Chapter 295: The Lively Great Hall
"Did you hear that a student was attacked last night?"
"Of course, I heard that it was a first-year Muggle wizard in our house, and Professor McGonagall came to the Gryffindor common room late last night to explain the situation to us."
"It is said that on Halloween Eve, Filch encountered the same cat, which was attacked by something that caused the whole body to become cold and stiff, as if it had been petrified."
"Who do you think this would do? Attacking a cat is enough, how dare he attack other students at Hogwarts under Professor Dumbledore's nose? ”
"Who knows, but I guess it's probably some Slytherin lunatic brainwashed by the bloodline, otherwise who would go crazy to attack Muggle wizards?"
"What's that Gryffindor wizard you're talking about?"
"Looks like it's called Colin, Colin Creevey."
The next morning, William and a few of his roommates had just entered the Great Hall when they heard the chatter of the little wizards.
After all, paper can't contain the fire, and there was such a vicious attack last night, and the next morning, it was already rumored to be boiling.
"What the hell happened last night?" Terry asked, confused, he hadn't been out of the Ravenclaw break room since Quidditch, and he hadn't even eaten dinner because he was addicted to playing cards.
"Let's go ask Penelope-senpai what she should know."
The group walked all the way to the Ravenclaw long table, where a haggard Penero was sitting, absentmindedly fiddling with the food on her plate with her knife and fork, she looked like she was in a daze, not knowing what she was thinking.
"Penelope, what happened last night?" William asked Penelope, and at the sound of his voice, the prefect jerked her head back, and she gasped, a look of horror on her face.
"Did it scare you? I didn't mean to. ”
"It's okay, I was a little distracted and thinking about something else." Penelope shook his head slightly.
"What the hell happened last night? Why is everyone talking about this? William repeated the question.
"There was another attack last night, and a Gryffindor student was petrified." Penelope said with a heavy face.
"It's like a little boy who adores Potter like crazy, and was petrified on his way to visit Potter in the school hospital, and it is said that the principal and professors found him with a bunch of grapes in his hand." The prefect told William about what had happened last night, and judging by her familiar tone, she was afraid that she had already told others about it more than once.
"Are there any new attacks?!" Terry asked, incredulous, so surprised that he didn't even notice that his mouth had grown.
"yes, and the killer hasn't been caught until now, and this morning, Professor Flitwick complained to me that he had fallen asleep last night and that Dumbledore had been searching the castle for a long time, but found nothing but a boggart hidden in the closet in the faculty's lounge."
Was it the faculty lounge that Professor Lupin led the little wizard to when he was in third grade?
That Boggart wouldn't be the one who became Snape in women's clothing!
William secretly thought in his heart, but he took pity on Professor Flitwick and the other deans, who had to carefully search the castle almost every year since Harry Potter entered the school, or go to the Forbidden Forest to patrol it.
"Did Professor Flitwick say anything else?" He continued to ask with some curiosity.
"He also asked me to remind Ravenclaw students not to be too late to return to the Ravenclaw common room until the killer is caught, and it's best to go anywhere in a group." Her words made several of William's friends shrink back in fear.
"Especially you, William, Terry told me that you always go out alone and don't know what to do, and then come back to the break room very late." Speaking of which, Penelope looked at William with a very serious gaze, and among these people, William was the only one who went out regularly.
And often all day out.
If it weren't for William's being sorted into Ravenclaw College, and his family being far away in Germany and having no connection with Slytherin, Penelope would have been like Ron, wondering if William had opened the secret room.
"Don't worry, I've been going back to the lounge early these days." William nodded obediently, he still cherished his little life, even if Penelope didn't say it, he wouldn't be as unscrupulous as usual in the castle's responsive house until late to go.
In fact, most of the students at Ravenclaw House are not like William, they mostly like to stay in the common room, sitting by the bright fire and doing what they like, and most often go to the Hogwarts library.
So Penelope's words are still somewhat useful, if this matter is changed to Gryffindor, those little lions jumping up and down will not easily follow Percy's advice.
"It's good that you know what you know." Penelope quickly put the food on his plate into his mouth, not caring about his own image.
It may be that she feels that after being called the lioness of Ravenclaw by the other three colleges, she has no image to speak of.
After gobbling up, Penelope asked William as he packed his things.
"William, can you do me a favor?"
"Of course, what can I do to help you?"
"I'm going to the library to review in a while, and I don't have time to be here, can you help my later Ravenclaw students explain what happened last night?" Penelope asked.
"And Professor Flitwick's words, please tell every Ravenclaw student who arrives."
"No problem, leave it to me here." William readily agreed.
As Penelope left the table and hurried towards the outside of the auditorium, Ike whispered to a few people.
"You say, that legend can't be true!" Ike swallowed nervously, his voice trembling slightly.
"I mean, did Slytherin really leave a monster in the Chamber of Secrets before he left Hogwarts to purify all the people he thought weren't worthy of studying magic?"
"So what are we going to do! Aren't we in danger now? Earl was also a little nervous.
After the first Muggle Wizard victim appeared, they finally realized the seriousness of the problem.
"What legend?" While a few people were quietly talking, an ethereal voice suddenly sounded from behind them.
