Chapter 1 The City of Smog

Same environment, same darkness.

Walking through a long tunnel, enduring a feeling of nauseous vertigo.

Some are used to this situation, and there is no other way to get used to it, except to spit up for a while, Sean has no other channel to complain that Calder's service is too inferior.

He's not a consumer who didn't pay Calder to set up these trials, and, by all accounts, Calder isn't as good as the "four-chin man," well, in business.

The familiar tunnel, the lights are still yellow, like Sean's inner torment.

The Book of Rubick was placed in Sean's lower back, with an iron sword pinned to the other side.

The life card was properly placed in the personal part of Sean, but fortunately, this time it was not left in the previous world by Calder like Kazuko.

Probably because of its small size, or maybe the small piece of paper doesn't have much impact on the rest of the world.

Kazuko, Sean has mastered the core technology.

If in the world of the sea, Sean's brain is hot, and the worldwide Resident Evil, the picture is too beautiful.

Playing with the original Aghanim's Scepter, Sean didn't know what to say.

Perhaps, from the moment he was ready to leave, he never had a chance to turn back.

The only choice Sean can make is to go all the way down to the next trial.

The only consolation is that I don't need to kill to pass the trial, and other methods have been proven to work.

Looking at the white dots of light in the distance, the destination has arrived.

"Let's go!"

"Hmm."

Even if the foggy city has reached the point where the view is blocked, it still can't change the pace of people's lives.

The old car is driving the bumpy road, and the driver does not look like an experienced driver.

After waiting for a few minutes, he couldn't help but honk his horn wildly, trying to get pedestrians in front of him to make way for him so that he wouldn't miss the day's clock-in time.

All they got was a cacophony of swearing and the complaining gazes of passers-by.

Maybe it's because the driver's horn is a little scary, or maybe in their minds, passing the road quickly is the best option.

Only the driver who was in a hurry was dizzy.

As if the car had lost its weight, the front wheels had left the ground, and then the four wheels took off.

The throttle suddenly increased, and the driver's eyes became red, and then he kicked hard.

The car rushed towards the crowd like a wild horse that had broken away, as if to aspire to the ridicule of the pedestrians, in order to vent all kinds of unhappiness in his heart.

With a hideous smile, the driver loudly released the resentment in his heart.

The car, however, did not cause an extremely serious car accident as expected.

Flew up, that's right.

Exclaimed, stunned.

People can fly, and they also rely on tools.

And the car is just a means of transportation that travels on the ground, but I never thought that the car could also fly.

Pedestrians were amazed by what they saw, something strange they had never seen before.

However, this situation only lasted for a few seconds.

The pedestrians who stopped because the car suddenly flew up, after a moment of emptiness, returned to the place where they dared to go to work, punched in and clocked in, and worked.

As if no car had ever been flying, keeping the rules of action of the past, they once again threw themselves into life.

Naturally, the flying car did not disappear, but was hidden from everyone's view.

In addition to the rookie driver, whose hideous expression was fixed on his face, there were two other people in black robes who got into the car.

"Let me see who is so bold as to use magic on the streets!"

The man did not care about the principle of whether the man gave or did not kiss, and roughly inserted his hand into the arms of the newcomer driver, and after groping, he took out a small notebook.

"Arthur, take him, a novice who has only been learning to drive for two and a half years, dare to use magic on the street, send him to the Department of Magic, and let him know how much trouble he has caused us."

"Yes, I'll do it right away."

Cars and people gradually disappeared from view.

No one noticed anything unusual, except for the newcomer, a somewhat impatient man.

"Ahem, damn the weather, is that magic?"

"We look like it, but their magic is a little naïve."

Sean could feel the disdain of the Book of Rubick for the two men's use of magic, after all, not everyone had the same vast knowledge as Rubick.

If it weren't for the help of Oya and the Book of Rubick, Sean believed that his magic skills would probably not be as good as those two.

Just watching the two of them wave the small wooden sticks in their hands can make a large number of people forget about the car flying, which makes Sean very interested.

This kind of forgetting spell can not only be used to erase the memories of the melon eaters, Sean has many bold ideas in his mind.

"Ahem, let's get out of here first, ahem, damn the weather, I've had enough of this city, ahem."

Jumping from the roof and wearing a hood to hide his appearance, Sean shuttles through the smog-filled city with the Book of Rubick.

Had it not been for the slight fluctuation of mana, Sean swore that he would never set foot in the city again.

Such a smog city is really not suitable for him, at least, his lungs have been warning that this is not a suitable city for people to live in.

Presumably, if Smoker had come to the city, he would have forgotten that he was still a navyman, and would have stayed here desperately, in order to feel the air that smelled like his hazy fruit.

The city also has a familiar name for Sean London.

The old tavern, it seems, is at least two hundred years behind the city.

Creaking, dilapidated gates.

The smell of oil smoke and the sticky floor were a bit too quiet unlike the usual taverns.

Taking out a tissue, Sean covered his mouth and nose while patiently wiping the greasy chair, over and over again.

"The old rules?"

"Oh Tom, just keep the old rules clean, clean the cutlery, or I won't pay, you know."

"Oh my God, why do you have a guest like you, well, poor Tom has worked hard to earn a little gold Galleon."

"It's good to call it gold coins, gold coins are gold coins, and Jin Gallon sounds quite embarrassing."

"Poor Tom can't help it, if Shaun becomes the Minister of Magic, maybe you can get those guys to convert gold Galleons into gold coins."

"Come on."

A bubbling beer, a fried golden fries, and a sea fish wrapped in a coat.

This is the food that Sean has been eating for a week.

As an extremely picky person, there is really no way to choose such a match.

Fish and chips are probably the only food that the city can get their hands on.

Compared with the tasteless mashed potatoes, or the unflavored beef that has to be seasoned twice by himself, Sean still chooses to follow the heart.

There were no conditions to buy a building, so Sean had to book a room on the second floor of the tavern for a long stay.

No matter how bad the conditions are, at least when it comes to dealing with a long-term financier, the boss Tom will still clean up the utensils used by Sean.

Those ugly stains with the traces of time can't appear in front of Sean.

The room is not a good place, and the environment is not an exaggeration.

The reason why Sean chose to stay here is just for convenience.

The tavern is only the surface of the case, and more, this tavern is used as a gateway to another world.

It's like seeing a car fly up in the morning, and the world not only has a modern atmosphere that Sean is familiar with, but it's also compatible with unscientific magic.

The bedside and the table were filled with different types of books, and Sean, who returned to the room, lay on the bed, picked up a book about magical creatures, and looked slowly.

The Book of Rubick is said to be worthless mages, but their knowledge is still helpful to Sean.

At the very least, he didn't have to contend with the difficult ancient script, and when the books became unreadable, no matter how determined Sean was, it would only be half the effort.

"Magic? Do you want to catch a dragon and keep it for fun? ”
