But the destruction of the country and the death of the family are in an instant. The father was poisoned by a traitor, and a black storm swept across the land. People wailed and were killed. The leader of the mutiny, one of his brothers, smirked and coerced the hostage, which he recognized as an orphan who had been adopted by the temple. Now the rebels want him to hand over the golden seal of the king, and if he delays an extra quarter of an hour, he will kill a child.

I don't know how long he was unconscious, but in the haze, one hand scooped up the cool spring water for him. It was a young monk, who seemed to have come from afar. The monk asked him for directions, and he replied in despair: "That place has become hell, why do you want to go there?" ”

Bodhidharma said, "Yes, because this unfortunate result was caused by my own hands. He laughed that he was born with the mission of surrendering evil, but in the end he became evil.

The monk shook his head: "You are not evil, you are just too cowardly. It's easy to destroy, it's too hard to build. You've been wandering here: not daring to turn back, because you don't believe you've created the darkness; I didn't have the courage to leave, because I didn't dare to step out of this darkness. ”

Bodhidharma asked him, "What about you?" I know that darkness has fallen, why did I come here? ”

The monk "Amitabha" said: "The poor monk came from the east and wanted to go to the west to learn the scriptures." Chang'an, soon will also fall into the night.
