Chapter 796: The Void Strikes

This was the first time that everyone, including Rod, had faced the power of the Void - while some of the Frostguard had participated in Aatrox's brutal trial, to be honest, it was just a ripple of the Void's power that Aatrox had deliberately stirred up.

Now, without Lisandro's control, the void creatures in the Howling Abyss awakened one after another, activated one after another, and after they got rid of the control of the dark ice, they quickly created a large number of companion insects, and then gathered into an orderly Void Air Regiment, rushing out of the Wailing Abyss.

The first to emerge were the overwhelming predators.

These exoskeleton carapaces, thin wings on their backs, and sharp blades on their legs are the most basic Void companions, they are the base units of the Void Swarm, and they are one of the most inconspicuous beings - but they are also one of the most devouring and evolving Void companions.

These little creatures are not even able to defeat an adult with a weapon one-on-one when they are born, but if they are lucky enough to get some prey, they can devour it to gain their own evolution.

After devouring the enemy, these predators will gain some of the enemy's body structure and battle memories, and this knowledge will be directly fed back to their own body structure.

In this way, in the process of continuous evolution, the predator will become stronger and stronger, and the status of the insect colony will also become higher and higher......

Fortunately, in this batch of Void Air Regiments, the predators are all newly born larvae and have not been devoured at all, so in front of the Avarosa coalition and the Frost Guards, these little guys are no more lethal than Err.

These nascent predators weren't even as good as the larvae of the Void mother worm in Aatrox's last trial—at least the mother worm was born from the corpse of an unlucky egg.

The real trouble is in the back.

Several large clumps of flesh floated above the Wailing Abyss after the predators.

Rhodes saw that there were more than ten meat balls - and each of these meat balls was counted as one, and they were all bigger and more dangerous than the previous ones that Rhodes and Ash had combined to explode.

However, these are not the trickiest things.

At the first time when the Void Air Regiment appeared, Rhodes also noticed the abnormal fluctuations in the space - after realizing this, Rhodes immediately probed the space situation, and the results of the probing made Rod completely unable to hang up.

Because of the unknown, the stability of the space near the Wailing Abyss has become extremely poor, and even in some areas, the space has a tendency to "flow".

It's a joke!

Rhodes III had never seen such a situation outside of the laboratory - he had witnessed the collapse of space after the arrival of Sargeras, but he had never seen it animated and softened to such an extent!

With this activation, Rod was almost certain of what was going to come......

Sure enough, when the spatial activity was increased to a certain level, the spatial nodes that could flow appeared sticky, and after the space was folded, a visible void wormhole appeared on the battlefield.

These wormholes quickly opened up after being formed, and with a burst of spatial flow, a large number of Axy worms emerged from the wormholes and appeared on the battlefield.

These Axids have crystalline scales that shimmer with a lilac glow, and unlike predators, they don't fly - they have thick forelimbs that are better at digging, and this digging can be used not only in land and deserts, but also in space.

Dense Axes poured out of the spatial wormhole, opening and closing their pincer-like mouthparts in a neat click.

The sound of chitin's mouthparts colliding is like the sound of a walnut, but when thousands of clicks are heard at the same time...... Many soldiers on the battlefield shivered in unison.

The only fortunate thing was that Rhodes took a closer look at the Axai worms, and it turned out that the queen was not found in them.

Thankfully, that's one of the few pieces of good news - without the Queen-level Exerce, the space here will be damaged, but at least it won't become irreparable......

Predators, Surveillance Bugs, Exexworms.

For the Void Air Regiment, they are pawns, junior mages, and battlefield supporters.

And the real highlight is below.

As several tentacles with chitin-hooked ends climbed the icy stone bridge, one by one the giant Void Motherworms arrived on the battlefield.

Unlike the female worm summoned by Aatrox before, this female worm was much larger, and her body was so swollen that it seemed like something was about to erupt.

When the mother worm crawled out of the wailing abyss and came to the stone bridge, a large number of small insects with heavy carapaces crawled out of the mother's body, and then formed a thick barrier on the surface of the mother's body.

Behind the barrier, the body of the Void Mother began to shatter, and a new Void Worm appeared behind the Beetle's defense.

These Void Worms appear to be small, soft, and muscular, with no sharp legs, no wings, and no terrible eyes, but in their huge mouths that can't be closed, the overlapping teeth and corrosive saliva are impressive enough.

Obviously, these bugs are defenseless and not mobile - but on the contrary, their aggression is simply terrifying!

(Well, the more famous one of their kinders is called "Kagemo.") )

And after all the other Void Worms had appeared, the final watcher was finally overdue.

The twisted tentacles rested on the stone bridge, and a massive body used it as a fulcrum to finally leave the Wailing Abyss.

Void Watcher...... Here it comes.

At first glance, the Monitor may seem like an enlarged version of the Surveillance Bug, but a closer look reveals that the Monitor has only one eye, and unlike the Surveillance Bug, it has elements that seem to be similar to emotions flickering in its eyes.

Unlike other Void Worms who only have combat instincts, this guy has his own intelligence!

There is no doubt that the Watcher is the leader of this small Void Air Regiment - 10,000 years ago, during the Great War of the Wailing Abyss, he and his legion were tricked by Lisandro into coming to Valoran's back and imprisoned and sealed in the Wailing Abyss.

And now, Lisandro has been turned into an ice sculpture by the power of her own dark ice, and the Overseer and his minions have finally broken through the seal.

"Shhh

With an order from the watcher, the Void Air Regiment finally went into action.
