Chapter 232: Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver
Eastern Europe. Republic of Sokovia.
The climate here is cold, with two or three feet of snow all year round, the rivers are frozen, and ordinary people rely on sleds to pass. Luke flew directly in a Banshee fighter.
At this time, he was wearing a black spider second-generation battle armor, standing on the edge of a snow-covered forest, looking at an old castle-like building standing in front of him. The familiar scene in front of him made Luke's mood a little flustered for a while.
This is the Hydra research base, Baron Straker's lair, a place that will only appear in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron.
It's only 2009 now, because his little crossing butterfly struggled to incite its wings, causing the entire Marvel plot to advance by 4 to 5 years.
So far, the biggest change is Team America 2, whose roster prompted Hydra to be exposed early. S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra have a decisive battle ahead of schedule.
As for the Hydra research base that the Avengers 2 people teamed up to attack at the beginning of the Avengers 2 movie, this is it.
Presumably, Avengers 2 will not happen again at that time. The soul gems have been put into his pocket.
Tony and Banner wouldn't have been able to build Ultron without Loki's Scepter as a research object. And then there is no possibility of visual hallucinations.
He has made a huge difference in this world.
However, only he knows what the world is supposed to be like. For Lu Dan and others, his little butterfly is a part of their world.
"In retrospect, it seems that Avengers 1 was also because Thanos somehow learned of my existence, at least two years earlier. Now Baron Straker has also been exposed in advance. The direction of the plot after this timeline is getting harder and harder to guess......"
Thinking of this, Luke didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
At least for now, it seems that his plan is still moving forward steadily, and the Hero Alliance will gather more new members on Apostle Island, and in ten years, maybe it won't be that long, he will be able to bring this new generation to fight against Thanos with a set.
During this time, he had to snatch Thanos' Infinity Stones as much as possible and reduce the number of gems on the Infinity Gauntlet. Under the trade-off, I believe that Thanos will be weakened a lot by then.
"That Thanos Absolute Force had a problem last time! I had to weaken him as much as I could. Otherwise, when "Avengers 3" starts, it will depend on this little person on the earth? ”
Luke thought of this and retracted his thoughts. He turned on his invisibility and walked towards the Hydra Castle in front of him.
Coming around the castle, Luke stood still, his suit emitting a thermal scan, and scanned around, finding no unusual feedback.
He remembered that when the Avengers attacked in the movie, the castle was protected by a layer of energy. It doesn't look like it's on at this point.
There is also a possibility that Hydra does not have this technology at this time.
In the movie, Baron Straker gets the Loki Scepter and studies it here for 5 years, gaining a lot of technological advancements. In reality, there is no Loki Scepter, and it is still early, and the Hydra technique should not be as high as in the movie.
Luke easily infiltrated the castle in the Spider II model.
Along the way, he saw a number of Hydra soldiers, who were well-armed and looked well-trained, apparently elite Hydra training. After all, this is the base camp of Baron Straker, which can be said to be the heart of Hydra.
Baron Straker is the number one leader of the modern-day Hydra, and was originally listed as Hitler's red man alongside Red Skull and Baron Zemo. After the defeat of the Red Skull, Baron Straker has been in charge of Hydra to this day.
Luke looked around as he walked. The building is quite old and looks older than it was during World War II. The interior of the building is full of decorations left over from the Second World War. The six-clawed octopus logo of the hydra can be seen everywhere.
Luke didn't know where he had turned, but as he went deeper and deeper into the castle, a terrible cry began to echo in the empty corridors of the castle. With the eerie lighting in the castle, it has a bit of a horror movie atmosphere.
No one who passed by him along the way noticed that he was an uninvited guest.
Most of these people are scientists in white coats or heavily armed patrol soldiers.
In this research base, at least 1,000 personnel have been found by thermal induction. Researchers probably make up the majority.
Luke looked curiously from room to room, and in one of them he saw the wreckage of a large Leviathan.
That's right, the remains of the Leviathan behemoth of the Zetarians were quietly placed here, surrounded by a group of white coats and various research equipment.
This Leviathan is apparently from the Battle of New York, and was smuggled here from S.H.I.E.L.D. by Hydra undercover after the battle.
Along the way, Luke discovers that Hydra's research projects are truly varied. The research covers many aspects: energy, weapons, machinery, biochemistry, and even mutants.
Luke made his way to another hallway, flanked by enclosed private cells containing a test subject.
Outside one of the rooms, through the clear glass of the room, Luke saw two lab coats examining a strange man with scales on his arms.
The weirdo was strapped to a chair, presumably injected with anesthetic, and had lost consciousness, allowing the Hydra researchers to draw blood and fiddle with it.
At the door of each room hangs a name tag that appears to be the name of the "tenant".
"Huh?"
Luke, walking through a certain room, suddenly stopped, and a familiar name made him retreat.
I saw that the name tag read: Wanda Maximov.
"Isn't it?" With a bit of surprise on his face, Luke immediately leaned his face to the glass and looked at the room.
On a very simple bed, there is a young girl resting with her eyes closed. The girl doesn't look very old, 14 or 5 years old. As if sensing something, the girl suddenly opened her eyes and looked up at Luke.
Luke was slightly startled, but his body did not move.
The girl's face showed a little confusion, and after glancing outside a few more times with big eyes, she closed her eyes again and lay back.
Luke thought for a moment and continued down the hallway.
When I came to the door of the next room, I saw another name written on the name tag: Pietro Maksimov.
"Wanda Maximov, Pyro Maximov, that's right. These two are Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. This discovery surprised Luke even more than the discovery of the New World.
But on second thought, this is also a reasonable thing. Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver first appeared here in the movie, and were studied by Baron Straker as test subjects.
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are twins, both mutants.
Quicksilver is the twin brother, with the ability to move at high speed, and even turn himself into a high-speed particle vibration state to penetrate objects, which can be called the flash of the Marvel Universe.
Scarlet Witch is the younger sister and her abilities are Chaos Magic and Modify Chance. The Scarlet Witch is extremely powerful and is said to have been given abilities by the god of dark arts, Sithorne, at birth.
And Luke remembers very well that these two people are still the children of Wan (Duan) Magnetic (Zheng) Wang (Chun).
