Chapter 11: The King of Wronged Souls
Legri looked around, and there was no one but his own men who had become unjust souls and his old comrades who were fighting with him.
"You're here alone?" Legri asked.
"Or else? Do you still see that I still have teammates? Nelia asked rhetorically.
Legri was silent for a moment, a slightly worried look in his eyes.
"Okay, what happened to this city to get to where it is?" Nelia asked.
"I don't know the details, but what I do know is that I was having dinner with my family that day.
It was the same as in the past, but until a magical burst of power erupted in the palace, and the faint blue light that covered the entire night sky, I still can't forget it. β
There was a slight pause at this point, and Nelia didn't interrupt Legri's words, and sometimes she didn't interrupt the memories of others too much, maybe she would know more details.
"Then I hurriedly put on my armor and led the Knights towards the kingdom, and when I arrived, there were only terrible screams, and the corpses of soldiers with blackened skin all over the place, and their withered bodies were as thin as old men." Legri continued.
Hearing this, Nelia touched her chin, then opened the encyclopedia as if she was looking at the ground and thinking, and began to search carefully for more information about the Lost Realm.
Strangely, however, the information on the panel is all garbled, and with the exception of what is now known by Legre, the rest of the information appears to have been erased by the SCP Foundation.
"Looks like this is a main story." Nelia thought, looking up at Legri again.
"Do you know what is going on in the palace? For example, who casts a spell during this time, or who attacks? β
Legri shook his head, and during the conversation, there was not much left of Legri's soul. He looked at what was left of his spirit, "Lady Nellia, please take my Devourer and put an end to this nightmare that has lasted for thousands of years." β
Nelia was silent, looking at the Devouring Greatsword on the ground, then picked up the heavy greatsword and turned away.
Looking at Nelia's departing figure, Legri closed his eyes, "I've been wandering around this land of nightmares, but I'm glad I was able to fight you......"
The last words before dissipating were spoken, and the last of Legre's soul dissipated.
The warrior spirits in the distance resisted the repeated attacks of the Knights of the Souls, and the noble chivalry still affected the behavior of these Knights of the Souls, following the rules of duels and fighting one-on-one duels with the warrior spirits, and one by one they were injured by the warrior spirits and fell to the ground.
"Really...... What kind of general will bring out what kind of soldiers. β
Nelia, who had been secretly observing for a moment not far away, commented on the Knights of the Souls under LegrΓ's command, their faces distorted by the painful death, and even death did not distort their noble beliefs, one can imagine what kind of army this is.
Walking out of the ruins with the Devouring Sword, a pair of eyes emitting a strange red light looked at Neria, and the giant sword in his hand turned to the result of the duel with the Knights of the Unjust Soul.
"Your Knight Captain has been defeated by me, and I have given him the most glorious moment of being a Knight of all. Now it's your turn, and if you're ready, take up your sword and face me, and embrace glory like your knights. β
With that, Nelia slammed her Devourer sword straight into the ground, drawing her longsword and staring at the Knights of Unjust Souls.
One of the Soul Knights drew his spirit sword and stood opposite Nelia before attacking her. Nelia, wielding her sword, slashed at the Soul Knight.
The golden light lit up the blade in Nelia's hand again, and the Soul Knight who was hit was instantly purified, quickly turning into a golden light and dissipating, and then another Soul Knight stood up......
On the other side, the warrior spirit who had eliminated a knight of the unjust soul came back to his senses, and there was no more knight of the unjust soul in front of him, and he turned his head to look to the side and saw a long line of unjust souls lined up in front of Nelia.
And when he looked at Neria, the graceful sword dance made the warrior's spirit stunned, and the cold and arrogant expression on Nelia's face now bloomed with another kind of beauty.
Like the blue rose in the flower garden, there are thorny thorns hidden under the cold flowers, and now in the eyes of the warrior spirit, Nelia has become the cold and gorgeous thorny rose.
Looking at Nelia's figure blankly, the warrior spirit admired the picture of Nelia's battle, and he knew that the feeling in his heart was not love, but the attitude of respect for the warrior to watch.
Watching the battle in silence until all the Soul Knights had dissipated, Neria turned her head to look at the warrior's spirit, then turned to put the Demon Eater into her inventory.
"Do you know anything about the destruction of this city?" Nelia asked.
"I don't know, at that time I was still patrolling the city defenses, and when I realized that something had happened to the royal capital...... All you can see is an eerie blue glow emanating from the palace. The warrior replied flatly.
"It seems that all the spearheads are pointed directly at the palace...... "Neria thought with her chin in mind, and her quest panel popped up again, displaying the messages "Destroy the group of Soul Mages in the palace castle" and "Destroy the group of soul paladins in the palace castle".
"I need to go to the kingdom to investigate, can you show me the way?"
The warrior spirit heard Nelia's words, and then turned his head to look at the towering building in the distance, the broken window at the top glowing as it had been back then, and wisps of white mist like human faces hovered over the top of the building.
"Then let's go, time waits for no one." Nelia said as she took a step towards the palace in the distance, and the warrior spirit behind her didn't say anything, and walked in front of Neria with a step.
And in the palace, on the abandoned throne, the blue spirit slowly opened its eyes, and its distorted facial expression did not match the ornate armor on his body.
The unjust soul wearing the crown slightly picked up the purple-black two-handed war hammer in his hand, and then slammed it down on the ground under his throne, and the dull and loud voice echoed in the palace, awakening one unjust soul after another in the palace.
Soul mages wearing mage robes and holding spirit staffs, soul paladins wearing armor and holding spirit hammers, and countless soul soldiers and soul maids awakened at this moment, and the eerie and twisted roar of pain reverberated in the abandoned palace.
And in the midst of these twisted roars, in one of the rooms, a spirit was huddled in a corner......
