Although a small amount of salt is replenished in a short period of time due to choking on water due to frequent going to the sea, it is necessary to refine purer table salt in the long run.

In fact, this is only one aspect, the most important problem is that the food has been white since the island, which is very resistant.

For people who have lived in the city for a long time, it is already very painful without seasoning, and if the food you eat does not even have a salty taste, it is not painful, it is simply painful!

There are only a few ways for people to be happy in this life, and the pleasure brought by food may be said to be the first, and being deprived of the right to taste food, the whole life seems to have lost its meaning!

I've had enough of white food, and it's imperative to make salt......

The process of making salt is not too complicated, and a lot of the salt we usually eat is refined from sea salt, but my way may be a little simpler and crude.

Of course, we can't underestimate its simplicity, not directly evaporate the seawater and then eat it directly, that kind of salt contains too many impurities, and the quality and taste will not be too good!

After everything is ready, first go to the beach with a plastic bottle to fetch seawater back, and then use the filter device made when you first arrived on the island to do a simple filtration, this step is very necessary, so that the sediment and a small part of other impurities will be excluded.

This procedure is not simply boiling directly, but filling it up every time there is only half a bucket of water left, and repeating until a thick layer of crystals precipitates at the bottom of the barrel, and then completely dumps the seawater on it.

In this step, the upper layer of crystals where most of the impurities have been precipitated will also flow out with the pouring of seawater, and the last remaining crystals will be table salt.

You must know that the chemical name of salt is sodium chloride, and the sea salt that comes out of boiling dried seawater directly also contains potassium chloride and magnesium chloride, which are harmful to the human body, and long-term consumption will have extremely serious consequences, ranging from metal poisoning to ......

But after my two simple steps, I can remove about two-thirds of the original potassium chloride and magnesium chloride, which is also the limit of what can be achieved under the current conditions, after all, I am not from a science background!

At present, the most urgent thing is to solve the problem first, and the food health and safety issue is something that needs to be considered later.

Now what is distressing is that the stainless steel bucket can only hold about 20 catties of water at a time due to its relatively small capacity, and the efficiency is too low.

From after lunch to about 10 o'clock in the evening, I kept the fire vigorous all the time, and only then did I dry about 50 catties of seawater and obtain less than a catty of coarse salt, which made me happy and very frustrated at the same time.

The efficiency is much lower than I expected, because the salt content of standard seawater is 3.5%, that is, 100 catties of salt can refine 3.5 catties of salt, and after I cooked it myself, I found that not only the quality of salt is 108,000 miles worse than the salt I usually buy, but the efficiency will also be so much worse!

In addition to the low efficiency of boiling water, it is also very troublesome to draw water from the sea because of the restrictions on the container, and several plastic bottles can only hold more than ten catties of seawater at a time.

50 catties of seawater ran three or four back and forth, although the distance is not too far, but up the mountain for two or three hundred meters can also make people breathless, if it is a large bucket, 50 catties is a trip.

Now there is an urgent need for more containers that can hold water to solve the water storage problem, even if it is a plastic bottle, as long as there are more can make me happy!

When drowsiness was about to fill my mind, I decided to stop boiling salt for the day, and after a day's hard work, white crystals two or three centimeters thick had settled at the bottom of the barrel.

After pouring out all the seawater on the top and then boiling it into a batter, the barrel is lifted from the fire, and it is extremely wrong to completely boil it in the barrel, so the consequence is that the bottom layer will be directly pasted and become a waste product, and the fruits of hard work will be wasted!

The salt in the bucket will be dried tomorrow, but before that I put a little bit of it in my mouth with my fingers and tasted it, and the only thing I felt was --- salty!

It's still the original recipe, it's still the same taste, although there is still a little bitterness of seawater, but the astringency is not obvious compared to drinking seawater directly.

There is no problem with eating, plus the filtration before cooking, in general, it is relatively clean because there is no sediment, but the color is not as white as the previous salt, and it is slightly yellowish.

Of course, the biggest trouble is that it is very wastewood, the amount of firewood used for less than ten hours of continuous fire today is enough for four or five days of cooking, which is also fortunate that the forest resources on the island are very rich, and because of the impact of the typhoon, dry firewood is not a few, otherwise this is definitely a nerve-wracking problem!

Rao is like this, more than half a month plus today's consumption has also consumed most of the ready-made firewood within 50 meters nearby.

I don't have to worry about food lately, and the water vapor evaporates relatively quickly due to the higher temperatures, so I'm going to store more salt in case I need it.

I don't want to have to take the time to cook salt every once in a while, and if I'm busy, I'll eat white food.

Of course, I think it's very troublesome to rotate between multiple things, and the calculation may not be as efficient as doing one by one.

The next two days were boiled salt, and the amount of time from morning to night was even greater, and the three days accumulated about 200 catties of seawater.
