Chapter 236: Death Party
"No! You've promised Nick, and he'll be disappointed if you don't go. ”
In the Gryffindor common room, Hermione said to Harry with some seriousness.
As Halloween approached, our savior looked at the group of lion cubs who were waiting for the dinner party with some regret in his heart.
If only I had rejected Nick at the time!
The savior was a little remorseful, and he agreed as soon as his head was hot, but after a few days he remembered that William was going to this party too.
This afternoon, he tentatively asked his two best friends if he could not attend Nick's death party.
However, what Harry didn't expect was that Hermione would righteously refuse him, and even Ron seemed to be looking forward to attending the death party.
Merlin, what the hell is wrong with the two of them?
"Yes, I heard Fred and George say that the death party is very interesting, and you will not only see ghosts from all over Europe.
And you'll also be lucky enough to taste the very special food they prepare, which you can't see at Halloween dinners. Ron said to Harry with some excitement.
Originally, he was not very enthusiastic about the death party, but after Fred and George accidentally found out that they were going to the death party, the twins did not fool Ron.
Of course, in a sense, what they say is true, and those foods are indeed very rare.
Ron, on the other hand, did not disappoint everyone, and the twin brothers only used a few short words to impress him, who was originally uninterested.
Do ghosts really prepare food suitable for the living?
Harry had a vague feeling that things weren't as rosy as Ron had imagined, and before he could figure out how to explain them, Ron and Hermione pulled out of the Gryffindor common room.
At about seven o'clock, the three of them followed a passage to the lobby on the first floor, and through the slightly closed door, they could clearly see that it was full of lights and decorations.
Outside the gate, there were two huge jack-o'-lanterns, which were as tall as Hagrid, and it seemed that all three of them could still be a little rich.
"Cool!" Harry was a little surprised and speechless, there wasn't a pumpkin this time last year.
"Why don't we go to dinner first, or at least eat something before we go." There was also some hesitation in Ron's eyes
Contrary to Harry's focus, his stomach growled as he smelled the strong smell of food wafting through the crack in the door.
Both turned at the same time, looking at Hermione with longing eyes.
"Ron!" Hermione glared at Ron with some dissatisfaction, and she pulled the two of them, who were still a little reluctant, and turned around and walked in the direction of the underground classroom.
"Food will also be prepared for the death party, and we have all said it."
"Let's just go eat a little bit." They had walked down the stairs for a long time, but Ron still muttered a little unhappily.
After passing through a corridor filled with small, black, thin candles, they heard a strange sound.
It was a very piercing sound of grinding claws, as if a thousand pairs of claws were scraping across the blackboard.
"What the hell is this?" Ron asked, his voice sounding trembling, and his body trembling.
"I don't know, maybe it's some kind of musical instrument!" Our savior doesn't seem to be getting any better either.
The sudden drop in temperature made the unprepared two very uncomfortable.
"You call this a musical instrument? It's not a birthday party, but it does sound like it's about to die. Ron grumbled as he tightened his cloak, but it didn't make him feel better.
"Where's the cold medal for the two of you?" Hermione asked, looking back at them strangely.
Compared to Harry and Ron, who were trembling all over, Hermione's complexion didn't look too good, she didn't seem to be affected by the cold temperature at all, and the girl's face was even faintly ruddy, because the road just now was too fast.
"I'd rather freeze to death than use something invented by that nasty little Ravenclaw face, who would laugh at me if he saw it." Ron shook his head vigorously, then looked at Harry with a pleading look.
Compared to William Doron's disgust, he also didn't like to see William, the huge gap between the two people in many ways often made Ron feel very inferior when he thought of William, no one likes this feeling, not to mention that the relationship between the two people is already very tense.
Not using the alchemy products made by William was the boy's last stubbornness.
"Me too." Sensing Ron's gaze on him, Harry had no choice but to speak.
His medal has lost its original role because it has been used for too long, and he has not yet found time to replace it with a new one.
It seems that our savior, for unknown reasons, did not tell his two good friends that William would most likely be present at this dinner.
"I don't know what you guys think!" Hermione snorted and didn't continue to speak, William had become a taboo word for him after what had happened on the court.
The atmosphere became a little silent at this point, and several people walked forward silently, leaving only empty footsteps in the cold underground passage gradually echoing into the distance.
Soon, at the end of the underground corridor, they turned a corner and saw Nick's almost headless transparent body as white as pearl.
Compared to before, he had an extra black velvet curtain draped over his body, which looked like a large cloak, and he didn't know where he got it.
"Welcome! Welcome, my friends. Nick spoke in an almost aria tone, his voice full of sadness that gave goosebumps to his body at the sound of it.
"Welcome to my 500th birthday, I'm so glad you guys are here." With that, he took off his hat and bowed slightly to thank Harry and the others.
"Do you like it, Miss Granger? This black cloak was a birthday gift from William. Noticing Hermione's gaze on her, there was a rare hint of joy in Nick's sad tone.
"To be honest, I think black doesn't match my current body, and my aesthetic has changed a lot since becoming a ghost."
Before Nick could finish his sentence, Ron and Hermione interrupted him impatiently.
"You just said William? William is here too? The two men asked in unison.
