Chapter 33: Reporting
The kitchen is very spacious overall, a bit too large for a bar, with all kinds of utensils, and a small freezer that looks like it's still in use.
The waiter led Roddy in without explanation, but went straight to a square stone brick wall facing east of the kitchen, and he pressed down on one of the stone bricks, and the whole wall split in two and slowly opened.
Roddy looked very carefully, or maybe the waiter himself didn't hide the intention of tucking it, and the stone bricks that were triggered were in the fourth row on the lower count, and the twenty-third row on the left and right.
As the elevator appeared, the waiter looked sideways at Roddy, and from his eyes, Roddy understood what he was going to do next.
As he passed by the waiter, Roddy looked at him and opened his mouth slightly, but finally didn't say anything, because this guy looked like he was not approaching, and he just had to put a note on his face - don't talk to me.
The whole process of descending the elevator was not short, and it was accompanied by a subtle click, and the most speechless thing for Roddy was that there was no lighting in the elevator.
Four minutes.
Roddy silently thought in his mind that it would take a total of four minutes from the start to the stop of the elevator, so he roughly judged that the office area of the official extraordinary was at least three floors underground.
The elevator is not an all-encompassing design, but is made up of iron fences, so it doesn't have to wait for Monrodi to open the elevator to see the entire underground office area.
But before he could finish observing the surrounding environment, a smaller man had already stepped forward and enthusiastically pushed open the fence of the elevator for him.
"It's you!"
The visitor looked very enthusiastic and looked at Roddy with a slight surprise.
Roddy looked at him with some confusion, and listened to his tone as if he knew himself.
"Hey, have you forgotten! I'm Ash, and I've been to your house with the captain. ”
Roddy frowned and tried to rummage through the memory fragments for a moment before he remembered.
"Hello, my name is Roddy, sorry I didn't think about it for a while. ”
Ash smiled and waved his hand to show he didn't mind.
"The captain said before that he planned to recruit a new member, but I didn't expect it to be you, fate is really amazing, we may be able to become very good friends. ”
"That's right!"
Ash's overzealous enthusiasm made Roddy a little uncomfortable.
"Actually, I'm also a newcomer, I joined the organization less than a week earlier than you, and I was worried about whether I could have a good relationship with the new members, but I was relieved to see you!"
Roddy kept a polite smile and muttered to himself how relieved he was to see that it was me.
"Roddy, you're so tall!"
"I think you're only eighteen, you're younger than me! I'm twenty-one. ”
"The body looks very strong, so if you exercise regularly, it's no wonder that you will be photographed by the captain. ”
"Hey.." Ash sighed slightly and continued: "I don't know what the captain likes about me, I'm small and reckless..."
Roddy felt the corners of his mouth twitch soon, and maintaining a polite smile was a very tiring thing for his facial muscles.
You told me to leave the elevator first!
"Little Ash, are you going to let our new companions stay in the elevator like this?"
It was the old man sitting on the sofa sipping coffee who spoke, and Roddy immediately cast a grateful look.
"Ahh
"I'm so excited, please don't mind. ”
Roddy shook his head kindly, and had decided to avoid free communication with Ash as much as possible in his future work.
Ash apologized as he led Roddy to the couch and introduced him to the old man with the coffee.
"This is our senior, Mr. Em, who has been working in the organization for ten years, you can ask him if you don't understand anything, Mr. Em is a very kind and helpful gentleman. ”
Roddy bowed slightly and smiled very politely.
"My name is Roddy, and it's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Em. ”
Em put down his coffee cup, nodded kindly, and pointed to a door not far away.
"The captain is already waiting for you inside. ”
Roddy bowed slightly again in gratitude, and turned to walk to the room that Em had pointed to.
Ash followed not far behind, Em sipped his coffee and shook his head with a smile as he watched the scene.
....
"Please come in. ”
Roddy pushed open the door and saw Bob sitting at his desk flipping through the papers and pointing to the couch with his head down, shortly after Roddy sat down, Bob stood up and handed the papers to Roddy.
"Look at it. ”
Luo Di took the document a little stiffly, turned the first page, and found that it was an application document.
"It contains specific salary packages, job descriptions and common sense about the organization, which need to be signed by you, and you can take the rest of the documents back and look at them carefully. ”
Roddy flipped through a few pages, and before he could look closely, Bob handed over the pen.
"Sign here. ”
"Yes, and here. . . Over here. ”
It wasn't until Bob took the signed document away that Roddy realized that he hadn't read it yet!
But Bob had already neatly sealed the file, apparently not planning to return it to Roddy for him to read carefully.
"Your place of work remains the same, and I need your assistance in investigating some of the truth about this serial murder. ”
"The truth?"
Roddy realizes that the murder case really has an eyebrow, and it is indeed a case caused by an extraordinary person.
"Have an old newspaper in your private studio and it will give you the necessary clues. ”
"Remember, Issad is not extraordinary. ”
Roddy nodded a little dazedly, and then Bob explained some simple things, such as writing a detailed personal resume, and the god of faith, etc.
On this point, Roddy wrote about the God of Dawn with great interest.
After leaving Bob's office, Roddy called Ash, who, according to Captain Bob's request, would unfortunately be his guide for a while.
Ash strongly agreed, and he thought Roddy was very happy as well.
....
"This is the library, try not to make noise when you go inside, I mean, Lady Catherine doesn't like noisy people. ”
Ash glanced at the library with a slight fear, and continued in a suppressed voice:
"You go in, I won't go in. ”
Roddy nodded, gently pushed open the door of the library, a unique smell of books came to the surface, the room was a little dim, and a kerosene lamp could be vaguely seen not far away emitting a faint light.
Roddy glanced back at Ash and couldn't help but feel a little nervous when he saw his nervous appearance.
"Quick-in-go-let!"
Ash said again in a suppressed voice.
Roddy took a deep breath and stepped through the door, turning back to close the door only to find it slowly and gently closing on its own.
Only then did I realize that the temperature in the library was too low.
"Don't you want to be so mysterious..."
Roddy muttered and looked away at the oil lamp, only to see a face floating in front of him, young, lovely, and silent.
