Chapter 102: The Howling Ghost

Jeno clenched his fists and was chained in front of Urgat.

He lowered his head, breathing heavily, as he looked at the eavesdropping little mouse, his eyes resting on his crystal arm, his eyes glowing brightly.

"No matter who you are, death will treat you equally, feel the pain before you die, and I hope you can hold on a little longer."

Jeno only had his arms covered in crystals, but Urgart didn't shoot, and he wanted to watch the dying struggle up close.

Only a wail of pain could give his battered body a glimmer of vitality and let him know that he was still alive.

Looking at the chainsaw that was getting closer and closer to him, the shrill beep reminded the skill of a nightmare from his childhood.

Every time he goes to the dentist, when the smell of decay floats in the air, he imagines what would happen if he accidentally bit a high-speed drill into his teeth because of the pain.

Then he found that he didn't dare to think about it.

The situation was similar now, Jeno closed his eyes and did not dare to open them, waiting for the torture to fall on him.

Click!

The sound of the rapid chainsaw turned sharply, and the imaginary pain did not come, and Jeno opened his eyes, and the crystal arm was stuck between the two chainsaws, and he kept letting out a squeezed wail.

Before Jeno could rejoice, Urgart played a bad joke on him:

"I'm sorry, I didn't expect it to be a hard bone, I have to use fifth gear to entertain you."

As he flipped on a switch on his waist, the chainsaw spun violently again, a humming sound that filled Jeno's brain with a violent vibration, and the crystal arm guards were littered with debris, and the flying debris hit his face with pain.

Fear spread through the indentations of the crystal, and Jeno watched in horror at the sawn-down armor, even as the debris flew into his eyes.

Boom!

When a gunshot rang out, the chainsaw on Jeno's left snapped, and he reacted first, quickly moving his body to the left, freeing up the trajectory for Caitlin to aim at the chainsaw on the right.

Urgarte was very dissatisfied, and he had been guarding against Caitlin attacking his head, but he didn't expect the little girl to attack his chainsaw instead.

He lifted the machine gun welded to his left hand and fired at Caitlin again, so bullets that she couldn't lift her head from behind the rocky wreckage.

This time, no one could save Jeno, the chain shrank again, the crystal armor reached its limit, and a small gap was sawn, and the sawsaw's sawtooth was scraping the flesh off Jeno's forearm little by little.

The gap grew larger and wider, the blood mist filled the air, and the pain could be endured at first, but then the pain intensified, and the pain finally made Jeno cry out hoarsely:

Whew~

Whew?

Everyone present was stunned, this was not Jeno's scream, it was clearly a wolf howl!

Jeno looked up, and he saw a huge head and two crimson eyes sticking out from the edge of the skylight, looking greedily at him, or rather, at the wound on his hand.

The monster on the skylight leaped down and landed behind Jeno, encircling him in the middle with Urgart.

The monster was in the form of a giant human wolf, its eyes emitting an angry red light, as if there was still a faint trace of sanity, and a huge alchemy pump embedded in the broad shoulder blades kept emitting a vicious green light.

"Howling ghost, don't come and grab things from me!" Urgart leaned forward and let out a loud growl at the werewolf.

But soon the werewolf regained his place with a longer, deeper roar.

"It's the success story Warwick, Ergart don't care about this kid for now, help me catch Warwick!" Sinjid was so excited that it was like seeing a naked beauty jump down, the gloom in his eyes was swept away, and the cloudy whites of his eyes seemed to have some chemical reaction, and became clear.

The werewolf glanced at Sinjid, the cloudy white eyeball with only one eye, and immediately brought back its most painful memories, its manic circle in place, the pneumatic steel claw augmentation inadvertently scraping sparks on the rock.

But the smell of blood in the air continued to irritate it, causing it to lie on the ground in pain, and the alchemical pump behind it began to inject synthetic anger mixtures into its body.

The energy accumulated in its body, and even overflowed, its body seemed to be on fire, its fur was red, and sparks floated out of the cracks between its fur, and as the anger reached its extreme, the last trace of clarity in the werewolf's eyes disappeared.

With a loud howl of wolves, the werewolf leaped to his feet, and the next moment he snatched his food, flew in front of Urgat, and pulled Jeno's arm out of front of the chainsaw.

The clattering sound of chewing sounded extremely cruel to Jeno, and looking at his empty cuffs, the shock had overshadowed the pain, and his mind went blank.

Since the crystal armor did not extend to the shoulders, the joints on the shoulders were much more fragile than the hard armor, so much so that the werewolves ripped the entire arm off the shoulder.

After Jeno's left arm detached from his body, the crystal armor covering it naturally dissipated, and now his arm had been chewed into pieces by the werewolves, gobbling it up and then reaching his stomach.

The werewolf then erupts again, scuffling with Urgart.

Sharp claws sweep through the air, guns roar!

Claw marks and bullet holes wreak havoc inside the mine, waking Jeno up.

Isn't it just a gecko's tail docking? The little reptile will make the trade-offs, and so will he!

He endured the severe pain, blocked the wound with crystal armor, and crawled with difficulty, taking advantage of no one to stop them, and escaped from this inhuman battlefield.

Caitlyn ran over to Jeno and put his still intact right arm on her shoulder, and staggered to the exit with his arms around him.

She pursed her lips and said nothing, now that her arm is gone, saying anything will not help, and it is a blessing in misfortune that people can survive.

The moist and swollen corners of her eyes proved that tears flowed from her eyes, and the sound of metal clashing from the depths of the cavern was nothing but heavy breathing in the air.

"Caitlin, reach into my coat pocket and take the contents away." Jeno spoke weakly, and he had exhausted the strength to vibrate his vocal cords, and could only use the faint sound of air from his tongue and teeth.

Caitlyn pulled a communicator out of her pocket, wondering why Jano had given her this.

"I've asked Madame Gray to pick me up, you keep this communicator, hide it in Zu'an, and wait for me to contact you and rescue you."

"You really have a good relationship with the Gray Lady."

Caitlyn glanced meaningfully at Jeno, then thought of something, her eyelids drooped, and she silently accepted the communicator, not wanting to ask anything more.

I don't know how long she walked, but Caitlyn heard the sound of a winch, and a figure slowly landed in front of her, and she walked out of the darkness, her blue eyes were very conspicuous.

It was the Gray Lady, and she was watching herself.

As the Grey Lady approached, Catelyn heard the sound of metal scraping footsteps, and she knew exactly what it was, even though it was the first time she had seen the Grey Lady.

"It looks like I'm late, but money is always everything, and your arm can be used again."

The Grey Lady looked at Jeno's severed arm with a blank face, and then anesthetized him with a tube of needles to prevent Jeno from continuing to suffer from pain.

Caitlin let Lady Grey take Jeno from her hands, and she didn't know how to speak up close to the target she had been pursuing.

However, the Grey Lady is a talkative person:

"Caitlin, I'm going to give you a piece of advice – it's better not to try to jump out of the game, or it will lose its value as a pawn."

The grinding sound of the winch sounded again, and in the blink of an eye, Caitlyn was left alone on the edge of the cliff, looking dazed.
