Chapter Twenty-Nine: The Mighty Bird

Time flew by like a white horse, and soon, William had been living at Hogwarts for a short week.

On Friday morning, William sat at the Ravenclaw long table in the Great Hall, as usual, eating breakfast. At this moment, with a noisy flapping of wings, hundreds of owls flew into the auditorium.

These owls flew around the long table until they found their owner. Then throw the letter or package onto the young wizard's lap.

Of course, the owl's delivery may not always be so accurate, at least William glanced around and found several hapless little wizards.

The owl threw the package into the pumpkin porridge in front of them, drenching the hapless eggs.

A bird of prey, apparently larger than the other owls, flew into the auditorium, circled in the air, and let out a high-pitched chirp that caught the attention of everyone in the auditorium.

Merlin is on top! That's a golden eagle!

What a mighty bird!

There was a whisper in the auditorium, and the young wizards were talking, guessing whose messenger it was. Even Dumbledore looked at the golden eagle with interest.

It seemed to have spotted its target and flew straight towards William, and the owls screamed and avoided it as if they had met a predator.

The golden eagle ignored the owls, it flew straight towards William, landed on William's raised arm, stretched out a leg, and handed William the package tied to the leg.

William unwrapped the package and fed it a few strips of meat from the magic bag, a jerky made from yaks from the Tibetan region of the East, which was the little one's favorite.

After a few days of not seeing, Jupiter seems to have gained a lot of weight, and it seems that the little one is also having a good time at home during this time.

"'Merlin is on top! This golden eagle is yours? Terry, beside him, looked at William in disbelief.

"That's pretty cool, isn't it? How did you get it? The boy's voice was full of envy.

William could feel that the eyes of the little wizards in the auditorium were focused on him again.

"'At the babbling owl shop in Diagon Alley, when I went to shop for an owl, the owner happened to have a golden eagle in his hand.

Then I really liked it, and I bought this little fellow as a messenger, and I called it Jupiter. ”

"Wait, Diagon Alley? Could it be that the rumor is true? Did you really go to Diagon Alley to sweep the goods? ”

"It's not a sweep, I just bought a little bit more." William's face was full of modesty, "I think men need to satisfy their shopping desires from time to time. ”

"Go, Jupiter, stay in heaven for a while, and I'll look for you outside in a moment."

William said to the golden eagle that he was going to take Jupiter to visit Hagrid in the morning and give the little one a new home.

Jupiter let out a humane cry, and after eating the last piece of jerky from William's hand, it left William's arm and flew outside.

William put away the package, and the two continued to communicate in a low voice, but he noticed with his peripheral vision that Professor McGonagall was walking towards him with a serious expression.

"Mr. Friedrich, I don't remember that it was written on the Hogwarts admission letter that students were allowed to bring large birds of prey as pets."

For Professor McGonagall, who abides by the rules, William's move is really a bit unruly, so Professor McGonagall has a straight face and a somewhat serious tone.

"No offense, Professor McGonagall." William stood up,

"However, since the average owl may not be able to handle such a long distance, I have no choice but to choose the golden eagle as the messenger, Professor McGonagall."

William wouldn't believe that school accounting was such a trivial matter.

Sure enough, Professor McGonagall just nodded, and then spoke to the other young wizards in the Great Hall,

"I know what you're thinking, but Mr. Friedrich is just a special case.

Hogwarts still only allows students to choose toads, cats, and owls as pets. ”

"It's not fair! Professor McGonagall, why can he raise it? ”

Several voices rang out on the Slytherin table. The little snakes, who are not bad for money, seem to want to have such a handsome pet.

"Because you're enough with owls, Flint. Hogwarts is not a place for you to show off. ”

It turned out that Professor McGonagall was not trying to get into trouble with herself, but to stop the trend.

If this unhealthy trend is not stopped, then soon, every morning in the auditorium, there will be a scene of birds of prey in the air.

William had breakfast, said hello to his roommates, and headed out of the castle.

Friday's Ravenclaw only had a class on Sprout's herbs in the afternoon. William wanted to visit Hagrid to see if he could give Jupiter a home in the Forbidden Forest.

After all, as the little one grows up, the owl shed seems more and more cramped, and if the little one is here, it also makes the other owls feel very uncomfortable.

William stepped out of the castle, keenly sensing a familiar wave of magic hovering in the sky above him.

For William, who can already perceive the world with magical power, it is really simple to be able to perceive a mana mark with his own unique magical aura that he has arranged.

William walked through the fields and soon came to the edge of a forest.

The Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts is home to a large and diverse array of magical creatures, forming a unique and wonderful ecosystem.

From sniffing and protecting trees to unicorns and horses, the species richness of the Forbidden Forest is jaw-dropping.

However, the Forbidden Forest is also fraught with danger. The eight-eyed spider, a large, ferocious predator. Its large crow can easily crush the bones of its prey, secreting venom from its mouth that can quickly cause prey to lose consciousness, and most deadly, the eight-eyed spider is a social creature that reproduces quite quickly.

In addition to this, the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts is home to some of England's most dangerous plants: dragonclaw vines and thorn trees.

In the depths of the Forbidden Forest, after passing through the territory of the centaur tribe and the eight-eyed spider, you may find a dense forest that is silent.

In the dense forest grows a long, entangled vine that secretes mucus.

When you find this rattan, if you are still nostalgic for the world, turn around and leave. Because this rattan is a dangerous magical plant called dragon claw vine.

Its rattan can sense the movement of surrounding creatures, and once it is spotted, the extremely long rattan will quickly entangle its prey.

Not only does the slime on the rattan protect it from the fire spell, but it also contains an extremely acidic venom that can even melt bones as part of its nutrition.

Dragonclaw vines digest a prey and never leaves a trace.

As for the thorn tree, it is used to kill

It can feel the shaking of the ground in a radius of several kilometers, and then use its narrow roots to break through the dirt and pull creatures under the soil to digest it slowly, and it digests an animal without leaving a trace.

Even the wildest, most adventurous Weasley brothers, only live on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, near Hagrid's hut.

Even Hagrid or Dumbledore might not dare to claim to know all the secrets of the Forbidden Forest.

As for what exactly lies in the depths of the Forbidden Forest and what kind of secrets it contains, no one else may know it except for the Big Four.
