Chapter 655: Yang Yuhuan Chapter (Extra) I
();
Yang Yuhuan in history:
Yang Yuhuan (June 22, 719 A.D. - July 15, A.D.), known as Taizhen (later returned to the vulgar), the favorite concubine of Tang Xuanzong, a court musician and dancer in the Tang Dynasty, her musical talent is rare in the concubines of the past dynasties, her body is plump, her skin is like coagulation, Bai Juyi described her as "looking back and smiling at a hundred beautiful people, and the six palaces have no color", and was praised by later generations as one of the four beauties of ancient China. Yang Yuhuan was first the princess of Tang Xuanzong's son, Shouwang Li Mao, and after being ordered to become a monk, she was canonized as a concubine by her father-in-law Tang Xuanzong. In the fifteenth year of Tianbao (756), An Lushan launched a rebellion, followed Li Longji out of Chang'an from Yanqiumen, and went into exile in Shuzhong.
Yang Yuhuan was born in the sixth lunar month of the seventh year of Kaiyuan (719) in a family of eunuchs, and his great-grandfather Yang Wang was the Shangzhu State of the Sui Dynasty and the secretary of the Shangshu, and was killed by Li Shimin in the early Tang Dynasty; father Yang Xuanyan, who served as the secretary of Shuzhou; Uncle Yang Xuanqi once served as Tucao in Henan Prefecture, and Yang Yuhuan spent his childhood in Shuzhou.
In the seventeenth year of Kaiyuan, Yang Yuhuan, who was about 10 years old, was fostered in Luoyang's third uncle Yang Xuanqi's house due to the death of his father.
Yang Yuhuan was born beautiful, coupled with a superior educational environment, so that she has a certain cultural accomplishment, a gentle personality, proficient in music, good at singing and dancing, and good at playing the pipa. In Bai Juyi's "Song of Long Hatred", it is described as: natural beauty is difficult to give up, and once chosen on the king's side.
In July of the twenty-second year of Kaiyuan, Princess Xianyi, the daughter of Tang Xuanzong, held a wedding in Luoyang, and Yang Yuhuan was also invited to attend. Princess Xianyi's younger brother Shouwang Li Mao fell in love with Yang Yuhuan at first sight, and Tang Xuanzong issued an edict at the request of Concubine Wu Hui to appoint her as Princess Shou that year. After marriage, the two were unusually sweet.
In the twenty-fifth year of Kaiyuan (737), Concubine Wu Hui died, and Li Mao's mother, Concubine Wu Hui, was Xuanzong's favorite concubine, and her courtesy in the palace was equivalent to that of the queen. Xuanzong was depressed because of this, when the harem was thousands, Yuhuan and Li Mao had nothing to do, someone said that Yang Yuhuan "posture is strong, it should be filled with the court", so Tang Xuanzong summoned Yang into the harem.
In October of the twenty-eighth year of Kaiyuan (740), in the name of praying for the blessing of Xuanzong's mother, Empress Dowager Dou, the edict Yang became a female Taoist priest, and the Taoist name was "Taizhen".
In the fourth year of Tianbao (745), Tang Xuanzong canonized Wei Zhaoxun's daughter as Princess Shou, and then canonized Yang Yuhuan as a concubine.
When Xuanzong composed "Song of Ni Clothes and Feathers", when he summoned Yang Guifei, he asked the musicians to play this new music, gave Yang a golden hairpin, and personally inserted it on Yang's sideburns. Xuanzong said to the harem people: "I have Yang Guifei, if I have the treasure" ("Ancient and Modern Palace Secrets" volume 3) copied the new song "Debaozi", which shows the glory of favor. When the palace did not set up a new queen Yuhuan and parrots, the palace people called Yang "Niangzi", and they were in the back position. Zheng Chuzhu told a story, saying that after Yang Yuhuan was promoted to a concubine, a white parrot was paid on Lingnan Gong, which could imitate human language, Xuanzong and Yang Guifei liked it very much, called it "Snow Flower Girl", and the palace called it "Snow Flower Girl".
Tang Xuanzong ordered the ministers to teach poems, and after a few times, this white parrot could be chanted and cute. Every time Xuanzong played chess with Yang Guifei, if the game was unfavorable to Xuanzong, the eunuch who was waiting for him was afraid that Xuanzong would lose the chess, so he called "Snow Lady", and the parrot flew into the chessboard, opening its wings and flapping its wings. Later, this lovely "Snow Lady" was pecked to death by an eagle, and Xuanzong and Yang Guifei were very sad and buried it in the Imperial Garden, called "Parrot Mound". Xuanzong still cherishes the pet white parrot so much, and his favor for Yang Guifei is not to mention.
The Yang family gained power
Yang Guifei's eldest sister was named Mrs. Korea, the third sister was named Mrs. Qiuguo, and the eighth sister was named Mrs. Qin. Each monthly gift of fat powder costs 100,000 yuan. Mrs. Qiu Guo ranks third, and she is beautiful by her natural beauty, and she is not fake fat powder. Du Fu's poem "Mrs. Qiuguo": "Mrs. Qiuguo inherited the main thoughts, and Pingming got on the horse and entered the Golden Gate. But the fat powder is like a color, and the moth eyebrows are swept towards the supreme. (Du Shi Commentary, Vol. 2) is a portrayal of the facts.
Because Yang Guifei was favored, her brothers were given to high-ranking officials, and even distant brother Yang Zhao, who was originally a scoundrel in the market, because of good planning, Xuanzong and the Yang sisters gambled, so that Yang Zhao calculated the gambling account, gave the name Guozhong, and held more than ten positions in the branch Langzhong, manipulating the government. Xuanzong traveled to Xinghua Qingchi, with the five families of the Yang family as his subordinates, each family had a team, wearing a color dress, and the five families were in a team, colorful. Along the way, jewelry is everywhere, sparkling and shining, and its luxury cannot be overstated. The Yang family married two princesses and two county lords, and Xuanzong also personally wrote the temple monument for the Yang family and the Shujia family.
First out of the palace
In July of the fifth year of Tianbao, due to Yang Guifei's pampering and arrogance, she offended Xuanzong and was reprimanded by Xuanzong to return to her mother's house.
After the concubine left the palace, Xuanzong couldn't eat and drink, and Gao Lishi had to call her back again. The official history records: "Old Tang Dynasty Book Volume 51" records that "in July of the fifth year, the concubine was sent back to Yang Chen's house with a slight reprimand", "In the ninth year of Tianbao, the concubine reverted to the decree and was sent back to the outer place". Volume 76 of the "New Tang Dynasty Book" records: On the other day, the concubine returned the concubine to the first, compared to the middle, the emperor did not eat the royal food, and he was angry. Gao Lishi wanted to test the emperor's intentions, but he used the palace to provide accounts, and Si Nong gave more than 100 cars to the concubine, and the emperor gave it to the imperial meal. Lux knows the emperor's will, it is the night, please summon the concubine back, and the key to Anxingfang door galloped in. When the concubine saw the emperor, she thanked him, the emperor was relieved, and he was good. "Zizhi Tongjian" records: The concubine was jealous and fierce, angry, and sent her life back. ”
None of these official histories positively elaborated on the process of this incident, and said in unison that Yang Guifei was sent back to her mother's house because she offended Xuanzong by making a mistake. The reason recorded in the "Zizhi Tongjian" is that "jealousy is not inferior", and what happened is still not said. The wild history "Kaiyuan Biography Letter" records: Concubine Taizhen is often jealous, and there are words to invade, and she is very angry", "Concubine Taizhen is often jealous, and words are invaded, and she is very angry, and she summons Gao Lishi to return to her home with a baggage."
It is not difficult to see that Yang Guifei was charged with "jealousy" this time. The person Yang Guifei was jealous of, many people speculated that it was Tang Xuanzong's other concubine - Concubine Mei. According to the Song people's "Biography of Concubine Mei": "Concubine Mei's name is Jiang Caiping, and she entered the palace 19 years earlier than Yang Guifei. In that year, Tang Xuanzong's favorite concubine Wu Hui died, Xuanzong was lost, and the eunuch Gao Lishi suggested a national beauty pageant. Gao Lishi came to Fujian and saw Jiang Caiping, and was shocked. So, he took her back to the palace and dedicated her to Tang Xuanzong. ”
Jiang Caiping is not only beautiful, but also gentle and elegant, and soon captured Xuanzong's heart. Jiang Caiping has loved elegance since she was a child, and she also likes the same elegant plum blossoms. Tang Xuanzong named her Concubine Mei and specially planted a plum forest for her in the harem.
