Chapter 420: Prison (Kai Yin's Outer Chapter)

"Ah, I'm just ......," Kai Cain shrugged, mimicking his strange demeanor. You know. ”

"I know," Zago nodded, sincerely. "What a strange thing, huh? The summoning of the underworld is like the starry sky speaking. I know...... I knew I had to get it. I knew it had to be mine. With all due respect, Cardinal, you can't stop me from getting it. Hand it over or give way, take your pick. I'm done. Words of resistance...... We're going to roast you all, grab you, and activate the masking field, so that your main ship won't even have time to get within the sniffing distance. ”

"I have no doubts."

This simply does not make sense. Zago is a dangerous person, but he's not crazy. His three combat ships were indeed capable of surpassing Cain's ground combat power in terms of combat effectiveness, but the Warm Reminder and the Shattered Scissors were members of the Heavy Nuclear Fleet that any Syndicate could not avoid.

Koren Zago came in person. This isn't the kind of showmanship adventure that Cain had read about in his profile. This is another behavior. An impulse. Compulsive impulses.

This will become his weakness.

Cain took a deep breath. He needed to clear his mind. He needs to do the kind of work that made him a cardinal general.

"Well, you've made the situation tense, my good man," he said, spreading his arms and saluting in an elegant Core Planet gesture – a gesture that anyone knew meant formal obedience. Then he took another deep bow of surrender, kneeling on one knee, leaning forward with his shoulders and his hands at his sides. In his right hand, he held the ornamented spear, at a forty-five degree angle to the ground, rooted in the dust, and pointed upwards, the angle of the military salute. "This has come to this, and we must make way for you."

Kai Cain could feel the sting of the heat and smell the smoke waves. He could feel the gaze of Koren Zago, perhaps surprised by his easy victory.

Cain is a strong man. His basic biological characteristics have been trained in strict laws and are strong and dexterous, and they have been further strengthened by science. Like all cardinal generals, he is a remarkably enhanced being.

He waited until Zago spoke. He had just uttered the first syllable.

"You-"

Still on one knee, Cain threw his spear. There was no charge, just a casual throw, along the angle at which the spear was already pointed. He didn't even look up. He was still half-kneeling, groveling.

With the propulsion of his arm, the spear struck the suspended red combat ship from below, just in front of the sheltering array shuttle. The broad blade of the gun head pierced the hull and then continued upward, penetrating the cooling circuit and attitude smoothing system in the ship's belly. Then it penetrated the bottom of the cockpit, penetrated the driver's seat, penetrated Coren Zago.

When the spear finally stopped, it was like a barbecued iron bra stringing up the hovering ship, with the blunt end underneath and the pointed end pinned to Zago and piercing through the top of the ship.

He remained upright, pinned to the high back of his seat. There was a look of surprise on his stiff face.

Suddenly, everything started moving. The red combat ship began to shake violently, and its internal systems had been torn apart and destroyed. Its engine howls due to abnormal conductive pressure. It took a moment for the syndicate driver to react - it took them a second to figure out what had just happened.

And then it's already too late. Najuri has been waiting for an opportunity. The moment he saw Kai Cain throw his spear, he immediately gave the signal, and his flying soldiers fired a perfect salvo. The gun loadouts unfurled, and the light cannon fire whistled towards the gray and green battle ships. The gray ship disintegrated and shattered directly where it hovered, completely disintegrating under the continuous volley of heavy fire. The core of its engine exploded, and fireballs blasted the shattered hull in all directions.

Cain went from a half-kneeling crouch to an upward sprint. The red ship was shaking so hard that it was almost close to shaving off his head, but he leaped high and flew over the starboard wing. Although the pilot tried his best to save the ship, the ship was almost out of control spinning. The far end of the wing on the left touched the ground, stirring up a cloud of rubble. The hovering engine kicks up dust like a desert storm.

Kai ducked above the bumpy spaceship, crawling step by step to the exposed cockpit. Zago was still pinned to his seat, looking into the distance, and every shake seemed like it was going to tear him off his seat. The pilot in front of him was scrambling to control the ship, and he didn't have time to pay attention to anything else.

Najiuri's soldiers were still pouring firepower, but the green battle ship was causing more trouble. It has some sort of custom shield that absorbs the light-collapsing energy. Clusters of light disappeared in the oily haze at the bow of the ship. The ship roared forward and began to seek revenge. It opened the weapons compartment and rushed to the line of flying soldiers, provoking a dense explosion on the dust.

Before Najuri could give the order to disperse, two of his men were cremated on the spot. The ship climbs upwards and begins to hunt down the fleeing soldiers one by one. Even with the powerful ground firepower of the flying soldiers, when facing the spaceship, they can only win by surprise.

And they have lost the opportunity to surprise the attack.

Cain grabbed the pilot of the combat ship with one hand and threw him out of the cockpit. The man screamed and rolled off his wings and crashed to the ground.

Cain grabbed the outer frame of the cockpit canopy and fell into the cockpit. His interactive panel showed that the balance control device had been completely damaged - the spear had pierced many vital systems. He quickly made adjustments to counteract the overshoot while compensating for an engine vent that had stalled. Keeping the cockpit open, he stumbled forward with the red ship, grazing the ground and starting to accelerate at a very low altitude.

The green battle ship is strafing the slope. Cain saw that it was unfolding its main gun bay, preparing to level the entire mountain. He steadied the joystick, activated the red ship's fire system, charged the main capacitor, and locked onto the green combat ship in front of him.

He turned on the main light collapse array. The force of the fire deflected the already unbalanced ship even more, it staggered like a drunk, and the last few shots were completely missed, flying high in the air like tracer bullets in the night sky, over the top of the mountain.

But the front section of this group of artillery fire hit the target. The green battle ship completely lost its stern, and then lost another engine. The pilot tries to regain his balance, but the entire ship gradually shatters in the air, splitting into pieces from tail to head. It began to climb, dragging the wake of flames and wreckage. And then, suddenly, as if all its strength had just been exhausted, it fell like a stone and landed headfirst down.

The explosion sent a shock wave over the sand, leaving behind a huge crater of hot sand.

Cain barely managed to keep the battle ship hovering in the air beneath his feet. Many fault warnings sounded from the console at the same time. Little by little, he cut off the energy. The red ship landed in the dust, bounced some distance, and then began to taxi, one wing plunging into the ground.

He shut down all systems. The sand is still pounding on the front windshield and the shell. He propped himself out of the driver's seat, took one last look at Zago's lost expression, and jumped back to the ground.

He was walking away when something in the hull of the ship collided, and the flames began to spread, and by the time he got to Nakuri's side, the red battle ship had become a burning cremation pile, and the man was still stuck in the middle.

Najuri is gathering his soldiers. He looked at Cain with a mixture of surprise and admiration. "You're a mad idiot," he said flatly.

"I don't agree," Cain responded. "But I think it's time to figure out the cause of this."

Inside the cave where the prisoners were held, there was a hole in the world. A rough shaft, thirty meters in diameter, with a cavity of hundreds of meters vertically downward.
