So I plan to open up a new piece of land and let the current land rest for a year, this plan is very practical, but the amount of work is really not small, so that I have been busy in the field for the next half month.

Fortunately, two acres of land were finally opened up in the busy half a month, and I have to say that this is the benefit of this huge vacant land on the top of the mountain, and there will be no shortage of land!

If the topography of the island does not have an open space on the top of the mountain, then it is unrealistic to farm and build a house on the top of the mountain, and even the fresh water is very hanging, I believe that all this is due to my own luck!

After the two acres of land are trimmed, they are mainly used to plant several important crops, such as green vegetables will still be planted in the current field, but the spacing is widened, and more than two acres are planted with the previous half an acre.

I still feel that it is a waste to be completely idle, and the sparse planting of vegetables will not reduce the fertility too much, and I also pile all the usual plant ash and all kinds of manure into the ground, so that the fertility will continue to rise.

This year's planting area will not be significantly improved, peanuts have half an acre, potatoes have an area of 100 square meters, and the rest is corn and sweet potatoes divided equally, each with more than half an acre.

No one knows for sure what the climate is, but I will still do what I need to do, do my best and obey the destiny of God, and I can't stop farming this year because of last year's losses.

In late March, all the green vegetable seedlings were transplanted into the ground, and all the seeds were sown, which made it much more leisurely.

A disaster that I feel very far away from, even if it is not aimed at me, I am just a small ant in its huge area, but the truth is that I am scared by the earthquake!

One morning in mid-May, everything seemed normal to me without any warning, and this time there was no sixth sense to alert me that an earthquake was coming......

Around 12 o'clock in the morning, I was weeding the crops, and this year's crops are growing very well, but the weeds in the field are also jumping fast, and I have to roughly weed the field once a month or so.

All of a sudden, I felt like the earth was shaking, and the whole world was shaking, and I couldn't even hold my standing posture!

I can't remember the last time I experienced an earthquake, at least more than a decade ago.

For this sudden situation, I didn't react at all for a while, and I was even confused in my head!

A few seconds ago, I thought it was my own physical reason, because after squatting for a long time, I would get up with Venus in my eyes, which led to a sudden trance.

But after a few seconds I saw rocks rolling down from the top of the mountain, dust in some places, and the whole ground was shaking, and I was sure it was an earthquake!

As I continued to shake, I looked at the house, but I mustered up a lot of courage, I was worried that the house had been reduced to a pile of rubble due to the earthquake!

The house is still there, but the roof tiles have become a little messy, and a lot of them have fallen, as long as the house is still there, I can put my heart in my stomach!

The rocks on the mountain were still rolling downward, making a "boom" sound from time to time as they hit the ground and stirring up a cloud of smoke.

The fact that you can see the sea in the distance is also different from normal, and the waves become irregular, and even directly offset by the waves formed by the earthquake, all kinds of phenomena show that this kind of earthquake is not simple!

It all happened quite quickly, too late, and after thirty seconds, the strong shaking stopped, and everything was back to normal.

If it weren't for the messy tiles on the roof and dozens of rocks falling from the foot of the mountain, I would have thought I was just dreaming, because the rest of the place was basically unaffected!

The crops in the fields are still the same, not a single one has fallen, and the woods and the sea are still in their pre-earthquake state, so it doesn't seem to affect me!

I was relieved to see this, stopped the little thing I was doing to clean up the weeds, and returned home to check on the damage to the house.

First of all, I walked around the perimeter of the house to check the damage, and I was relieved to see the damage.

At least 100 tiles had slipped off the roof, and there were many cracks in the walls, the widest of which was from top to bottom, and the widest part was about two fingers, and a finger could be put under the wall.

Although there is a slight worry, it is quite good that a house made of bricks and earth can withstand such a strong earthquake!

The biggest wave of strong earthquakes has passed, and the aftershocks are difficult to have any impact, and after my assessment, the house is still habitable, which is the best news for me, and I don't want to toss around the house......

After repeated inspections and judgments, I feel that the safety risk of the cracks to the house is still controllable, but it takes time to repair.

Seeing that there was no loss in all aspects, I put my heart down, adjusted some wet mud to mend the cracks, and then repaired the messy tiles on the roof.

It may take another two or three days to solve the situation of the tile, although only about a hundred pieces have fallen, but basically all of them have changed positions, and from the inside of the house it looks like there are gaps everywhere, like a sieve!

After repairing the wall, I have been busy on the roof, although there are still small aftershocks behind, but I don't take it too seriously, even if I stand on the roof I don't care, historical experience tells me that aftershocks are basically not as strong as the main shock, but I can't help it!

It was only half an hour before I climbed on the roof, and it was only an hour before the earthquake, and when I stood on the roof and looked up, I saw the unusual surface of the sea, which I am afraid has only seen in previous science fiction movies!

The moment I saw it, only two words came out of my heart, "terrible"!

The waves were coming at me, and the overwhelming momentum was terrifying, even if it was at least five kilometers away from me!

And it's not like ordinary waves, it's a whole in sight from left to right, and if you stand on the beach and watch the huge waves, you can simply scare people's souls.

Seeing it pounce on me from far and near, I now even feel the urge to run down to the ground, which is a natural reaction caused by the shock of the heart, and has nothing to do with where I am!

But after reacting to my position, I calmed down a little, because I was on the top of the mountain, with a vertical drop of nearly 200 meters from the sea, and I was completely at ease.

Instead, I got off the roof and climbed quickly up the hill, which was not a good place to watch, and there were two places on the top of the hill where I could enjoy the view.

That's right, I was shocked and began to look at the tsunami with the eyes of the scenery, it was the first time in my life that I actually watched the tsunami, or maybe the only time in my life, I really didn't want to miss this visual feast!

As a modern person, there is always the idea of hunting, and watching movies can also belong to this category, and the various scenes in it are very shocking, not to mention this kind of real scene.

There is no doubt that it was caused by an earthquake, but it also shows that the intensity of this earthquake is quite high, and the tsunami that reached a speed of hundreds of kilometers per hour only arrived here an hour later, which shows how far away it is from me.

And it is surprising that such a significant tremor can be felt at such a distance!

Because of the relatively high standing, it is not possible to accurately predict the specific height of the tsunami, but the first impression in my brain is compared to some objects I usually know about the seaside, the huge wave is at least 15 meters high, that is, about four or five stories high!

Accustomed to seeing ordinary high-rise buildings, looking at this more than ten meters high waves of course feels nothing to shock, but when you really experience it, you will find the horror of its energy!
