Chapter 943: Contact of the Third Kind

Less than a mile after following the trail, Sarah spotted the others.

"I'm a goddess!"

Sarah noticed that they were all the same as the previous man, all with the same wound in their left eye, all of them crumbling into the same mental state. They looked very peaceful, and because of that, they looked even more terrifying.

To make matters worse, their legs have been broken and they are missing below the knees. They lay in unison next to a fused crack in the ground, as if some kind of high-energy ray had cut through the ground and severed their legs at the same time.

"These people are followers of the Prophet." Looking at the nomadic costumes on them, Sarah finally realized a problem.

"Jeno's energy pulse energy can indeed leave such marks on the ground, and it is not impossible for him to kill these cultists. But he would never do anything more to deliberately turn these people into a state of immortality......"

Racking her brains, Sarah finally came to the conclusion that "if it wasn't the Prophet who had pitted them, it was caused by some kind of void creature." ”

"Let's tell Jeno the news. No, go back to the ship first, I don't want to stay on this ground for a moment. The sudden shiver made Sarah shudder.

The wind howled, and Sarah sensed that things were going more than she could handle. She didn't stop for a moment, and ran towards the Abyss.

Returning to the ship, Sarah's heart finally rose with a sense of security.

She entered the captain's room to pick up the communicator and immediately dialed Jeno's number.

"Hey, hey, Jeno! A major discovery! A major discovery! She deliberately emphasized it twice to make Jeno realize the seriousness of the matter.

"What's wrong?" Jeno on the other end of the communication was still in a state of confusion.

"I found several followers of the Prophet on earth, all of them in a strange state of mind, half-dead, with a broken body and a serene expression, leaving only a black hole in their left eye......"

After a brief silence for "......," Jeno said in a very bad tone over the communicator: "You're in trouble. Well, big trouble......"

As if to confirm Jeno's words, Sarah subconsciously looked out of the window and suddenly found a huge black shadow in sight!

It had a large one-eyed man, twitching its limbs, and was drifting toward the Abyss.

Even Sarah, who is not very familiar with the Void, can tell at a glance that it is some kind of Void creature, and it is the kind that is strong in several handfuls. Because the terrifying coercion she felt from it was at least dozens of times better than that of Baron Nash, and it was definitely not a terrifying existence that she could resist.

The creature's eyes shone brightly, revealing its movements.

The spot of light moved back and forth on the deck, carefully examining every corner of the Abyss, and an electric signal suddenly flashed in his head, and then the spot of light instantly moved to the captain's quarters!

Just before they could make eye contact, Sarah slammed her ass on the floor, as if she had been frightened and sat down.

Her chest heaved violently, and she curled up and crept under the only table in the captain's room.

"Jeno, you're right, I'm in trouble......" Sarah said in a low voice with a crying voice, "It's you who said that the void creatures can't fly and are safe to stay on the ship, and then I met a big-eyed man who can fly." Come and save me, I don't want to die. ”

"I was saying that the vast majority of Void creatures can't fly, and you're the only one you come across...... Hold on, I've come to your rescue! ”

Sarah secretly scolded herself for being unlucky, not because she didn't want to control the astrolabe to drive the Abyss to get away, but because she was likely to be seen by the other party as soon as she showed up.

Moreover, when she found the monster, the two were already very close. Monsters use some kind of high-energy rays, and the ship can't be faster than the speed of light.

Once the spaceship crashes, not only will they definitely die, but they will also lose their foothold to fight the Void.

To sum up, hiding from that monster on the boat is the best way to deal with it.

The other party does not necessarily know that there are people on the ship, where they are hiding, etc...... As long as you hide well enough, you can drag on long enough.

Sarah tried to urge Jeno, but the sudden terrifying coercion that befell her forcibly dispelled her thoughts. Instinctive fear pressed down, making it as hard to break open her mouth as if it had been taped away.

She could feel that the other party was on deck, just a wall away from the captain's quarters she was in, still the kind of balsa wood that wasn't too strong.

Voices were still coming from the communicator, presumably Jeno telling her to hold on, asking how she was doing, why she didn't speak, and so on.

Sarah squeezed off the communicator and squeezed it tightly in her palm. In times of crisis, these cares are fatal.

Now she couldn't make a sound, and she curled up harder, hugging her knees tightly, even though her chest was squeezed to the point of complete deformation, and a dull twisting sound sounded deep in her ribs. She felt out of breath, but that was what she wanted, and even the sound of her breathing had to be suppressed as much as possible.

The horrific gaze seemed to sweep over her through the walls, and just when Sarah thought she was being discovered, her gaze turned away, but the sense of crisis still hung over her.

She felt an unthinkable hunger, a cold that washed back and forth over her bones, leaving her soul teetering at the edge of the abyss, and her sanity almost gone.

She tightened her grip on the handle of the gun, and now even the pair of holy guns could not give her a sense of security.

A terrible purple light shone through the window, and the table where Sarah was hiding was directly below the window.

Specks of light flickered on the walls of the captain's quarters, and she could imagine the bulging one-eye against the transparent windowpane, sneakily looking at the loot she had framed on the wall. The fear of giant beasts is in the genes, and if you imagine this fear deeply, you will feel a suffocating pain in your chest.

Remembering the strange wounds on those people before, Sarah gritted her teeth and closed her eyes vigorously, begging the monster to leave after finding nothing in the captain's room, or move somewhere else, and let her drag it to Jeno to fight the monster away.

The monster was about the size of a hot air balloon and couldn't get into the captain's quarters, but its tentacles could easily reach in.

It sensed the outside world with its eyes, and although its tentacles writhed restlessly, it did not reach into the captain's quarters, but went out into the corridor beside it. Apparently it is more interested in guest rooms where there is no way to see the interior.

Just when Sarah thought she was about to escape, a "click" came clearly into her ears.

She opened her eyes instantly, and something cracked.

It wasn't that she had broken her ribs too hard, or that the monster's tentacles had broken the wood, but the dragon egg—

- It was ...... at such a time. Hatched!!
