It is a miracle that they can be found in the fields, if it weren't for the lack of time at the seaside, and the only few boats that have been encountered on the island for years have passed!

The legendary experience of rescuing a pod of dolphins gave me a sense of accomplishment, and although the process was intense and urgent, the result was wonderful!

After a twenty-minute break, the dolphins were gone, and I was ready to return home, it was like a dream, but it was a beautiful and unforgettable dream, and it was worth cherishing in my heart!

On the second day after I returned, it was inevitable to go to the well a few hundred meters away to fetch water, because the water tank at home was empty, and the capacity of the nearby well was too far away to be enough.

The volume of a bucket of water has always been very disliked, and I plan to expand the capacity of the small well even more after the recent lack of work.

There is nothing to say about the process, and after a day, the volume of the small well reaches ten buckets of water, which is almost five hundred catties, and it looks like a lot of five hundred catties in weight, but it is not the same at all on the well.

The capacity of 500 catties is still not large, but it is enough for this place, the small well can only produce about one bucket of water per day, and it will take at least more than a week to fill it, or under normal circumstances!

After all, it is not the main water supply itself, but it can provide some relief from the pressure of carrying water, so my eyes still shifted to the big well.

The problem of large wells is completely opposite to that of small wells, one is close but produces less water, and the other is far away but has a lot of water, so it is constantly hovering between the two.

I've had enough of the trouble of carrying water, especially the occasional bad weather and having to go far away to fetch water, so I'm planning to start another big project.

This project is the --- water project!

Don't be intimidated, this is supposed to be the most primitive tap water, and it's essentially not technically difficult, just a lot of time to pile up.

Although I have been carrying water since I came to the island, I can save about three days of water in three or four hours at a time, so I can't say how troublesome it is, but I want to save more effort.

After the standard of living reaches a certain level, I think that I can steal more lazy children, and there is tap water that can flow directly into the kitchen, so I don't have to worry about carrying water in the wind and rain in the future!

The plan was also possible thanks to the fact that the height of the well was sufficient, and there was a difference of thirty or forty meters between its location and the location of the house, otherwise it would not have been realized!

Another reason for my confidence is the discovery of bamboo on the island, which is not only used to make various utensils, but also to drain water.

All of these factors are quite favorable, so it's no surprise to make a plan!

The first step is to dig a small drainage ditch more than 600 meters long between the well and the house, along the side of the road where water is usually carried out, and of course their role will only be to place the water pipes, not to carry the water.

Although the amount of water from the well is not bad, at a distance of 600 meters, it will be absorbed by the land if you can't walk to the house at all, and there will be no drop left!

Even if it can be delivered when the water is abundant, I may not dare to drink the water that is delivered, and it must be mixed with all kinds of strange miscellaneous items, so the task of transporting water can only be completed by bamboo.

Digging a drainage ditch looks very simple, it involves a lot of content, first of all, you need to observe the terrain, on one side of the road does not mean that it is parallel to the flatter road, the ditch above eight degrees of growth will be higher than the road, or sloped.

In fact, it is necessary to try to form a straight line, especially not too much curvature, not only is it difficult to operate, but the joint of the bamboo is not so convenient.

The third step is, of course, to minimize the distance of the bridge, the island is a typhoon high incidence area, a year without two or three years of typhoons without the New Year, the water pipe in the air is definitely quite unsafe.

There are many more things to pay attention to, but the main ones are these, and my plan is to get the tap water before the sweet potatoes are ripe, and then you can use tap water to clean the sweet potatoes.

In addition to the drop in temperature in October, the reason for this activity is that the temperature has dropped significantly, and more importantly, the number of poisonous insects has been significantly reduced, and the frequency of snake activities has also decreased significantly, and the safety of operation is more guaranteed!

There is nothing to prepare for, you can dig the ditch and then cut the bamboo, so I checked it on the road, and I started work directly after I had a rough line in mind.

In fact, the process is similar to the situation when the island was first explored, only need to keep moving forward and open up a road about one meter wide, and finally dig a drainage ditch.

The first few hundred meters are relatively flat, and most of the difficulty is concentrated in the downhill position of the well, and one section of it may need to be held in the air to complete it successfully!

The digging of the ditch took less time than I expected, reaching at least 100 meters a day on average, so it was only three to five days before I moved on to the next step.

There is nothing to say about cutting bamboo, the main thing is to choose bamboo that is long enough, relatively straight, and has an intact appearance without damage, but the workload is far from being comparable to digging drainage ditches, and it is incomparable.

After trimming the length of the bamboo, you can only choose a length of 6 meters, so at least more than 100 pieces......

More than 100 bamboos not only have to be cut down, but also to clean up the bamboo leaves on them, and after carrying them home, they must also open up the two ends of the bamboo, this step can only be completed by the inertia of the chisel, and the process will be more troublesome.

A hole slightly thicker than a finger is formed in the middle of each bamboo, through which the water flows slowly into the final kitchen.

It took a lot of effort to get all the more than 100 roots, and at one point I wanted to give up on introducing tap water, but in the end I persevered!

After all the bamboo tubes are carried to the ditch, they are placed in the drainage ditch dug in advance and tightly connected together in the order of the big head on the top and the small head on the bottom.

Because the ditch itself has a certain inclination, the water flow will not leak out with the backflow at the interface, which is also a detail that is noticed in advance.

Because of the terrain, the hanging distance is short, and it is only necessary to erect some wooden stakes with a length of twenty or thirty meters, which is not very difficult, and the trouble is how to get water from the well for bamboo.

The well overflows most of the time due to the abundance of water, so I chose to trim the lowest part of the outside of the well into an arc.

Then cut the thickness of one side of the bamboo tube contact well to the thickness of a knife, so that it will be attached quite firmly, and the water will not flow away from the bottom of the contact position.

Everything is not difficult to say, but the difficulty is that the length of more than 600 meters magnifies the simple process countless times, which also leads to a long construction period!

When the bamboo closest to the well was trimmed and put into the well, I was excited, because this was the time to verify the results, and after fixing it, I couldn't wait to run back to my house and wait for the tap water to flow out of the bamboo tube.

Waiting, waiting, waiting,

The successful flow of well water into the kitchen along the bamboo tube marks the completion of the tap water project, and of course proves that the efforts of the past month have not been in vain, and there is no need to carry water again under normal circumstances.

Of course, bamboo has a limited lifespan, especially in the open air, and it is not as good as metal pipes and plastic pipes.

But there is no problem with two or three years, and it only takes ten days and half a month to replace the bamboo tube after two or three years, after all, the line can still be used ready-made, and before the bamboo tube is not rotten and leaking, there is no need to worry about carrying water!

After the completion of the main body, some small imperfections still need to be put in the finishing touches, first of all, a calf-thick hole was punched in the wall on the kitchen side to facilitate the entry of the bamboo tube.

The current test is only entered along the doorway, which is not operable at all, and even the door cannot be closed when a typhoon comes.

And sufficient water is not a small water tank can be filled, the extra water also needs to be properly solved, if it is allowed to be wasted, the waste is their own hard work, there will be a sense of guilt!

The water flowing out of the tank is about the thickness of chopsticks, and I am afraid that it will flow down more than 1,000 catties a day, and it will not help to use up all the containers at home, and my daily demand is only two or three hundred catties.

You can only take a line off the bricks on the kitchen floor, dig a ditch to the swimming pool, and then use a few bamboo tubes to press into the ditch and then bury the soil, so that the water will flow through the bamboo tube to the swimming pool.

After burying the soil on the bamboo tube and re-laying the bricks, it is no different from the usual state, and there is no need to expose the ditch at all, killing two birds with one stone!

With sufficient water, the problem of water shortage in the swimming pool can be completely solved, and the extra water can fully compensate for the amount of water that evaporates every day, and it can often be replenished by a large amount of rainwater.

From the current point of view, the swimming pool should be able to ensure that it can be used normally for more than 300 days a year in the future, and the problem of the pool will be solved by the way to solve the problem of fresh water, which makes me very happy!
