152. Look for the Slytherin Lounge
Ever since the notebook didn't appear in Ginny's possession, McGoth had always had a sense of urgency, especially the Horcrux in the Room of Requirement, the Ravenclaw Golden Crown.
Every night during the first few days of school, he would borrow Harry's invisibility cloak to find out how to enter the Room of Requirement, but he couldn't find the door no matter what he did. For this reason, he also went out of his way to ask about the twins.
But it turned out to be obvious, even though it was a fluke that he followed the two of them to find the door last semester, neither of them knew if it was the right one. Fred and George were shocked to know that the Room of Requirement, the most mysterious of the rooms, and then said that they couldn't help it, and they kept looking for the seemingly non-existent room, but they gave him the map of the living spots.
"You don't need it?" McGoth took the old parchment and asked curiously.
The usually cheerful twins had a depressed look on their faces.
"The reason why we kept all the secret rooms and secret passages that we explored in a year was to find the secret rooms that were not discovered by other wizards, and as you know, those mysterious secret rooms cannot be on this at all, since it is a waste to put them in our hands like this, it is better to use them for you."
Since they had all said so, McGoth was disrespectful and happily put it away, with this thing it might be possible to find the whereabouts of the basilisk on it.
Harry and the others were happier than he was when they learned that the twins had given the map to McGoss again, and agreed that they should go out for the night.
Since they were so interested, McGoth wouldn't say anything to disappoint them. At the end of the day's lessons, Harry took out his cloak of invisibility and draped the three of them on.
"Where are we going?" Magos took out the map and wand and opened it with a spell.
"I solemnly swear that I have not done anything good."
"Go to Slytherin, Malfoy has been avoiding us for the past few days, trying to scare him." Ron remembered his father's face in Diagon Alley.
"Okay, this way, Lady Loris and Filch are on the third floor, they won't meet so soon, but how do we get into the Slytherin common room? They are all in the common room now. McGoth looked at the names on the map.
"Uh," Ron froze, he really didn't expect it.
"Forget it, let's go and see, there's no destination anyway. By the way, Harry, haven't you started Quidditch training yet? ”
"Starting next week, Wood said he'd been thinking about what formation to use this year since he lost in the final last semester, and it looks like he's going to be crazy if Gryffindor doesn't win the title again this year." At the end, he felt a little guilty.
"It's none of your business, Harry, the Quidditch game couldn't be as important as the one we did."
"You're right, Ron, but if I had been able to compete, I might have won the championship."
"It's the same this year, we believe in you."
"Thank you."
"By the way, I never asked, Ron, what about your father's car? It sent you off and then went back? Magos and the others asked as they cautiously stopped in front of the sliding staircase.
"Don't mention it." Ron shrugged as he remembered the Roaring Letter again, "It was beaten to pieces by the Beater Willow, and it threw Harry and me out of the Forbidden Forest in a fit of rage. Harry nodded, also looking embarrassed.
"Angry?" McGoth was a little puzzled, "Isn't it just a car with magic on it?" How can you be angry? Could it be that anything that has been transformed by magic has emotions? ”
"I guess so." Ron obviously didn't expect this stubble, and returned uncertainly. "I don't know how many spells my dad used on it."
"Well, I'll ask your father next time. It's really interesting, a bit like the transformation of the machine by the fire? McGoth wondered if it would become a magical Transformer.
"What kindling?"
"A Muggle fantasy, nothing. Do we need to bring it back? ”
Ron almost jumped up like a cat with a tail, "No kidding, we're not going to be in the Forbidden Forest." Last time I almost died in it. I don't want to go into that place even if I get ten more yelling letters. ”
"It's not that dangerous now, don't forget that it happened when Quirrell was controlled."
"Even then, I won't go in again." Ron was unmoved.
"What about you, Harry, has that house-elf ever bothered you again?"
"No, he shouldn't dare to do it in school." Harry was tickling with his fist now at the thought of Dobby, and he even wondered if he had let him and Ron not catch the train.
"I also think it's better not to go to the Forbidden Forest if it's okay, Hagrid didn't say there were dark creatures inside."
"Yes, that's right. Wait, there's someone ahead. "McGoth had been chatting with the two of them, but half of his attention was still on the live map.
"Who is it?" Harry asked in a low voice, and Ron tightened his invisibility cloak a little nervously.
"The words are too small, I'll take a look."
"It's Professor Lockhart."
"Professor Lockhart? How could he be here, this is the fifth floor. ”
"Would you like to follow along?"
Harry and Ron hesitated and shook their heads, "Forget it, it won't be good if you get discovered." ”
"Okay. Hey, he's coming to us. Be careful and control your breathing. As he spoke, the three of them slowly pressed against the wall.
After a while, Lockhart walked up to them with a smile on his face and left.
"Looks like he's happy to be the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, look at the smug look on his face."
"It's a pride to be a professor at Hogwarts, but I heard that it seems that other wizards didn't want to teach such a class."
"Really?" Ron and Harry asked, surprised.
"I don't know if it's true or not, I've heard from other wizards in Diagon Alley and bars, but regardless of anything else, it seems from that lesson that he does have a hand at dealing with those elves."
"Alright, let's go down quickly, if we can get into the Slytherin common room." Ron urged.
"How is this possible. Aside from the wizards of their respective houses, wizards from other houses rarely found each other's lounges. Harry reminded one.
"Not necessarily, don't forget we have this." McGoth pointed to the map of the living spots.
"Remember how I found Hufflepuff last year? Their lounge is much more secluded than Slytherin's. ”
Harry and Ron glanced at each other, and they could see the excitement in each other's eyes, going to the common rooms of other houses, Ai, this is much more interesting than wandering around, and how many students have been to the common rooms of other houses?
I don't know what Filch is doing, he thinks that there won't be students running around at the beginning of the school year or what, as you can see from the map of the living point, he has stayed in his room for the first time and has not come out.
The three of them decided it would be okay to walk sideways tonight.
When I got to the basement, I found Malfoy's location and kept going down the stairs.
Three guests who didn't belong here came to the dimly lit underground passage, and even their best efforts to slow down their steps could not stop the sound of footsteps from spreading.
"It's my first time in this place, and I didn't expect it to be such a big place under the basement, and there are so many forks, it's a labyrinth. Good thing we had a specific location for Malfoy. ”
"McGoss, a question popped into my mind." Harry paused.
"What's the problem?"
"We need a password to enter the lounge, so do you need a password in the Slytherin lounge."
"yes, how did we forget that. It's a pity, it's almost there. Harry was as disappointed as Ron was now.
"I'll talk about it when I find the door, I'm a little unwilling if I'm not sure."
"I remember we don't have walkie-talkies, so let's have Malfoy come over and open the door." Ron remembered the communication tool they had forgotten for nearly half a year.
"It's long since the power is out. You can't charge it in school. ”
Slowly, they came to the nearest passage to Malfoy. Harry and Ron were dumbfounded when they looked at the tightly matched passageway, there wasn't even a door here to enter the Slytherin lounge?
"There's no way around it now, let's go back." Ron groped his hands all over the wall, not even the door, not even a crack. Harry didn't speak, but he gave up.
"Maybe the door is here, maybe the door will open when you say the command."
"What's the password? The Slytherin people would never tell anyone else. ”
"Guess what's your favorite Slytherin, we'll say whatever we want, or go back without opening."
"Snakes, Slytherin's emblem is snakes." Harry said and quickly looked around.
"It's useless, the door isn't open. And in case the door is not here, even if we guess correctly, it is useless. The anticipation that had just risen vanished in an instant, and Ron said something dejected, but then said a word of pure-blood wizard.
However, nothing happened.
"Pureblood?" McGoth tried to unpack it, and he also felt that pure-blood wizard was Slytherin's favorite word.
As McGoss's words fell, a stone door hidden in the stone wall opened on the wall not far from them.
"Let's go, let's go find him tomorrow." McGoth pulled out a map of the live spot to see if Filch came out.
Harry turned his head and gave him a casual look, then froze, "Wait, there's a gate there." ”
"Where?" Before he could find Filch's name, Magos put away the map of the living spots, and looked at Harry, and sure enough, there was a hole in the wall not far away.
"Quick, hide it." Harry shouted as he put the cloak on his hand.
Magos and Ron also reacted and hurried in. Then they slowly walked into the unknown door, and as soon as they entered, the stone door quietly closed again.
