/Preface The more important point of literature is the taste of life

I haven't written a novella in 10 years. Ten years ago, when I visited Japan, I soaked in the hot springs there, and suddenly remembered the hot springs on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and wrote an article "Distant Hot Springs", which I never wrote again.

This year, I suddenly decided to write a few novels about products produced on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau that are strongly demanded by today's consumer society. The first article, "Three Cordyceps". The second article, "Mushroom Circle". The third article, "Cypress Shadow on the River".

Today, the attitude of the Chinese towards the frontier zone and the heterogeneous cultural zone has changed greatly from the past. In the past, the Chinese longed for the frontier to make meritorious achievements, "bicycles want to ask the border, and the subject country lives and extends", but in today's era of consumerism, if such a place is not of tourist value, it has basically been forgotten by most people. In addition, if these areas are still remembered, there must be some special properties. For example, Cordyceps, such as matsutake mushrooms. Therefore, I decided to use this special product as an entry point to observe the impact of these needs on the local society and the local people.

In my writing, I was wary of myself not to write about bizarre local chronicles, not to turn myself into an elegant foodie with a developed sense of taste and a set of unique words to describe these tastes because the things involved were precious ingredients and something on the tip of my tongue. I believe that the more important points of literature are the taste of life, the darkness or brightness of human nature, the strong sense of destiny brought to us by the changeable world, and the tenacity and depth of emotion in life.

I am willing to write about the tribulations, sins, and sorrows that I have experienced in life, but I am more willing to write about the warmth of human nature after experiencing all this. Even though it seems that the world is still sliding towards greed and sin, I am willing to maintain a warm yearning for humanity.
