According to Buddhism, Nezha is the son of Bishamen, the northern king of the four heavenly kings, and is one of the protector gods of Buddhism.

The king of Bishamen has five sons (one says that the four kings each have ninety-one sons), in addition to the third prince Nazha, the second prince Dujian is also a powerful man, his mother is an auspicious goddess, and his sister is also a goddess, which belongs to the wealthy family of Buddhism. According to scholars' research, there is no Nezha in the earliest Buddhist scriptures, but only Nazha, and more Buddhist scriptures related to Bishamen in the modern Tang Dynasty and thereafter, such as "The Northern Bishamen Heavenly King Accompanied the Army to Protect the Dharma Ritual".

There is no name of Nezha in the translation of "The Praise of the Buddha" in the Northern Liang period, and the name of the son of the king of Bishamen in the text is Na Luo Jiupo. In "The Buddha's Praise of the First Life", it says: "The Heavenly King of Bishaman, who gave birth to Narakupha, all the heavenly beings are very happy. In the Buddhist scriptures of the Tang Dynasty and thereafter, Nezha was often referred to as the son or grandson of King Bishamen.

In the 92nd volume of the "Taiping Guangji", it is said: "Xuanlu is very painful, and often after walking the road at night, he falls down the stairs, and suddenly finds someone praising his feet." Xuan Gu looked at it, and he was a young man. Xuan Yan asked, who is the disciple, who is here in the middle of the night. The young man said, a certain person, that is, Prince Nazha of the Prince of Bishamentian. For the sake of protecting the Dharma, he has supported monks for a long time. Xuanlu said, poor Taoist practice, nothing to bother the prince. ”

Taoism traces its origins

In Taoism, it is said that he is the commander of the divine soldiers and generals, and is called "Marshal of Zhongtan" and "Willing Illustrious General". The Jade Emperor ordered him to Yongzhen Tianmen.

Because there are many demon kings in the world, the Jade Emperor ordered to descend to the mortal, so he was born in Li Jing, the king of Tota. Mrs. Suzhi, the mother, gave birth to the eldest son Jin Zha, the second Mu Zha, and the handsome third son Nezha.

On the fifth day of his birth, he bathed in the East China Sea, stepped on the crystal hall, and turned over and went straight to the pagoda palace. The dragon king stepped on the palace and fought angrily. Seven days of handsomeness, that is, to be able to fight, kill nine dragons. The old dragon had no choice but to mourn the emperor, and the handsome knew that the battle was under the gate of heaven and the dragon died. Unexpectedly, at the altar of God, with a bow and arrow in his hand, he shot the son of Shi Ji Niangniang, and Shi Ji raised soldiers. Shuai took the father's altar to subdue the demon pestle and killed him in the west. The father took Shi Ji as the leader of the demons, and was angry at him to kill him to provoke the soldiers of the demons. Shuai then cut the flesh and returned to his father, and held the true spirit to seek all on the side of the world-honored one.

The world-honored person also used his ability to subdue demons, so he folded lotus water for bones, lotus root for meat, silk for tendons, and leaves for clothing. Granted the first secret will, and received the three words of the eldest son of the wood, so that he could be big and small, penetrate the river into the sea, and move the stars and turn the bucket; frightened, the sky fell; Oh, the golden light covers the world; As soon as the bricks sounded, the dragon obeyed the tiger; With a swing of the gun, the sky spins around; The hydrangea is thrown, and the mountain collapses and the sea cracks.

Therefore, all the demons such as the Bull Demon King, the Lion Demon King, the Elephant Demon King, the Horse-headed Demon King, the World-Swallowing Demon King, the Demon Mother Demon King, the Nine-Headed Demon King, the Dolly Demon King, the Fantian Demon King, the Five Hundred Yakshas, and the Seventy-two Fire Crows, all descended to the Red Monkey (Sun Dasheng of Huaguo Mountain) and the Descending Dragon. The cover demon is endless, handsome, and versatile. Therefore, Lingshan will think that Tongtian Taishi and Weiling are illustrious generals. The Jade Emperor was named the first consul of the thirty-six members, the leader of the Tianshuai Yuan, and the Tianmen of Yongzhen. It can be seen that the story of Nezha in "The Romance of the Gods" and "Journey to the West" is basically consistent with the records in "The Three Religions Source Stream Search God Daquan", that is to say, Nezha's story is basically characterized in "The Three Religions Source Flow Search God Daquan", and finally Nezha is a household name with the classic image in "The Romance of the Feng Gods".
