Chapter 309: Longbottom and Onion
After the second attack, the atmosphere inside the castle began to take a strange turn.
Not only Ravenclaw, but also the freshmen of the other three houses often gathered in groups, and they walked through the corridor with nervous expressions, as if a monster would suddenly come out of nowhere around the corner and eat them all.
Although the teachers continued to reassure the students, this empty rhetoric was of little use until the murderer was caught, and William's impetus led to a trend of buying amulets and exorcisms in the castle from Ravenclaw College onwards.
Students hide from their professors, compete to buy all kinds of strange amulets, and then compare themselves with others, no matter what country they are, students of this age always have a comparison mentality.
And of all the kinds of protective equipment, William's things were the least popular with the students.
Thanks to the good credit from selling the Winter Medal in the first grade, William's protective equipment was swept away in just one week, and it felt like the supply was in short supply.
After all, compared to the strange talismans in the wizarding world, the protective glasses and amethyst pendants made by William are undoubtedly much more normal, and they are more acceptable to those Muggle-born little wizards, who are the ones who really need the protection of glasses.
Not to mention that William's alchemy products really worked, and after a well-planned performance with the Weasley brothers, people were even more confident in the protective equipment that William made.
Of course, there are also many students who are not poor in money, and buy a lot of amulets from various places, such as Neville Longbottom of Gryffindor, who buys all the common amulets among the students, and then wears these messy things on his body.
As a result, no one wanted to walk within five steps of him, and the musty onion tasted too great.
"Mr. Longbottom! I must warn you once again that if you insist on wearing that ridiculous onion head, then I will have to ask you to leave the Transfiguration class! In Transfiguration, Professor McGonagall spoke to Neville as she couldn't take it anymore.
"You've seriously affected my class."
"I really can't figure it out, isn't Longbottom a long-established wizarding family? He's not a Muggle wizard, so why is he so afraid of being attacked? Next to William, Terry asked William in confusion.
"And, isn't it good for him to wear the alchemy products you made? Why did you fix such a disgusting thing! He muttered with some dissatisfaction.
"Maybe he thinks it's safer to stun him before the killer attacks." William spread his hands helplessly, he couldn't do anything better about the stench that swept the class, and using the bubble head charm that purified the air was too high-profile.
"Why do wizards love these weird things! Is it bad to wear protective glasses that you made William? Ike, who was wearing glasses, also said with a depressed face, he is now wearing protective glasses almost all the time.
Seeing that Professor McGonagall waved his hand and disposed of the rotten green onion head with the Vanishing Charm, except for Longbottom, who still had tears on his face, almost the entire class breathed a sigh of relief.
The source of the stench that lingered in the classroom was finally gone.
And so, after a week of fear for the students, the second Quidditch match was finally about to begin, with the Ravenclaw team taking on the Hufflepuff team, which more or less diverted the attention of the students.
"It's going to be a game soon, aren't you going to train today?" Two days before the game, William looked at Terry, who was lying on the couch in the Ravenclaw lounge, making a salted fish, and asked with some curiosity.
"Of course I've trained, I just came back from the Quidditch pitch and my arms are still a little sore." Terry replied weakly.
"Do you have any potions to relieve muscle fatigue, hurry up and give me some, I have no less than three hundred Bludgers flying today."
"I remember there's a bottle, I'll look for it later." William sat aside, then rummaged through the potion box in the magic pouch and rummaged through it.
"How's the preparation for the Hufflepuff matchup?" He asked as he rummaged through the potion.
"Do you still need to prepare for Hufflepuff?" Terry raised his head and said with some confusion, "We're mainly doing targeted training for Gryffindor and Slytherin now. ”
"Beware of capsizing in the gutter, Terry. Draco was just careless at the time to lose the game. ”
"Don't worry, William." Terry patted his chest, looking full of certainty.
"There's really nothing too big for the Hufflepuffs team to target, as long as I limit Cedric's play on the court and keep him from catching the Golden Snitch, then they don't pose a threat at all.
It's not for nothing that their team is at the bottom of the Academy Cup every year, and the attack of those chasers is too weak to be a match for Ravenclaw. ”
"Here's what you're given." William handed Terry a glass bottle containing a milky paste-like solid.
"It's for relieving sore muscles, apply it to your arm and you'll be fine tomorrow morning."
"Thank you so much, I don't know where you got these strange potions." Terry took the potion from William's hand with a hippie smile on his face, looking heartless.
"Bought it, in the shop in Diagon Alley, next to the shop that sells magic materials, there is a pharmacy that sells common potions."
"Of course I know that store, the point is why do you buy so many potions when you have nothing to do?" Looking at the bottles and cans that were about to fill the potion box, Terry asked a little strangely.
"Of course I drank it!" William replied angrily, he took the potion for Terry to use, why did this guy still look heartless.
"Otherwise, what will I buy it for, it is mainly energy medicine, and there are some miscellaneous auxiliary drugs used to calm the nerves and sleep and relieve physical fatigue."
William briefly described the effects of these potions, and of course, there were some shady things in his private collection, such as the elixir of truth and the decoction of polyjuices.
But these were properly placed by William in the hidden compartment of the box, and were not placed on the outside at random.
He has always been very cautious, and this valuable quality will also allow him to go further on the path of magic.
