Chapter 503: Treasure (Extra)

After hours of walking through the sweltering and humid rainforest, the cool air of this catacombs is a sweet blessing. Of course, every corner can lurk the threat of death, but it can also lurk the doomed glory.

I walked through a stone archway, and the dust floated like a ghost, outlining a corridor with rounded patterns carved into the stone walls. It is rumored that this ancient tomb is an airtight, invulnerable, and certain path of no return. No explorer has ever made it out alive, but then again, it's not me.

I've now groped my way through the underground labyrinthine tunnels for miles, spotted and avoided several spiked traps, crawled past the giant pendulum of swords, and subdued the hostile vipers of the Abyss. It's a sightseeing destination, but I don't want to stay here for long.

There were many indifferent eyes on the stone wall that were aimed at me with malicious intent. Well, it would have been the same if it had been me. I guess the last time they saw such a shocking beautiful man was the last time they were in the Rune War.

In the middle of the burial chamber, a crystal vase lies quietly on the pedestal, a shimmering liquid rippling in the bottle, reflecting a small rainbow on the ceiling. That's what I'm here for. Stories of great and magnificent adventures will be dismissed by many as dreams, but a treasure is undeniably true. If you can bring back the treasures of the legends, you will be able to prove that you have conquered the peerless challenge in the Mausoleum Dungeon.

The potion of Ulroa is a treasure that many people dream of, and there are many crooked cults who believe that it can grant them immortal powers, some descendants of a fallen dynasty who believe that it is the key to regaining power, and even devout pilgrims who hope that it will bring wisdom and enlightenment beyond imagination. Don't look at this small bottle of potion as little as a teaspoon, but the anticipation it was placed on was really a truckload.

I knew that by design, as soon as I took the bottle off the pedestal, it would trigger the trap. The intrinsic function of this building facility has always been like this. I moved my fingers, and the gems on my gloves shimmered with a reassuring blue glow. Now it's time for the real show.

I slowly walked forward, the stone slab trembling beneath my feet, and I immediately retreated to avoid triggering the trap. I cautiously tested my room, choosing only the most stable stone slabs as a foothold. Just as my fingers finally grasped the potion, the ground began to crumble, and I immediately activated the power of the glove, infusing it with magical energy. There was a dazzling flash of light in front of me, and I teleported to the arch fifteen feet away. It's too late for a second. Hundreds of sharp spikes shot down from the roof of the shed, just a hair's cut away, and the whole room plunged into the pitch-black abyss below.

My glove's ability is perfect in tight spaces, but it can't travel too far. And it takes a little longer to recharge than I'd like.

A thunderous pop shook the walls and echoed through the hallways. It seems that the foundations of this ancient tomb are almost untenable, so now we need to hurry. I prefer to keep my feet on the ground so that I can stand firm. So I started to run along the passage, the cracks in the ground behind me getting wider and wider.

I drew chalk marks along the way as I entered, and I followed them as I tossed and turned, crawling through crumbling arches, over quicksands tumbling over rivers and seas, dodging tumbling boulders, and swiftly navigating through the narrower and narrower aisles.

The wall to my right suddenly cracked, and a swarm of giant insects emerged, huge claws crackling and ugly mouthparts venom flowing. Thousands of spiders' eyes glowed with a hungry red, and scorpions approached with the stingers on their tails. The bugs in the jungle are really annoying, but luckily I have a special insect repellent!

I blinked for a split second. Energy flowed down my arm, pulsating at my nerves, and I poured energy into the gem on my glove. Then I held my gloves flat and aimed for the biggest spider. As the creature opened its jaws, I let out a white-hot light into its massive mouth, knocking it back into the swarm. The burnt chitin had a pungent smell and poured down my throat, stirring my stomach and intestines.

I turned and ran, firing a dazzling pillar of light behind me at every corner. Directly in front of me, a two-story boulder was falling from the roof of the shed. My glove was just fully charged, and I crossed ten feet forward in a swirl of glare, and the passage behind me began to crumble.

Two stone pillars were falling in the middle, and I slapped a shovel just past them, and then they shattered. I burst into another room, angled toward the surface.

There was a ray of sunshine in front of me, and I smiled and continued to sprint forward. Freedom is just around the corner. A deafening thud shook the ground, and I stumbled as I ran, and the room in front of me collapsed. Freedom is just around the corner.

Once again, backup planning is my specialty.

I adjusted my gloves and poured all the energy into the gem. I could feel it actively drawing my energy. My vision began to blur, the world seemed to begin to distort, and the gems were already filled with magical energy. The glove emitted a sky-blue flash of light.

I opened my hand, and a golden arc of light shot out of my palm. The arc was flush with the width of the room, and the huge recoil force forced me to stop, but I continued to concentrate on maintaining the magic. The arc continued to illuminate the surroundings, destroying all obstacles in its path, leaving a narrow gap in the boulder. Exactly my favorite!

I tightened my fists, and the passage darkened again. The ground was shaking with rage, and I staggered to my knees. I had just exhausted all my strength, I could barely move a minute, I couldn't stand at all. A few inches away in front of my eyes, the crack in the ground was rapidly stretching, and my eyes could no longer trace the location of the crack's leading edge. The situation is not good. The tomb was already in danger, so I squeezed all the strength I had left to my feet and ran blindly forward, hoping that there was safety at the end of my life.

I can't see that ray of sunlight anymore. Another collapse – the walls around me were collapsing. I closed my eyes and plunged forward into the cave. There's nothing wrong with praying for good luck, and I've always been unusually lucky. I hit the ground and stood up in a smooth tumble, taking a deep breath of the sweet rainforest air.

Behind me, the entrance to the tomb collapsed completely, spewing out a mouthful of ancient dust. I cleaned the dust off my clothes, skilfully tucked the hair in front of me to my ears, and walked away leisurely.

Destroy the peerless ruins, regain the treasures and magnificence, and prove the legendary adventure.

You have to prepare for lunch.
