Chapter 353: Liu Guanshan can't die
Liu Kanshan can't die, no matter how strong the momentum of the demon clan is, the Two Realms Mountain can't be broken.
After a day's insistence, the demon clan slowly retreated, and this was just an appetizer. Liu Guanshan called Xie Baoshu alone, and the two of them were in the cabin together. Liu Guanshan looked at him and said with a smile: "It's a fairyland, it's really fast, the land of Kyushu, have you seen it?"
Xie Baoshu nodded and smiled: "I've seen some places, but I haven't seen them all." ”
Liu Guanshan was silent for a moment, he knew what Xie Baoshu was in a hurry to come to the Two Realms Mountain for. He hesitated for a long time before he slowly spoke and said something to Xie Baoshu.
What is the core of the practice? When we do the practice day after day, do we slowly become anesthetized by the form of the practice and forget the original meaning of the practice? Yes, we have learned a lot, we can recite long scriptures, we can recite complex mantras, we can meditate in two circles.
We have worked very hard to do this, and we have been praised by others, so that we think that we have cultivated very well, and we gradually regard these "appearances" as the practice itself without realizing it, as if as long as we complete these "homework" every day, we are diligent, and we are one step closer to liberation.
As everyone knows, people have turned their cultivation into a new habit, such as: they have a set of truths in their mouths, they are still anxious to get angry when they encounter problems, and they refuse to eat the slightest loss; I think that I am "cultivating" and "improving", but the essence is only superficial, and there is no change in the inside. What good is this kind of "practice" that does not enter the heart for us?
The question of life and death is a major philosophical issue in life. Although it is an inevitable law of dialectical development, people's desires always hope to prolong their lives, especially the supreme rulers of the exploiting class, who always hope to maintain a life of wealth and glory, arrogance and lasciviousness for a long time, and greedily pursue immortality.
In the Spring and Autumn Period, Qi Jinggong said: "Ancient and immortal, what is the joy?"
During the Warring States period, a group of alchemists appeared, and in order to cater to the psychology of the princes and nobles seeking immortality, they fabricated the lie that there was an elixir of immortality at sea. After Qin Shi Huang unified the six countries, Xu Fu, a scholar of Qi State, wrote that there were Penglai, Abbot, and Yingzhou three sacred mountains on the sea, and many immortals lived there, and if they could reach it, they could ask for immortals and immortal medicine.
Qin Shi Huang sent Xu Fu to lead thousands of boys and girls into the sea to seek immortals, and after several years, a lot of manpower and material resources were spent, but nothing was found. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Fang Shi Li Shaojun said to Emperor Wu that gold can be refined with dansha, and gold can be used as a drinking vessel to benefit longevity, and you can see the immortals on Penglai Island, so Emperor Wu sent Fang Shi into the sea to seek peace and other immortals.
"Hug Puzi" said: "It's a pity to be alive, and it's terrible to die." ”
Therefore, immortality and becoming an immortal are the main ideas of Taoism, and it is also the purpose of Taoism's cultivation. In order to cultivate immortal immortality, first of all, you have to prolong your life, and the role of medicine is also to cure and prevent diseases and prolong people's lifespan, so medicine has become a necessary means of immortal cultivation.
"Hug Puzi? Miscellaneous Responses" said: "Therefore, those who were Taoists at the beginning of ancient times should also practice medical skills to save the near disaster." The so-called "near disaster" refers to the various diseases that people suffer from. early
Taoism, such as the Taiping Dao and Wudou Mi Dao in the late Han Dynasty, combined preaching with healing.
Due to the epidemic of infectious diseases and plagues in the late Han Dynasty, Taoists used cheap Chinese herbs and "Fu Shui" to treat people's diseases, so that some people could be reborn.
Therefore, Ge Hong said that "prolonging life" and eliminating disasters and curing diseases "became a Taoist business. Wang Zhe, the founder of Quanzhen Dao, said: "The medicine is the beauty of the mountains and rivers, and the essence of plants and trees. ...... If a blind doctor damages a person's body, a person who learns the Tao must not pass it, and if he does not understand it, he will not be able to help the Tao. If you don't cling to it, you will be detrimental to yin gong, and if you are greedy for money and goods outside, you will spend money on cultivating the truth inside. ”
This shows that those who learn the Tao must be proficient in medicine, and medicine is helpful for the promotion of religion, but they must not be persistent, take medicine as a profession, or even use medicine to greed for money. This kind of immoral behavior, of course, is detrimental to Yin Gong, and it is impossible to cultivate to become an immortal.
To sum up, there are two reasons why Taoism attaches importance to medicine: First, if you want to cultivate to become an immortal, you must take alchemy, and medicine is an important means of taking alchemy. Second, medicine can help the living people of the world, and the use of medicine to cure diseases and save people and get close to the masses is one of the best ways to expand the influence of religious propaganda.
In order to cultivate the truth and become an immortal, Taoism has all kinds of cultivation techniques, such as taking alchemy, guiding the qi, opening the valley, storing the spirit, and the secret art in the room, etc., so Ge Hong said: "Those who know the art of Xuansu can only live in the room; those who know the way of breathing and accepting can prolong their lives; those who know the secret of Qu Shen can say that the guidance can be difficult to grow old; and those who know the prescription of plants and trees can say that only the bait of medicine can be infinite." ”
Although these cultivation techniques of the Daomen are aimed at cultivating the truth and becoming immortals, they are vain and superstitious, but they contain the scientific content of medicine and health preservation. As a traditional religion native to China, Daomen has always attached great importance to the protection of the natural environment. "Lao Tzu Xiang'er Note" put forward the theories of "keeping the way of neutrality", "impulsiveness is harmony", and "harmony is mutually beneficial".
The qi of "neutralization" has the function of "harmonizing all things", and is an important foundation for the harmonious coexistence and symbiosis between man and nature.
It can be said that the nature of "Tao" is "neutral", it is natural and harmonious, and only the harmony of heaven and earth can have the growth and maturity of all things. "The Way of Neutralization" is an important ideological resource for Taoism to pursue a harmonious life and harmonious nature.
Starting from the harmonious idea of "the way of neutralization", the Taoist theory of ecological harmony emphasizes the harmonious coexistence and coexistence of man and nature. "Man is the law of the earth, the earth is the law of the sky, the heaven is the Tao, and the Tao is the nature" is the Taoist criterion for dealing with the relationship between man and nature, which reflects the ecological ethics of Taoism and nature, the ecological wisdom of the unity of nature and man, and the ecological construction of harmony and symbiosis.
"The Way of Neutralization" embodies the Taoist idea of harmonious ecological ethics of "Taoism and Nature". "Man is the law of the earth, the earth is the law of the sky, the heaven is the law, and the Tao is the law. The nature of the Tao is natural, and the law is based on "non-action". All things are born naturally and are not restricted by any external objects.
The ecological ethics of "Tao gives birth to all things". Taoism believes that all things in heaven and earth are incarnated by the "Tao", so "everything that is tangible contains the Tao nature".
All things are pressed
They exist according to the nature given to them by the Tao, and they have the right to live and develop naturally, and human beings have no right to destroy them. Human beings' attitude towards all things should be as Ge Hong's "Inner Chapter of Hug Puzi" as "let things be natural", that is, follow objective laws and live in harmony with all external objects, so as to achieve harmony between man and nature as a whole.
The ecological ethics of "the way leads to everything". Taoism believes that man and nature are a unified whole, and should respect each other and live in harmony, and nature is a necessary condition for the survival and development of human society. Taoism also believes that the Tao incarnates all things, but man is the incarnation of the "neutral" qi of the Tao, and is the most spiritual and intelligent creature among all things.
Therefore, man occupies the position of "the teacher of all things" and is the "chief of all things". That is to say, man has the responsibility to manage and care for all things, and man's behavior should conform to the "way of heaven", and man should "help the heavenly creatures" and "help the earth to nourish the form", so as to make nature more perfect and make himself more harmonious with nature.
The ecological ethics of "Tao Gui and Neutralization". Taoism starts from the whole of "Taoism and Nature" and attaches great importance to the dependence of human beings on the environment. Taoism believes that maintaining the harmony and tranquility of the entire natural world is an important prerequisite for the survival and development of human beings. To maintain the harmony and unity between man and nature, it is necessary to ensure the peace of heaven and earth. "Harmony of Taoism" means that human society and nature should maintain a harmonious balance.
The Taiping Sutra emphasizes that if human beings want to be at peace for a long time, they must bring harmony and tranquility to the earth on which they live. To this end, human beings must understand the laws of nature and act in accordance with the laws of nature, so as to truly achieve the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
The Taoist scriptures say: "Heaven and earth are in harmony, and all things sprout", "Heaven and earth are not in harmony, and yin and yang are out of balance", which embodies the ecological wisdom of Taoism that heaven and man are one. Taoism believes that man and nature are mutually induced and mutually influential.
The ecological wisdom of "harmonious coexistence" between man and nature. The Taiping Sutra believes that the sun, the yin, and the neutral three qi are in harmony and incarnate all things, so in nature, the sun, the taiyin, and the neutral three qi are indispensable. Only when the two qi of yin and yang are in harmony with each other to produce the qi of "neutralization" and jointly give birth to all things, can there be peace in the natural world.
The Taiping Sutra further points out that man is a part of all things in nature, and is also born of the "neutral" qi of nature, that is, heaven, earth, and man are all part of the natural world, and they themselves have a symbiotic and co-prosperous relationship, so they must respect each other and live in harmony.
The ecological wisdom of "harmonious coexistence" between man and nature. Taoism believes that man and nature coexist in symbiosis, and the quality of the natural environment is directly related to the survival and development of human society. The so-called "disharmony between heaven and earth, the error of yin and yang, and the disaster of all peoples" means that the imbalance of natural ecology will directly affect the survival of the human world.
This ecological wisdom of harmonious coexistence between man and nature runs through almost all aspects of Taoist thought, such as in terms of self-cultivation, Taoism emphasizes its own harmony, and pursues the truth with the Tao and longevity. Another example, the Taoists of all generations can consciously afforestation, beautify the surrounding environment of Taoist buildings, and the pine and cypress and green trees inside and outside the Taoist temple are exactly Taoism
The embodiment of caring for nature and protecting the environment.
The ecological wisdom of "harmonious coexistence" between man and nature is also an interdependent community, so man, as the spirit of all things, has the responsibility and obligation to coordinate and care for the relationship between man and the universe, heaven and earth, and all things in nature.
Starting from the idea of "the way of neutrality", Taoism further expounds the ecological ethics of "harmony and symbiosis" between man and nature.
What is the "Tao"? It is the "self" that countless people find difficult to approach in their lifetimes. Everyone is a small universe, and the nature of the universe is not less than a little bit in you. The so-called 84,000 Dharmas, the so-called diligent practice, are just aimed at your brain.
Because there are so many obstacles in your mind, like river sand, that prevent you from knowing the Tao. When your mind is changed, the Word will naturally appear, because the Word is in all things. Careful analysis of thousands of methods is all asking you to let go and let go, quiet and quiet. The so-called effort and practice are all designed for letting go and being quiet.
The distance before entering the Tao requires hard work. Once you enter the Tao, you realize that the Tao does not need to be cultivated, it is everywhere. The Tao is like a void, formless, silent, inactive, inactive, and immovable. You can't see it, you can't find it.
It is in the midst of everything, and everything is its natural outpouring. It is quiet and inactive, as if it were not moving. But it can also show its infinite use through all things. Everything is everywhere, and so is the true self. Mountains, rivers and land, moving, diving, flying and planting are all true selves. It's not visible, but it's everywhere.
Your body is not the true self, and your mind is not the true self. Many practitioners believe that the soul is the true self. Actually, the soul is not yet the true self. The soul is still for the outer shell of the body, the soul of the body.
The physical body and the spirit body are both material, but one yang and one yin, and yin and yang coexist. The soul coming out of the shell and the enlightenment and liberation are two completely different things. The soul that ordinary people talk about coming out of the shell is your subconscious, which is just a god of consciousness, going out to play, and it can't go beyond the Three Realms at all.
Only after enlightenment and finding your true self can you transcend the Three Realms and attain complete liberation. The Tao is everywhere, and of course there is no such thing as the Three Realms. How can the Tao be born without self and without self, and how can there be extinction without birth? Therefore, the Tao itself is not born and is imperishable, and it is itself the most complete liberation.
Therefore, it is only when you enter the path that you can attain complete liberation, immortality. However, no matter how rich the language you use to describe the Tao as it is, it will not be accurate and appropriate.
"Tao Te Ching" says: Tao is Tao, very Tao. The name is famous, and the name is not very famous. If we want to approach it, we can only change ourselves through the practice of the characteristics that it manifests. Only by attaining the same frequency as the Tao can we enter the Tao.
The most obvious characteristics of the Tao are that there is no action, equality and no distinction, no self and no other, and immobility. Enlightenment is like tasting tea, after someone tastes tea (enlightenment), no matter how you describe it, you still don't know what it tastes like. Only in person. When you have tasted it, the third party will follow
I don't know the taste of tea.
At this time, you realize that the Tao is ready-made, but you have been playing mind games all the time, always looking outward and looking for knowledge. The pitiful bit of knowledge that I know has been blocked from the door, and this is the obstacle of knowledge.
Gu Dade said: It is not difficult to achieve enlightenment, but it is only a choice. "Picking" is to separate and choose, with a discriminating mind, will pick up, the Tao is equal and undifferentiated. If there are two or three in the heart, then we will pick up, and when we return to "one", there will be no more, what distinction and choice, because "one" is already close to the Tao.
The Tao is like a mirror, no matter what it is, when it is reflected in the mirror, it is what it is, and the mirror does not distinguish between good and bad, ugly and beautiful, good and evil. Not only do people have differences, but they also have to distinguish between good and bad, right and wrong, in everything they do.
If you can go back to the light and be aware of yourself, every thought that has just been initiated, then you can be aware of yourself, and your thoughts are all separate. This is the greatest habit that has been cultivated for many births and many calamities. Therefore, in order to approach the Tao, one must first break off the habit of separation, because there is no distinction in the Tao.
Gu Dade said: It is not difficult to become enlightened, but it is to let go. However, there are many things that people can't let go. I can't let go of family affection, I can't let go of money, fame and fortune, and I can't let go of everything I am obsessed with. And everything revolves around a "me". Therefore, the biggest thing that can't be let go is "self-grasping". Everything is what I want, and I don't want to lose it, the benefits that I can enjoy. Moreover, people who have a heavier ego love to show themselves the most, and always think that they are better than others. Therefore, the biggest obstacle to enlightenment is self-grasping.
As long as you still have me in your heart, you can't reach the state of selflessness and selflessness, and everything that surrounds me can't be let go.
There is no ego in nature, everything is a constant being. With me you can't be equal, with me you can't be pure, with me you're clinging to individuality, with me you've lost your wholeness, then you'll never be able to enter the Tao.
The second most difficult thing to let go of is "I'll see". I see that I am clinging to my own opinions, thinking that my own opinions are right, and other people's opinions are wrong, and I always don't want to conform to sentient beings, or I still highlight my own personality everywhere.
When other people's opinions are different from their own, they become angry and troubled, and have conflicts and disputes with others. But they don't know that the more persistent these people are, the farther away they are from the Tao, and this is personality. The stronger the individuality, the farther away from the whole, the universe is a whole, so the more persistent I am, the farther away from the path.
The Tao is quiet and inactive, as if it does not move. Although everything is its manifestation, it has no thoughts. All these manifestations are the gathering and dispersion of nature. It was not the intentional arrangement of the Word, nor was it the creation of the Word and God.
Some people or some religions believe that everything in the universe is arranged by the Tao or God. In fact, you are wrong, the Tao and God are quiet and inactive, and they will never live so tired. However, people's habits are always like to ponder things, ponder people, the brain can not have a little idle, idle for a while, feel bored and lonely, always want to express themselves, show their own personality, express their own opinions,
Always try to come up with something to fill the boredom and emptiness.
This has made people develop the habit of climbing and moving thoughts for many lifetimes. This habit makes your heart never be quiet, your heart always runs outward, and your heart is fascinated.
The ancients made words very consistently, "heart" is a three-point soul, plus a hook. The ancients knew that people have three souls, one of which is the "light soul", the light soul is not in the sky, because it is particularly bright, the human body is difficult to bear, and when a person is reincarnated, it can only stay outside.
Another point on the outside is the "yin soul", because the delusions of sentient beings are scattered, the spirit is always outside, and it is constantly running around for wealth, fame and fortune all his life, so the yin soul is also outside the body. The middle point is called "color soul", because after this soul is reincarnated, it is trapped by the body, and a hook represents the color of the body.
People are just conceived and have this curved body shape until they are born. This body is like a hook that hooks the soul of the color, and it does not leave the body until it dies.
After Liu Kanshan finished saying this, he asked, "You are still young, why don't you leave early? ”
Xie Baoshu shook his head: "It's all here, I won't leave." ”
Liu Guanshan smiled: "It's dangerous here. ”
Xie Baoshu also smiled: "I already have the power to protect myself." ”
Liu Guanshan asked, "Have you already met Xu Qingsi?"
Xie Baoshu nodded.
Liu Guanshan sighed and didn't say anything.
