Chapter 54: The Strange Diary (End)
"Roddy, why are you locking the lab!"
Ada relentlessly chased after Roddy, and the two of them quickly walked through the corridor in the back garden of the history department, and the surrounding students rushed to dodge.
"Roddy!"
Ida finally grabbed Roddy's clothes with a lunge, which made Roddy have to stop.
As for the suspension of research, Roddy thinks that he has explained it clearly, although it was originally a policy of rights and interests to keep the secret between him and Ada, but now Roddy really wants to stop research.
"Ada, I told you, it's a dangerous thing to do, and I don't want Natasha, Rick, Horn, and the friends who worked with me to be in danger because of my mistakes. ”
Roddy was sincere and determined, and after last night's eerie nightmare, he believed that some unknown being had been watching him all along, which was a warning.
"How can you be sure it's not a nightmare! You said it yourself, maybe it's because you're too involved and you're in a bad mental state, isn't it?"
Although Ada's tone seemed very impatient, Roddy could read from his eyes that the desire was just destined to disappoint Ada.
"Ada, believe me, it's right to stop researching, and sometimes we have to admit that some of what adults say is from experience, like your father. ”
"There must be a deeper reason why he prevented you from touching the extraordinary, and I have already seen the misfortune just by watching the corner, why are you so persistent?"
Ida clenched the corners of Roddy's clothes, and looked at Roddy with eyes that Roddy had never seen before, which were mixed with anger and unwillingness.
Then Ada let go of her hand, her head drooping like a dying little animal.
"I see. ”
The process of persuasion was much smoother than Roddy imagined, and Ada's back as she left seemed a little lonely, and Roddy stretched out his hand and finally didn't say anything.
............
After a period of calm, the strange nightmare no longer appeared, and Ida disappeared as well.
Roddy felt sad about it, but maybe it was the best outcome, but he didn't expect another nightmare to welcome him after the nightmare passed.
Natasha, Rick, and his fellow research partners and friends began to distance themselves from him, and some strangers he didn't know and some classmates who had never communicated with him began to accuse him of being a demon and a heretic who distorted history.
Roddy couldn't understand why it was suddenly like this, why his desk was left alone outside the classroom, why his books and notes were torn up and scribbled, why someone would deliberately point to his nose and say, "Your parents are the stupidest people in the world, and probably only an ignorant servant can teach you a damn infidel!"
............
Roddy had forgotten how many times he hadn't greeted his parents again, as soon as he got home, he hurried back to his room and locked the porter, even if he ate, he only accepted to put the dinner plate outside the door, he was afraid that his parents would become different.
Roddy took off his coat, looked at the wounds on his body, and sat down a little blankly, intending to finish today's diary.
But there may not be a way to keep a diary today, because the diary has grown an eye, which Roddy recognizes, and that very night, it was this eye that looked at him with a strange gaze.
Now it appears again, with the same look.
Roddy was surprised to find that instead of feeling frightened, he looked at the window and saw a screen dotted with white petals, and then remembered that the curtain that wanted to strangle himself had been replaced.
But soon he laughed.
The new guy was friendly, squeezed the white petals together to spell out a mouth and a hand, and then smiled and said hello.
The mouth is scarlet, and the hands are white.
Roddy smiled politely back, noticing that the ground shook slightly, and that the four legs of the chair had become real four-legged, but only half-cut.
And there are also wriggling leg hair like long hair.
"It's ugly. ”
Roddy said silently in his heart, but he didn't hate it, because it was willing to let itself sit.
"What's next... Is it a table? or an alarm clock?"
Roddy smiled naturally and looked at it, but he was slightly disappointed, only the curtains, the diary, and the chair came to life.
............
"How do you know here?"
Roddy sat on a chair and looked around curiously, they actually brought themselves to the school, to the back garden of the history department!
It's his favorite place, and from the moment he stepped into the school, he longed to sit there, smell the flowers, and talk to like-minded friends about the history and their experiences and discoveries.
But it was too late, and it was dark and quiet.
The chair carried Roddy on all fours, step by step, to the center of the garden, which was surrounded by flowers and plants.
The curtain squeezed out a second mouth, threw itself into the flowers, and began to nibble on the flowers and plants, and the clatter sound was like eating bones.
Roddy was a little fascinated by it, and he thought that the little thing was not very sightly to eat, so he stood up and walked towards the flowers.
"Whew. ”
The flowers and plants looked at Roddy together, and the wind couldn't blow them.
"Hi there. ”
Roddy reached out to say hello, but when he noticed that something was not quite right, he looked at his right hand, and it was gone.
His right hand was quickly moving his fingers into the flowers, leaving a long fingerprint.
Roddy stretched out his left hand again, intending to stop his right hand, hoping that it would come back, but what made it helpless was that his left hand was gone, and it turned out that the curtain was not eating flowers, but his left hand.
"No wonder it's a clicking sound. ”
Roddy muttered to himself that he felt someone pushing him, and when he looked back, he saw that it was a chair, which had removed two not-so-good-looking legs and leaned over with a jump.
"You want my legs?"
The chair jumped again.
"Okay, here you go, then you'll have to keep me sitting. ”
The chair had two normal legs, but it found that it couldn't balance at all, so it stood up, using Roddy's legs.
"You can't make me sit like that. ”
Roddy frowned slightly, but soon he didn't think it mattered, as he realized that his head could fly.
He saw his body lying on the stone pavement, and the flowers and plants scrambled to tear their bodies into pieces of flesh.
"You—" Roddy just wanted to stop, and then remembered that his head could already fly, and his body didn't seem to be that important.
"It's amazing!"
Roddy laughed excitedly, laughed and cried.
