Sunrise (Extra)
The robbers attacked before dawn; Fifty wolf-like men were dressed in iron cloaks, wrapped in the furs of strange animals, and holding rough gray axes in their hands. They moved quickly and entered the settlement at the foot of the mountain. These people are all comrades and brothers who have been bloodied together for several years, and they have all experienced a moment of life and death. The warrior in the lead was dressed in a pair of battered scale armor and carried a heavy sword on his shoulder. The face under the dragon's helmet is rough and savage, imprinted with a lifetime of battlefield battles and stronger sun exposure.
The first few settlements were easily captured; There was no challenge at all for this group of war maniacs. The loot is scarce, and every day is precarious, but in this strange land, no opportunity can be missed.
This time was no different.
Suddenly, there was a flash of light ahead, and a bright beam of sunlight shot out.
It doesn't make sense. It's at least an hour before sunrise.
The leader lifted his weathered hand, and he saw a lone figure standing in the middle of the village street. He grinned wickedly as he realized that the figure was a woman. Finally, there are some good goods that make their trip worthwhile. There was a fire around her, and he got closer, saw the ornamental armor on her body, and the evil smile on his face disappeared. Long maroon hair poured down from the golden headband, and heavy shields and long swords shone with the sun's rays.
More samurai appeared in the streets, each armed with gold armor and spears, on either side of the girl.
"I am the guardian of this land," she said.
Leona raised her longsword as the twelve Lahorraks formed a wedge around her. Six Lahorrak stood beside her, on each of them, slamming their shields to the ground. Leona turned halfway and embedded her shield at the tip of the wedge. She plunged the sword in her hand into the weapon chute beneath the shield's sharp edge.
She moved her fingers and gripped the sword's skin-wrapped gauntlet tightly, feeling the surge of energy in her body. This energy is like a bound flame, eager to be released completely. Leona pressed it inside herself, letting it slowly flow into her flesh. There was a fire in her eyes, and strength welled up in her heart. The spirits that melted into her at the top of the peak longed to burn these people with their own cleansing fire.
The person wearing the dragon helmet is the key. Killing him will deter others.
A part of Leona's heart wanted to be subservient to the power within her; I want to burn these people to bones and dregs. They have already killed dozens of the people of the Giant God Peak. They had previously defiled the sacred realm of the Sun Cult, not only wantonly kicking over the sacred Sun Stone, but even daring to pollute the mountain springs of the Great Peak with their own excrement.
The man in the dragon helmet laughed and wheeled the greatsword on his shoulder, and his men spread out in all directions. To wield such a huge weapon in battle and keep the rhythm moving, you need to leave space around you. He roared in a gruff voice that sounded more like an animal howl than a human language, and his men responded with a roar.
Leona let out a hot breath as the bandits began to charge, roaring and charging at the Lahorac team, spittle from their mouths on their braided beards. Leona let the heat flow into her blood, feeling the ancient star spirits more fully merge her spirit with her, connecting her senses and giving her otherworldly perception.
The world slowed down in Leona's eyes. She could see the pulsating hearts of each enemy, and she could hear the blood of each enemy roaring like thunder. In her eyes, the bodies of the enemies were shrouded in bloodthirsty red flames. The man with the dragon helmet leaped forward, his greatsword slamming into Leona's shield like a Boulder Titan's fist. Such a violent blow caused the shield to deform in an instant, and at the same time knocked Leona back a full yard. The warriors of Lahorak stepped back with her, and the shield wall remained intact. Leona's shield glowed with a blazing glow, and the man in the dragon helmet felt a gut-wrenching heat beneath his fur cloak. His eyes widened in surprise as he slashed his greatsword back, ready to strike again.
"Attack, backstab!" Before she could finish speaking, the rest of the robbers rushed into their line. The moment the two armies clashed, golden spears shuttled out, and the steel forged in the mountains pierced the flesh and skin, and the robbers who rushed to the first row fell one after another. The robbers behind them trampled on their corpses and continued their onslaught.
The shield wall swayed, but it stood strong. Blades collide, tendons bulge, and the roar of slashing attacks is endless. With a roar of rage, Leona stabbed her sword into the neck of one of the robbers, splitting his face in two from the forehead to the chin. He screamed and retreated, his own blood in his throat. She slammed her shield into the face of the other person next to her, crushing his skull.
The line of Lahorlac's squad suddenly twisted and bent, and it was the man in the dragon helmet who slashed his greatsword again, and the blow slashed at the samurai beside Leona, his shield shattering in half, and his body slashing from his shoulder and neck to his pelvis.
Leona didn't give the man wearing the dragon helmet a chance to make a third cut.
She stabbed her golden sword at him, the rune-engraved blade creating an afterimage of the same shape of fire in the air. The incandescent flames consumed the man wearing the dragon helmet, and his fur and body hair immediately burned, and his armor was imprinted in his flesh like a soldering iron. The terrifying pain caused him to scream, and Leona felt the cosmic power within her body revel in the man's excruciating pain. He staggered back, but for some reason he hadn't taken his breath. His men's attack began to hesitate, and by this time he had fallen to his knees, reduced to a blazing fire.
"Kill it!" Leona shouted, and the Lahorak warriors rushed forward in unison. Strong arms wield spears mercilessly. Thrusting, twisting, and pulling out, like a tireless killing machine. The robbers fled with their heads in their hands, dodging the blood-stained spears of the Rahorak warriors, frightened by the death of their leader, and now only thinking about how to escape.
Why these robbers came and how they climbed the mountain, no one knows. They were clearly not here to pay homage to the giant peak, nor did they try to climb to the top. They are warriors, not pilgrims, and if they are left alive, they will simply regroup and continue to kill.
Leona would not allow them to kill, so she plunged her sword into the earth. She enters the depths of her subconscious, evoking the grandeur of the world beyond the Peak. The sun rises from the peak of the Giant God's Peak, and Leona holds out a hand towards the scorching sun.
She got down on one knee and slammed her fist into the ground.
The fire of the sun fell from the sky
