Hunting (Extra)
Growing up deep in the jungle, Nedriy is a master hunter who can transform into a ferocious cougar. She is neither a true human nor a true beast, but she fiercely defends her territory from anyone with carefully placed traps and nimble javelins. She will first strike at the prey's mobility, and then come forward to cull in the form of a large cat. Only a handful of people have ever escaped and survived to tell the story of a wild huntress with her razor-sharp hunter instincts, and even sharper claws.
Far away from the desert, beyond the savannah and the hills, lies the eastern rainforest of Shurima. This mystical place is lush and vibrant, and is home to many amazing wildlife. But even if the scenery is incredible, there are unimaginable dangers and deaths lurking.
No one knows why Nedri was left alone in the depths of the rainforest. She was a swaddling baby, sitting alone on a muddy floor covered with fallen leaves, covered in rags, and her cries echoed through the woods.
Undoubtedly, it was this cry that called the cougar.
A lioness wandering with her cubs approached the abandoned baby girl, probably smelling something familiar...... Or at least something that shouldn't be left behind. Without hesitation, she accepted Nedri, half-luring and half-dragging her back to her lair.
The girl blends into the life of the beast and forages for food with her new siblings. She has never been in contact with her own kind, and is completely detached from mortal society. The Puma family raised Nedri as a member of the forest, and as she grew older, she became a powerful huntress - though her caretaker loved to use her teeth and claws, Nedri learned to make use of her surroundings. She crafted healing ointments from honey candy, searched for bizarre glow-in-the-dark flowers to light up the night, and even blasted the entrenched Shadow Wolves away with burst seeds.
Even so, there are times when Nedri loses control of her body. Without warning, her hands and feet would shift between human and beast forms. Occasionally, she had a high fever and stumbled out of the lair following two vague strange figures—whispering in her ear, muffled but gentle. They brought comfort and warmth to Nedri, even though the cougar had taught her to beware of outsiders.
Beware is not without reason.
It was during a summer rainstorm that she first encountered the flesh-toothed beast. These Vastaya hunters go on safaris in the forests every season, looking for targets that will bring glory and show their strength with loot. Nedri's adoptive mother tried to drive them away, but was wounded by a sword and spear and fell to the ground.
Just as the flesh-toothed beast was about to finish off the aged cougar, Nedri burst out of the bushes. Something has changed. She felt the spirit of the forest cat in her body transform into something she had never seen before. She struck like a wild beast, razor-sharp claws striking down the nearest hunter, then turned like a whirlwind and turned into a human form again, grabbing the enemy's spear. The other flesh-toothed beast roared and howled, and to Nedri's surprise, she found that she could understand some of their languages.
They cursed her, shouted the names of their Vastaya Shari ancestors, and fled empty-handed.
Nedri tossed the spear aside and gently hugged the dying cougar. Her siblings were still jealous of her. But with the death of their mother, they accepted the shapeshifter as their new leader—and from that day on, she vowed to protect the home that had adopted her against anyone who tried to violate it.
Over time, she has learned to control her powers better and move between the two forms with ease. Perhaps out of a desire to follow her kind, she finds the chameleon-like wanderer Niko, and the two spend an intimate time together. Nedri happily instructs her curious new companion, and together they happily explore the many wonders of the rainforest, but in the end Niko decides to leave and find her destiny on the other side of the shores of Shurima.
Even now, this dense forest is the last untamed land in the known world, and a mystery to all that even Nedri cannot uncover. But in the few quiet moments, the huntress finds herself still thinking about her origins — and her encounter with the flesh-toothed beast — and wondering if she'll ever learn the truth one day.
Rengarh of Vastaya is a ferocious hunter. His life is all about the thrill of hunting dangerous creatures. He searched the whole world in search of the most terrible beasts, especially any trace of Kazik. The beast from the void had blinded one of his eyes. Rengar pursues prey, not for prey or glory, but for the intense pleasure of pure hunting.
Reyngar was born into a tribe of flesh-toothed beasts in Vastaya, located in Shurima. This tribe is a tribal that celebrates hunting and is proud of its high level of hunting. Rengar was the youngest son of the tribal chieftain Pongaf. He was born skinny by nature, so Poengaf didn't think he could possibly be a worthy hunter. He abandoned Rengar and left him to fend for himself.
In the end, the young Rengar escaped from the Horde's camp. His father's abandonment was both disappointing and humiliating. He survived on bugs and plants for weeks, until one day he was nearly killed by a legendary hunter named Malcon. Seeing the pitiful appearance of Rengar, Malcon sympathized with his plight and spared him a way out. On the other hand, Malcon did not believe that any Vastaya was worthy of his prey.
For months, Rengar followed Malcon, feeding on the carcasses of the prey he had killed. Rengar still had in his mind that he would one day return to the Horde. So, he's also keeping an eye out for how Malcon hunts.
After a while, Malcon grew tired of the poor flesh-toothed beast following him. He pulled out a knife and put it around Rengar's neck, telling him that the only way to become a hunter was to hunt. He threw a sword at Rengar and kicked him down the ravine, forcing him to complete his first kill in order to protect himself.
Since then, Rengar has been hunting for years, pushing himself to the limit. He traveled all over Shurima and carried out all kinds of difficult and dangerous hunts. Although he was not as large as the other flesh-toothed orcs, he was twice as ferocious as his kind. Time flies, and what he brings back to the camp is no longer bloody scars, but all kinds of trophies. He polished the skull of a sand vulture and braided the teeth of the screaming beast in his braids.
After that, he felt it was time to go home. He returns to his tribe and is ready to be accepted by his people as a true hunter.
