Chapter 20: A First Exploration of the Castle
With that, William walked up the stairs and soon found his dormitory.
It is worth mentioning that it is not for nothing that Ravenclaw is called yin and yang.
There were about 100 new students at Hogwarts this year, and among the more than 20 people assigned to Ravenclaw, there were only four boys, which happened to fill a dormitory.
William came back just in time for the little wizards to introduce themselves.
"Wilhelm Friedrich, it's a pleasure to meet you." William joined in.
Soon, William learns the names of the other students in the dormitory, Terry Bout, a very lively little chubby boy. Earl Cameron, a black guy who likes to play the saxophone, and Ike South, a boy who seems to be a bit introverted.
However, except for Terry Bout, who appears in the original books, no one else is mentioned in the original books.
William handed them the class schedule, and Terry exclaimed exaggeratedly as soon as he glanced at it,
"Merlin is on top! No, the first day was a two-class Potions class! Professor Snape will eat us! ”
"Professor Snape? Is he scary? Earl, the black guy, asked.
"Terrible, no, no, no, terrible isn't enough to describe him, except Slytherin if you ask any wizard and they'll tell you that this man is a complete villain." Terry exaggerated, successfully scaring Earl and Ike.
"Legend has it that he never gave extra points to houses other than Slytherin. However, his hatred is mainly for Gryffindor, and has little to do with us Ravenclaw. William comforted his two roommates.
"Besides, he's arguably the youngest potions master of the century, and it's good to learn a little bit from him."
Soon, the little wizards felt sleepy, and they went to bed, the lights went out, and a group of people slowly fell asleep.
The next day, William woke up early, and looking at his three sleeping roommates, William took out a clock from his magic bag, which was one of the gadgets he had made after teaching himself alchemy. It's not much like a normal alarm clock, but this one is powered by magic.
William set the time in case his three roommates slept too hard and missed the first class, then packed up his things and quietly walked out of the dormitory. William planned to take advantage of the breakfast to visit the castle.
William wandered through the deserted castle, first finding a passage near the tower, to the owl hut in the west tower, and to see Jupiter.
The little golden eagle was very unhappy that William woke it up so early, and William fed Jupiter a lot of jerky before he barely quieted down.
After that, William slowly walked down the tower, and groped his way to the Great Hall according to the path he had taken yesterday.
William didn't rush in, but continued to walk down, he was going to see the location of the Potions classroom first.
Soon, William found his way down, but after descending to a platform, the steps in front of him split into two to the left and right, leading in two different directions.
William thought about it for a moment and decided to walk down the road on the left first.
William soon found the locked classroom, not far from Professor Snape's office.
Further inside is the Slytherin lounge, William thought. Then I walked back the way I came.
Then we explored the road on the right, which, unlike the dim and damp road on the left, was lit with torches and decorated with delightful pictures depicting all sorts of delicacies.
It's very Hufflepuff-esque, William thought as he walked.
You know, the founder of Hufflepuff Academy, Helga Hufflepuff, was not only an outstanding master of herbology, but also a very good gourmet, who invented many food-related charms in his lifetime.
The food delivery spell in Hogwarts Great Hall is said to have been created by Hufflepuff.
Soon, William's magical perception revealed an anomaly, a picture of a large silver platter full of fruit.
A large green pear on the edge of the silver plate caught William's attention, and William reached out and took out his wand and lightly tapped it on the pear.
One second,
Two seconds,
Three seconds,
Nothing happened.
Was it the wrong way to open it, William looked at the painting in front of him and fell into deep thought. Why does this painting look so familiar?
So he put away his wand and gently stroked the big pear with his hand, and the big pear in the painting showed a comfortable smile, and seemed to like William's touch, but nothing happened.
Isn't that right, but it seems that touching with your hand should be correct, so William reached out again, but this time he gently scratched the big pear in the painting, and this time the big pear was scratched by William and laughed, and suddenly turned into a large green doorknob.
Merlin is on top, isn't this the door to the kitchen! It was magic, William finally remembered. He gently pushed open the door disguised as a picture scroll and stepped inside.
Soon, William came to a room with a high ceiling, almost as large as the Great Hall, and four long tables arranged in the same position as the Great Hall. Glittering copper pots and basins are piled up beside the surrounding stone walls, and on the other side of the room is a large fireplace made of bricks.
Since William had risen too early, the long table was not yet full of food, and the house-elves were busy stacking pumpkin porridge and pies on the long table.
"Ahh Merlin is on top! The elf turned around and found William standing in the doorway, and after two seconds of quiet staring at William, it suddenly screamed excitedly.
William felt like he had probably received the warmest reception ever: surrounded by countless house-elves.
"Sir, do you need something?" "Would you like something to eat, sir?" "How can I help you?" They chattered.
"Just find me something to eat." Originally, William wanted to wait to eat in the Great Hall, but since they were all here, how could he go back on an empty stomach?
Apparently, however, the house-elves did not really grasp what William meant by casualness, and in a short time they came up to William with a full plate and looked at him with large expectant eyes.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
"Merlin is on top! Thanks for setting the alarm, otherwise we would have almost overslept. Terry rushed into the Potions classroom with his two other roommates, and looked at William, who had just finished eating, and said with a grateful expression.
"Come to think of it, if we're late for the first day, Professor Snape will kill us!" The black guy Earl said with some fear, and Ike on the side nodded in agreement.
"Have you had breakfast, I've brought you some pies." William took out a couple of pies wrapped in brown paper from the magic bag and handed them to his roommate.
"Thank you, William! You're such a nice guy. ”
This should be the first good guy card he has received in his life, William looked at the three wolfing roommates helplessly, thinking helplessly.
