Chapter 352: Imprisonment (Aurelian Part 2)
I felt a boiling in Panson's heart, and she had to exert all her strength to grasp the invisible chains that bound me. She realized now that I was no longer the creature I had been driven by. The will of the giant god has long been distracted, and he has not realized that the evil fetters I am carrying have been quietly weakened.
Panson roared again, and this time I couldn't resist. That cruel sorcery reigns back above my will. I turned my attention to the source of the trouble. The hollows of the valley, once green, now wriggled with a purple-red miasma. These void creatures that turned away from life tore through the heavenly dome of reality, enveloping the invisible tides of energy and breaking through the barriers separating space. They create an abominable passageway.
These carapace-clad creatures with many eyes noticed me. What a pathetic ambition for them to swallow me in one gulp. In the back of my mind, a glowing furnace emerged, the core of the star that had been ignited before I was imprisoned. I threw a spear made of pure Yuan Spark, turning wave after wave of tooth-cracking beasts into ashes, sending them back to the eternal silence of evil energy. Fishy hot stumps rained down. I'm a little surprised, these creatures are not completely annihilated, but again, the void creatures don't understand the way this universe works.
A misshapen rift appeared in mid-air. At the heart of this corruption lies a hunger and thirst for thought, but refuses to give in. This is a far cry from what I understand as a brainless void creature. This scar on the surface of reality, flexing and stretching, twists and turns all it touches. Something behind the rift, though unknown, is laughing wildly.
Panson shouted another order at me, but I ignored her. This strange spatial chasm completely attracted me. It's not the first time I've faced them, but this time I feel very different. I couldn't help but be amazed by the terrifying spectacle that shattered the boundaries of time and space. Few creatures can comprehend the intricacies and subtleties of different realms, let alone master this terrifying divine power that can break through the limits of the existence of all things. In my mind, I knew that such a delicate wound could not have come from these contemptible creatures who were busy fleeing. No way. There are obviously many unknown secrets behind this invasion. I shuddered, and couldn't imagine what kind of entity could have the power to cause such a churning rift. Without Panson barking at her commands again, I knew how I had to act. Her requests were always unimaginative permutations anyway. She must have thought of me throwing a star at the Rift, as if that would burn this corrupt Chrono Rift.
Am I going to give in to these sluggish demigods?
All right. At least in their "logic", they have to admit that the scorching starlight is the key to solving the problem. Let's let the pretending of obedience play out for a while.
I enjoyed what was going on, partly because they would never forget it, but also because I had finally unleashed a little bit of my ancient abilities. But more importantly, whatever the Void Spirit body behind this rift, he must understand that no one can laugh at me on the plane I stand on.
The primordial essence of the atmosphere began to coalesce in my mind. The vigorous stardust fused at my silent command. The glory of my burning majesty in the deep sky has turned into a star that is not comparable. After all, in this fragile world, I can't just ignite a fully fledged star.
The starlight of the first cry flew out of my hand and joined two other sisters who would not leave me. They danced a whirling ballet around me, their white-hot cores devouring the dust and matter I had brought with them. We were all transformed into a storm of shimmering stars, and the night sky was reduced to a whirlpool of sparks dancing. I hooked a fiery star stream and exhaled a dense gust of hot air that overwhelmed the original halo of this world. The contours of the planet are thus forever scarred. Bright sparks swirled and scattered from the center of the valley. Gravitational pull gradually dissolves in the oscillating and restless spectrum, and billions of colors that ordinary people can't distinguish snag and splatter. My stars continue to press the material around them into their cores, getting brighter and hotter. It's a truly stunning sight, with dazzling light cascading out, and the enrichment of heat even stretches the limits of the spectrum. My back shook slightly with excitement.
The grass and trees are growing, and the rivers are steaming. The cliffs crumbled in the billowing smoke. The slaves who built the wheel of the sun, the soldiers in the mountains, the stargazers, the praying, the timid world, the prophets of the last days, the desperate people, the newborn kings, all those who have witnessed the passing of the comet, with their humble eyes, have witnessed the dawn of the supernova at its birth. Everywhere on this sad planet, my light turns the deepest night into day. What kind of theories will they use to explain such a change in the color of heaven and earth?
Even the tyrants of the Titan clan rarely see my power with their own eyes. Of course, no piece of land can withstand the scars of that valley. Once my work is over, nothing will survive.
Even Pan Sen, the incarnation of the Star Spirit, was not immune. I don't know if what I'll miss when I get there is her or her meaningless barking.
The dazzling light of the apocalypse faded, and the once mountains had collapsed into lava mixed with rubble that flowed down the valley's original depression. This is the wound I left on the world. The abomination crown suddenly burst out with a sharp pain that pierced through my body. I'm going to pay the price soon.
I threw my head up, my eyes bathed in the sad glow of a dying star. My heart tightened, and my mind curled. A burst of topless despair pierced the depths of my soul, and a dark sadness swept over me in an instant. It's like you lost your most cherished thing in an instant, and you know that the whole blame lies with you.
A long time ago, some curious creature asked me why I could remember every star I had cast. If they've ever had the privilege of feeling how to create even a single star, they'll know that the stupidity of the question is reaching the sky. As I watched my beloved creature die at the end of its life, the energy she radiated was as if a corner of my soul was missing. Heaven has sounded the death knell for her heat death. And she splashed Mars, the last time she bloomed, even more than her other siblings. My heart was broken by a thousand petals, only because of the myriad heavens, which I had gradually lost as I turned my power to the service of the giant gods.
Panson's summoning was eventually exchanged for a star. This is the end of my unrestrained wrath, and the brutal sorcery I must deal with.
In a matter of seconds, they regained my mind and assigned a new task. However, no matter how brief, I have never enjoyed such freedom in any other world. What's more, I've learned what they're flawed. A small part of me has been freed, and it won't be long before I'll be back here to scrutinize this mysterious source of energy and break free from my shackles once and for all.
I became the spirit of war, curling and twisting in my flesh scattered throughout the universe. It will not be happy if it loses its concrete spokesperson in this world. However, a destined host has been chosen, and he will become the next generation of Panson. It was a warrior of the Rakol tribe, whose tribe entrenched at the foot of the Giant Peak, drew its power like a barnacle. One day, I will meet this new Panson. Maybe he'll leave that ridiculous spear behind and come with a new weapon. I sensed Panson's astral relatives scattered in space. For the past brief moment, their attention was focused on the world, watching their avatars on the earth be annihilated by the hands of their chosen weapon. Their confusion is mixed with a growing desire. They are pouring out each other to gain control of me. How I wish I could see their faces.
As I pulled out of the world known as the Runeterra, I felt an emotion sprout that had never been seen in the titans.
It's for fear.
