Fate (Extra)
Diana always wore her Moonblade, a warrior of the Cult of the Moon, though her Cult had all but disappeared in the area around Titan Peak. Diana is the mortal embodiment of the power of the Bright Moon, wearing armor that shimmers with the cold and snowy light of a winter night. She received the fusion of the star spirit spirit at the top of the Giant God Peak, and she was no longer a mere mortal. Now she struggles, searching for God's revelation, for her own strength and meaning in this world.
Diana was born on the mountainside of the harsh environment of the Giant God Peak, when her parents were sheltering from a storm. The couple came from a faraway place and were drawn to a dream of an unseen mountain and the apocalyptic vow. Exhausted on the eastern slopes of the Giant Peak, the couple was confronted with a violent storm, and that night, under the cold and white moonlight, Diana came into the world, and her mother died.
The next day, as the storm subsided and the sun shone brightly, hunters from the nearby Sun Cult temple found her wrapped in a bearskin, lying in the arms of her father's corpse. They took her back to the temple, where the orphan was presented to the sun and given the name Diana. The black-haired girl was raised as a member of the Sun Cult, the ruling faith in the area around the Giant God Peak. Later, Diana became an official apprentice of the sect, and subtly accepted the supreme reverence for the sun. She learns many legends about the Sun and trains daily with the warriors of Lahorlac, the Templars of the Sun Order.
The elders of the Sun Cult taught her that all life comes from the sun, and that moonlight is false, does not provide nourishment, and casts shadows that only nourish dark creatures. Diana, however, felt that the moonlight had an elegant beauty that could never be matched by the blazing sun. Every night, the girl wakes up from a dream of climbing the summit and sneaks out of the apprentice's bedroom to pick the flowers that bloom only at night and admire the silver spring water in the moonlight.
As time passed, Diana found herself involuntarily resisting the instructions and teachings of the elders. She always couldn't help but want to question what she had learned, suspect that every lesson had something that had not been taught, and even felt that someone was deliberately hiding it and only teaching one-sided facts. As Diana grew older, her loneliness grew, and her vitriolic and unsociable skills alienated her childhood playmates. Every night, she would watch the rising moon cross the unreachable peak, and she felt more and more homeless and lonely. The urge to reach the summit was like an itch that she couldn't scratch, but every lesson she had received throughout her life warned her that if she did try, it would take more than her life to the Titan Peak. Only the most qualified and heroic will try to climb. With each passing day, Diana felt more lonely than ever, and at the same time more convinced that there was something important in her life that had not yet been fulfilled.
As for her unfulfilled meaning, she stumbled upon some clues when she was being punished for miscellaneous labor. She was punished for cleaning the temple's stacks for defying the sect elders. A light reflected from a worn bookcase caught Diana's attention, and upon closer inspection, she found a stack of partially burned ancient manuscripts. Diana read it in the moonlight that night, and the contents of the manuscript opened a door to the depths of her soul.
Diana learns of a nearly extinct group, the Cult of the Moon, whose belief is that the moon is one of the sources of life and balance. Diana guessed from the fragments of the manuscript that the Cult of the Bright Moon believed that the eternal alternation of day and night, the sun and the moon, was the essence of the harmony and equilibrium of the universe. The black-haired girl received a revelation from this, and when she looked up, not far beyond the temple walls, an old woman in a bear's skin made her way through the moonlight, and the path under her feet would eventually lead to the summit of the Giant God's Peak. The old woman staggered, barely standing upright against a crooked willow cane. She saw Diana and cried out to her, saying that she had to reach the summit before sunrise - an ideal that Diana knew was simply impossible.
Diana wanted to help the old woman and climb to the top, but these thoughts offended all the teachings of the Sun Cult. Kyoho only welcomes those who are qualified, and Diana never felt that she had any qualifications. The old woman asked her for help again, and this time Diana did not hesitate. She climbed over the walls, took the old woman's arm, and led her to the summit, and at the same time secretly surprised that such an old man had climbed here. They climbed together for hours, breaking through the clouds, and the moon and stars shone like diamonds in the cold sky. The old woman, though she was old, kept climbing upwards, tending to Diana to carry the stumbling and thinning cold air of the road.
The long night continued, and Diana lost her sense of time, as the stars shifted in the sky, and everything but the Giant Peak itself vanished. Diana and the old woman continued to climb upward, drawing energy from the white moonlight every time she crumbled. Eventually, Diana fell to her knees, exhausted beyond imagination, and every muscle in her body had reached her physical limit. When Diana looked up, she realized that they had reached the summit at some point, and that it was not possible for them to accomplish this feat in one night. The summit is shrouded in ethereal visions, shimmering curtains of light, swirls of colour, and a huge city, shimmering in gold and silver, looming in the air.
She searched around for her companion, but the old woman was nowhere to be found—only the bearskin cloak on Diana's shoulder proved that she existed. Looking at that light, Diana knew that there she would find the missing meaning of life, find identity, and find an unattainable home. This is what Diana has been searching for all her life in confusion but does not know it, and her body is full of new vitality and stands up again. She hesitated to take the first step toward the incredible sight, and every subsequent breath made her more determined.
The light suddenly flickered, and Diana exclaimed, watching it surging into Diana's body, some powerful and ancient strange spirit fusing with her. The sensation is very painful, but at the same time pleasant, a momentary revelation and an eternal illusion. When the light faded, a sense of loss became a pain she had never experienced before.
Diana staggered down the peak, oblivious to her surroundings, and finally found herself in a hidden cave on the mountainside, the entrance of which would not have been visible without the projection of moonlight. Diana was hungry and needed a haven to spend the night, so she hid in a cave. Inside the cave suddenly opened up, hiding a large ruin, which may have been a temple or chamber that could hold many people. Faded murals can be seen on the ruined walls, depicting gold and silver warriors back to back, battling endless demons and monsters, accompanied by fiery beams of light cast from the sky.
In the middle of the chamber stood a crescent-shaped scimitar and a strange-looking suit of armor; A chainmail shirt woven with delicate silver rings, draped with stainless steel panels. From the reflection of the armor, Diana saw that her once black hair had now turned pure white, and there was a glimmer of light in the middle of her forehead, revealing a rune. She recognized the strange symbols carved into her armor, the same as those recorded on the manuscripts she had in the stacks. At this moment, Diana understood everything. She can choose to escape this fate, or she can choose to face it bravely and accept it.
Diana stretched out her hand, and the moment her fingers touched the surface of the armor, her mind erupted with strange visions, memories of life that had never been experienced, and experiences beyond imagination. Fragments of memories of ancient historical events swept through her mind like a blizzard; The secret she didn't know was vaguely understood; A myriad of possible futures come to the face like dust blown away by a strong wind.
As the sights receded, Diana found herself wearing the entire armor on her body, and it fit as if it were tailor-made. Her mind was still imprinted with the knowledge she had just acquired, but most of it was out of reach, like seeing flowers in a fog, and she could only see the first hints. She was still Diana, but she was not just Diana, she was something more eternal. With these new realizations, Diana was emboldened, and she left the cave and headed straight for the Sun Cult temple, knowing that she had to tell the elders about her findings.
At the main entrance of the temple, she meets Leona, the leader of Rahorak and the greatest samurai of the Sun Cult. Diana was brought before the elders, who listened in horror as she told her about the Cult of the Bright Moon. When she finished speaking, the elders immediately declared her a heretic and blasphemous cult. For such a heinous crime, it is impossible to punish lightly, only death.
Diana was stunned. How can the elders deny such a blatant fact? How could they refuse to turn their backs on the revelation from the summit? Diana was furious at their deliberate concealment and ignorance. With a grumbling and angry roar, Diana's scimitar was unsheathed, her hand falling down, and the silver flames reflected the killing intent. Diana couldn't remember how many knives she had chopped, but when her rage subsided, she saw the killing she had caused. The elders were not spared, and Leona was lying on the ground, her armor smoking, as hot as if she had just been taken out of the furnace. Horrified by what she had done, Diana fled the scene of the slaughter and into the wilderness of the Giant Peak, while the Sun Cult suffered a heavy defeat in her murderous assault.
Now Diana is being hunted by the warriors of Rahorlac, and she is trying to piece together the fragments of memories in her mind into a complete Cult of the Moon. The truth of vague memories and the ignorance of ancient knowledge drove Diana forward, believing only one thing - the Cult of the Bright Moon and the Cult of the Sun did not need to be hostile to each other, and that she had a greater destiny than just a martial artist. She doesn't know what fate awaits her, but Diana will fulfill her destiny at any cost.
