu knew in advance the overall offensive strategy of Wei, the traditional defensive strategies of the two countries obviously did not play the due situational effect as in the Battle of Chibi.

At the moment when the dragon army had just jumped down the ship, clusters of arrows as dense as a drizzle, mixed with huge and solid boulders, burst out from the ship, like a storm, towards the defensive fortresses and city walls of Wu and Shu, and struck violently. This extremely fast firing system for the rain of arrows and boulders was designed and supervised by Sima Yi himself. Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang, although they are both students of Jixia Academy, have different aspirations, and after graduation, they chose different monarchs to realize their lifelong learning and ambitions.

In the First Battle of Chibi, Zhuge Liang sent Pang Tong to instigate Cao Cao to implement a series of ships, which led to a great defeat. Although Sima Yi had already seen through it, he was soft-spoken at the time, and Cao Cao did not accept his suggestion, but instead adopted what Pang Tong called a strange scheme. At a certain level, Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang lost a game because of Cao Cao's defeat in Chibi.

Later, Cao Cao learned the lesson of the defeat of Chibi and completely gave up the idea of connecting ships. Sima Yi also took the opportunity to express his idea of setting up an automatic attack system on each ship, each system does not need to be controlled by humans, and includes different killing weapons such as a rain of arrows covering the sky, huge boulders, fireballs gushing from fire, and pervasive poisonous mist.

Wu Shu's defensive fortresses, although they are all made of boulders, are impregnable. However, the shipboard boulder flying down in the air carried a huge destructive power, and smashed it out of huge holes one after another. As the walls and huge holes in the fortress increased, the defensive fortress gradually began to crumble. Many of the soldiers on the fortress, as well as the Dongfeng Altar, had not yet developed the initiative to attack, and the fortress collapsed and fell.

The surviving Dongfeng Altar is also colored to the ships and dragons in the sky. Purple beams of light in the sky, intertwined with the rain of arrows and boulders. The boulder that was hit shattered into countless pieces in an instant, and the fragments shot out in all directions, and many dragon armies were wounded and fell. Surprisingly, however, only a handful of ships were shot down. It turned out that Cao Cao had firmly engraved the Dongfeng Altar, the farthest range it could attack, in his heart, whether in the air or on the water, the place where the sailing ship was anchored happened to be not within the farthest range of the Dongfeng Altar. This is also the traditional defense strategy of Wu and Shu, following the old dead hole. The most critical point is that Cao Cao seized it at the right time, and the paralysis after the victory of Wu and Shu was careless.

Cao Cao used Lu Bu's eyes to see the Wei army's overwhelming offensive in front of him, and a sly smile spread across the corners of his mouth.

After another half an hour, the main structure of Wu Shu's second defensive front was almost destroyed. The dragon army flew to the ground, and the Blood Witch Army jumped through the stones, killing the Wu Shu soldiers who were lucky to survive in the dilapidated defensive fortress.

The army of the dragon and the soldiers of Wu Shu fought close to each other, or flew around, or jumped over the wall. The weapons of Wu Shu's soldiers will always be a beat slower than the figure of the dragon army. The Dragon Army relied on its own flexibility, and one person could fight against three or five Wu Shu soldiers at the same time. In the same way, the ignorant and bloodthirsty and brutal Blood Witch Army is even more terrifying and cruel. When the Wu Shu soldiers pierced the sharp halberds deep into the chests of the Blood Witch Army soldiers. The Blood Witch Army can not only bite the throats of Wu Shu soldiers without pain and drink blood, but after the halberd is removed, the wound can quickly heal itself. When the Wu Shu soldiers saw that the Wei soldiers were so weird, the courage and determination to fight had already turned into a faint chill in their hearts.

Many of the surviving Wu Shu warriors had already fled to the main city of their country before they could give the order. The Wei army was frantically chasing and killing behind, as if this was not a war, but a feast for the Wei army.

Some Wu Shu soldiers fled to the city and found that the city gate was still firmly locked. They don't have to think about it, but they can also know the reasons, one of which is that they retreat without receiving military orders, which is a desertion. Second: The people in the city were afraid that the Wei army would take the opportunity to enter the city. Even so, in the face of such a strange enemy army, the deserters had no choice but to escape. However, there is a door of death in front and a chasing soldier in the back, and their fate can be imagined.

Not long after, the main force of the Wei army approached the main city of Wushu, above the main city, mainly for human defense, due to the huge volume of the Dongfeng altar, so there are few on the city wall. The ships of the Wei army then approached the main city of Wushu intermittently.

When the Wei army arrived at the city of Wushu, Cao Cao controlled Lü Bu to issue an order for the Dragon Army and the Blood Witch Army to temporarily stand by. After pouring the remaining flaming fireballs and rolling logs covered with spikes on the aviation ship onto the main city of Wushu, they launched a fierce attack.

The Dongfeng altars on the main city of Wushu were scarce, and before they could shoot down a few Wei aviation ships, the main city of Wushu had been flooded by a sea of fire.
