Chapter 407: Unspeakable (Extra)

As we got closer, I knew what Sarah meant. Dozens of thin, translucent spheres reflect the light of the street lamp. Bubble? These points of light are...... Bubble? I tucked Lulu's doodle paper into the gap between my gloves.

"I think Twilight Star got your wishes wrong, Lulu," Bobby said, "those are bubbles. ”

Those aren't just bubbles. An orb floated down to top of Bobby's head, seemingly following her voice. Poppy took a few steps back, and the sphere floated in the direction it had just floated onto the carousel's railing.

The silent nervousness was broken by a contemptuous laugh, and Jinx laughed and said, "Please." Nothing—"

A series of bubbles began to approach her. I ran up from my feet, a hand reaching for my wand. "Jinx!"

I threw my wand forward. The wand dragged a rainbow-colored starlight prism through the braid on top of Jinx's head before flying back into my hand. A colorful sphere shielded Jinx and Poppy. A few bubbles bounced off the barrier and landed on the swing, leaving behind a black fog and a stumbling black shadow — like bugs, or moths? - and a long, high-pitched laugh, like a child being suddenly amused.

"It must be something bad, right?" Jinx shouted quietly. "We've blown up these little villains!"

"That's exactly what I mean." Before she could finish speaking, Sarah's twin guns fired a pair of bullets. A string of bubbles burst in response, leaving behind a waterfall of black mist, and a swarm of twisted and distorted butterflies.

"The stuff inside doesn't seem to be good." Poppy said.

"Don't get touched." Jana's eyes glowed with lavender. A breeze blew through the park, and she flew into the air. The air currents roll up the fallen leaves, sucking the bubbles together. Jana gathered the bubbles, and the darkness contained within them gathered into a thick mass. The bubbles push against each other, as if they are irritated by being tied together.

That shrill laugh suddenly stopped, and turned into a moaning moan. The sound echoed around us, tickling the roots of my teeth. In the center of the vicious bubble mass where Cana gathered, a thin disc began to take shape. The disc opened like a portal, and slender tentacles from some dark dimension snaked out like snakes. A creepy squid eye suddenly opened, followed by a second. The vague mass gradually spreads out, turning into some kind of hybrid of an evil octopus and a demonic jellyfish.

"Kill it." Sarah shouted. White and Black opened fire fiercely. Poppy turned around and rounded his hammer for a full blow. She let out a roar of rage, and the hammer arced in an arc. With a deafening thud, the hammer struck the bubble, knocking the enraged jellyfish away from the center of the storm. The monster flew some distance before coming back to its senses and gathering scattered bubbles. They all flew towards Sarah.

"Sarah, get down." I shouted. I felt the pure starlight pass through my wand, with heavy force, shaking the marrow of my arm. The monster scurried left and right, hiding behind the cover of the bubbles. I emitted a white-hot pillar of light. The little jellyfish swam between the bubbles, and I didn't hit. I tried to get closer, but it felt like time had stood still.

"Xiaolu, come back!" Jinx shouted.

It's too late. The little Lulu popped out of nowhere and pushed Sarah away. Sarah fell to the ground, but immediately rolled over and faced the sky, raising her guns and firing all the fire.

A bubble breaks away from the community in the air. It swayed downward, getting closer and closer. It pressed against Lulu's cheek with a crisp cracking sound. The darkness poured out and stretched, and in the space between heartbeats, Lulu was enveloped in a dark mist. She closed her eyes and fell to the ground. I lunged over to Lulu and picked her up in both hands. One bubble after another burst above my head, and Sarah and Jinx were breaking the last batch. A portal opened above the dark jellyfish. The malicious laughter grew louder and louder, and the jellyfish floated towards the portal, as if rising in the buoyancy of the sound. It crossed the boundaries of the portal and vanished, taking the rest of its dark magic with it.

I leaned my ear closer to Lulu's face. She was still panting, soothing and even...... Is she asleep?

"Lulu!" I shook her shoulder. Lulu let out a weak sigh, her eyes halfway open briefly. I picked up my wand and let out a blinding glow. Lulu's closed eyes dodged. "Lulu, in the name of Starlight, wake up!"

"It's gone. It's all gone. Lulu's voice was very subtle. Her eyes closed tighter in the light, and her lips trembled. It seems that she is in a nightmare. "It's dark." She said.

Lulu suddenly sat up stiffly, her blue eyes widening. She looked into the distance as if none of us existed, as if she had seen somewhere else behind us. It was as if she was somewhere else.

"She's off." Lulu said.

"She? Who is she, Lulu? Who's leaving? "It's incredible. A hot thought took over my mind. Is it her? Did Ahri go? I bit my lip. I looked around at Jana, Bobby, Jinx, and finally Sarah.

"Ahri!" I said, "Ahri must know." ”

"Nope." Salad said.

"She's sure she knows." I didn't care about her silent answer, I wanted to keep an optimistic smile for the others. "Can you tell her, Sarah?"

"Nope." Sarah didn't want to look at me.

"What, why?"

"We're not talking anymore." She said lightly.

"Sarah, I think it's better than-"

"—Slumber party." Sarah looked me straight in the eye and interrupted me. "That night. She was going to be there too. But at the last minute, she said there was something else to deal with. She didn't want me to help. I thought it was just ......"

"Ahri's character." I helped her finish her sentence, and she nodded. "You haven't seen her since?"

Sarah nodded, secretly tightening her grip on the pistol. Just before Sarah looked away, I saw it—a panicked look. I felt my heart beat harder.

Hundreds of new questions came to my mind. My stomach is in knots.

What could make Sarah panic like this? Where did Ahri go? What's going to happen?

Is our strength enough to face it?

Am I enough to face it?

I wanted to ask her, but I couldn't.
