Chapter 114: The Knight Bus and the Knocked Out Elf
William walked out of the perfume shop with a look of satisfaction on his face.
He waved goodbye to Fleur, and the two exchanged addresses for correspondence. He then placed a few bottles of carefully selected men's perfume in a magic bag and walked towards the outside of Enchanted Alley
It seems that little Jubbit will have a lot of work to do in the future, and William should definitely write more letters himself, because this will not make the little one lazy.
In the perfume shop, he bought himself several bottles of men's perfume. William thinks so, since he has already spent so much, it is not bad for this, and it is considered to enjoy life by buying a few bottles for himself, anyway, he is not very bad for money for the time being.
He liked one of the fragrances, Sapin, which means fir in French, a light, woody note that William liked very much, and it smelled like a snow-covered forest.
Perhaps this is one of the benefits of high inspiration, which is more likely to evoke associations when smelling some smells.
But it's not too early, it's time to get down to business, and now is not the time to think about it.
William walked out of the Enchanted Alley, eating a few random things along the way, and the French Auror at the entrance was gone, probably off work.
In his place was another unsmiling-looking black doorman, who scrubbed William at a close glance before slowly opening the door of Madame Maggie's ready-to-wear store.
William walked out of the ready-to-wear store and looked back at the store's door. A seemingly ordinary store door separates two completely different worlds.
He pulled out his wand, stretched it out into the air, and waved it gently.
From the end of the Champs-Élysées, a purple three-story bus sped towards William, and with the deafening sound of the wind, it stopped in front of William.
The most surprising thing was that the Muggles around seemed to be oblivious to the sudden appearance of the car, and their eyes would not even linger on it for a short time, as if it were empty.
"Welcome aboard the Knight Bus, an emergency transportation used to help sorcerers in distress, and we can get you anywhere you want to go. My name is Owen D'Arosa and I'm the conductor for this bus. A young man in a purple uniform opened the car door and said to William.
He has curly brown hair and big black eyes that make him look enthusiastic.
"Take me to the Mormal Forest in the Norbadkare region, next to the forest there is a small village called Kaznak, where I want to go." William straightened his windswept hairstyle, stepped into the car, and said to the conductor next to him.
He had carefully looked at the map that Lemay had given him, and it was supposed to be the closest route into the forest from around the village.
"Twelve silver cocoa, if you pay fourteen, you can enjoy hot cocoa and a more comfortable bed."
William tossed him a gold Galleon and walked towards the car.
"Don't look for it, arrange a more comfortable position for me."
"Yes, sir, please. We'll give you priority to your destination. The smile on the conductor's face became even more enthusiastic, and he led William all the way to the third and most top level of the bus.
William noticed that compared to the somewhat crowded beds on the first and second floors, the third floor was more spacious and bright. And each bed room will be separated by a bed curtain, giving the wizard a certain amount of privacy.
Capitalism of all evils!
William said with disdain in his heart, and then sat down next to a bed by the window that D'Rosa had prepared for him, which was probably the best position on the third floor.
The location is wonderful, and there is a window to look out onto the surroundings.
"Seragi, it's time to drive! Go to the village of Kaznak in Norbadkare Kare ! The conductor waited until William was seated and yelled downward.
Seragi? I guess it's the name of the driver of this car.
Then, William only felt the thud of the car, and then drove forward quickly, and soon he felt that his galleon was too worthwhile.
Because the bed on the third floor is firmly fixed in one place, William does not have to worry about being thrown out with the bed. And the most important thing is that there is a fixture like a seat belt on it.
He didn't bother with why the names of the attendants and drivers were different from those in the original book, because there was not only one bus in the European magical world.
In fact, it is arguably a policy developed by the Ministries of Magic of various countries, and one of the few wizards that draw some inspiration from Muggle society (although many wizards do not admit it).
The wizarding world has been in need of safe and discreet transportation for minors or infirm, and there have been a number of suggestions, though most of them don't sound very reliable.
For example, taxi-style broomsticks, saccharides hanging baskets underneath Thestrals, and even offers to tame Hippogriffs and let them pick up wizards.
Isn't that?
The Hippogriff is a dangerous creature of the xxxx level marked by the Ministry of Magic, and it is the same level as the troll, second only to the danger level of the fire dragon.
Eventually, the British Minister for Magic at the time, Dugged McPhail, came up with the idea of mimicking the Muggles' "bus service".
This idea was strongly supported by the Ministries of Magic in other European countries, and eventually, the Wizarding Transport Company and a large number of knight buses were born.
These buses were scattered across Europe, allowing them to cross borders without fear of being censored by the Aurors.
Of course, the first thing to do is to go to the Ministry of Magic to get an entry certificate, and the knight bus does not help wizards to smuggle in illegally.
It can be said that the advent of the knight bus has greatly improved the travel of wizards, because not all places have fireplaces and Floo network systems.
However, some extreme wizards (mainly pure-blood fanatics) are still very resistant to this kind of bus, and they consider it an insult and blasphemy to wizards.
But the words of these crazy people don't affect most wizards, who love this convenient and fast way of getting around anytime, anywhere.
However, even MacPhail probably didn't expect the wizard bus to be so frustrated, and William looked out the window at the blurry houses, and thought with some disgust, he felt like he was about to throw up.
.................................................
William walked briskly through the forest with the map in hand, heading towards the place marked by the red circle, and behind him, floated a house-elf who had passed out, Lucy, who had been knocked unconscious by William's spell.
Although he had been out of the car for a while, although William tied himself to the bed to avoid the possibility of motion sickness as much as possible, when he got out of the car just now, he still felt a strong feeling of vomiting, and now his steps still looked a little vague.
I must be looking very ugly now.
Thinking of this, William took a jar of energy potion, and his somewhat green face was only slightly better.
He looked at the forest in front of him, it was already getting dark, and it was just right, touching the darkness, into the Black Forest.
