Volume 2: The Holy War of Blood Chapter 57: Another Dimension
"Did you ask me why I'm here?" said Winter, laughing, "just because I think they're still alive and of some use." β
"Did you do such a thing for such a boring reason?" Grent sneered, "You bastard, how could you make a move for such a simple reason?"
"Believe it or not. Winter waved his hand nonchalantly, "I really just think they're alive and there's some use, and there's nothing I can do to convince you if you don't believe me." β
"What the hell is going on?" Kane asked, staring at Winter, "shouldn't our souls be stripped away and sent to the underworld?
"This is not the world. Winter explained, "The place where you are now is a unique dimension created by my ability, the Saint Xenomorph, and this space obeys my consciousness, so I think this explanation should make sense a little. β
Kane comprehended the mystery of this space in an instant: from the beginning, their souls were not sent to the underworld, but were absorbed by the other dimension created by Winter, so as soon as he reopened this space, the souls would naturally return to their bodies.
"Is it a space-based ability?" Rex said with some surprise, "This ability is rare among rarities, and even if you have this ability, you may not be able to manipulate it flexibly, I really didn't expect your ability to be space-based." β
"Don't you all know now?" Winter said with a smile, "Vincent and Chigusa Wakaba have already been thrown into another dimension by me, and if you want to get them back, you'd better cooperate with me." β
"Are you and I don't exist?" Grent glared, "As long as I'm alive, don't try to save them, I'll fight you with all my might." β
"I've been thinking about that kind of thing for a long time. "For someone like you, who is eternally loyal to the BPRD, no matter what I say, it will be of no avail." β
"If that's the case, then don't blame me for doing it. As soon as Grent finished speaking, he teleported to Winter, and then held out his finger to his forehead.
"You too will fall into the Underworld, Word Underworld!" Grent yelled, looking unconcerned at all as he faced Glent Winter, who had already activated his abilities, and just smiled at him.
"Didn't I say that?" said Winter, looking into Grent's eyes, "this is a different dimension controlled by me, whether it is someone else's soul or my own, it is all under my control." β
"So my abilities don't work in this space?" Grante immediately took a few steps back, since his abilities were completely ineffective, then he had to find another way to get out of his current predicament.
"Listen to my advice. "As long as you're willing to be on my side, I'll let you get out of here, and stop being foolish loyal, you'll have to learn to be flexible." β
"You!" Glent was relieved of his spirit state, and he already had a bold but risky idea in his mind. "Since you think I'm on your side, you might as well tell me what you want. β
"My purpose is simple. Winter sighed softly, "I had to do this to save humanity." β
"Good one to save humanity. Glent said as he put his hands behind his back, "So what sacrifices do you need us to make in order to achieve your goals?"
"Sacrifice is inevitable. Winter continued, "It is impossible to create a future for humanity without sacrifice, and I will launch a revolution to shatter this decaying world, and humanity will have a tomorrow again." β
"Do you want to make a deal with Hell for something like this?" Grent had already noticed everything, "You guy, I'm afraid you've already colluded with Hell!"
"I am not in cahoots with Hell, I am just using each other, believe me, as long as I follow my plan, humanity will definitely be truly redeemed. β
"And then the surviving humans will rejoice over the bones of others!?" Grent rebuked, "Do you think the rest of humanity will accept the tomorrow that has been exchanged for the bones of countless innocents?"
"At least they're alive!" Winter retorted.
"There is no difference between living like that and dying. β
"Even then, at least they're still alive. Winter's tone was very cold, "You don't understand the nature of human beings at all, humans are such creatures who can survive and will be grateful to Dade, so they don't care what the price is paid for." β
"Spiritually dead humans are not human beings at all. Grent took a few steps forward, "They have lost everything in the human spirit, and if so, what is the difference between them and animals?"
"You don't understand it at all!" Winter said with a wry smile, "I will only talk about some nice and beautiful truths here, but there is always a distance between the ideal and the reality, and you don't understand how far away this distance is!"
"I don't understand, but I believe that humans prefer to create the future with their own hands!" Glent pulled out a short knife from his waist with the hand behind his back, and before Winter could react, he launched a surprise attack.
The dagger stabbed into Winter's chest with precision, blood splattered onto Grent's face, and Winter, who had been stabbed, staggered back a few steps before finally steadying his crumbling body.
"That's fast!" Winter pulled out the short knife on his chest, "It's a pity that the accuracy is a little worse, otherwise I would have been killed by a single blow." β
"Didn't you stab the point?" said Grent, looking at Winter as he pulled out his knife, "but even then, you'll quickly fall into shock in massive hemorrhage, and if you don't treat it in time, you'll only be dead." β
"Don't think of me too simply!" Winter chuckled grimly, "Do you think I'm vulnerable to this level as the leader of the Wild Hunt?"
"Is this!?" Grendt watched in amazement as the changes were taking place in Winter's body, the wound was healing rapidly and at a speed visible to the naked eye, which was simply impossible for humans to have.
"Impossible!" Kane exclaimed, "Only those who have been endowed with demonic powers can possibly have such powerful self-healing abilities, are you!?"
"Don't overthink it. Winter laughed at the wounds, "I didn't make a soul-selling deal with Hell, I just used what I got in the lab for my own body. β
Did this guy really get his hands on it? Glent was shocked, if that was the case, it would be terrible.
The BPRD headquarters laboratory once developed such a thing: mixing the demon's self-healing genes with human genes to obtain an agent that can greatly strengthen the human body, and in the end, this seemingly impossible thing was successfully developed thanks to the efforts of scientists.
The name of this potion is "Evil Dream", and as the name suggests, it is something that has gained great power through evil means, and because after the injection of the potion, humans will fall into a state of rage, almost as if they are possessed by demons, so this potion was quickly banned.
However, five years ago, someone suddenly broke into the headquarters laboratory and took a box of "evil dreams", which caused a lot of uproar at the time, but finally ended up because no evidence was found. And now that Grent has actually seen the "evil dream" here again, there is no doubt about the murderer of the year.
"Was that the one who infiltrated the lab?" asked Glenn, "I didn't expect you to do such a thing, it's outrageous." β
"That's just what I told my men to do. Winter made an innocent expression, "I won't get my hands dirty myself, but in order to prevent my subordinates from leaking secrets, I have to end his life." β
"You kill people!" Grent felt that his behavior was very despicable, "although I knew that Wild Hunt was a lawless organization, I didn't expect you to cross the moral threshold again and again. β
"The purpose of the establishment of Wild Hunt is inherently dishonorable. In the face of Grent's insults, Winter seemed to be unconcerned, "Where is the glory of an organization that has been set up from the beginning to hunt down and kill our compatriots? Only those who live in darkness can find a place to live here, what right do you have to criticize us?"
"Stop talking nonsense. Grent rushed at Winter, and Winter didn't even look at him and curled up his palms slightly, and the next second, Winter, who was running, froze in place.
"Since you don't want to join, you'll have to be banished to another dimension forever. Winter looked at him and said, "If you're lucky, you might be able to survive in another dimension, and if you're unlucky, you'll be crushed at once." β
"You bastard, I won't survive you even if I'm deadβ" The space around Grent distorted again, and he vanished in a thousandth of a second, leaving not even a trace.
"That's a tough problem. Winter breathed a sigh of relief, "Then it's time to talk about your affairs next." β
"What do you want?" Rex said straight to the point, "but you should be on our side for the time being, or you won't come to our rescue." β
"Make no mistake. Winter raised an eyebrow and said, "I'm not on your side, I have my own purpose, I just want to borrow your power, it's all for myself." β
"You can talk. Kane rounded, "But at least we have to show us that the objectives of our mission are intact." β
"You're so cautious. Winter glanced at Kane, then snapped his fingers, and the space was immediately torn open. "Then come with me, and we'll talk about it when we get there. β
