Zhu Hongqiao quickly assembled his team, organized 15 large-tonnage water tankers and foam trucks, and 65 officers and soldiers to rush to the highway intersection in advance to wait for orders. At 20:40, the corps ordered reinforcements from the Liaoyang Fire Detachment to set off, and they quickly rushed to Dalian.

At 2:20 a.m. on the 17th, the Liaoyang detachment arrived in Dalian. Zhu Hongqiao looked around, there were not one or two tanks around the fire site, nor ten or eight tanks, but all oil tanks and chemical tanks within a radius of more than ten kilometers. This place is on fire, and people are still drilling into it? There is no way, this is the duty of the firefighters, and a fire bigger than this has to be drilled into it.

Zhu Hongqiao went to the general headquarters to ask for instructions. Liu Leguo, deputy director of the Provincial Public Security Department, and Wang Luzhi, chief of the Provincial Fire Brigade, ordered the Liaoyang detachment to set up positions in the No. 37 and No. 42 oil tank areas to intercept the flowing fire, cool and protect the No. 37 and No. 42 tanks from danger. By the time the Liaoyang detachment reached the No. 37 and No. 42 tank areas, the Dalian detachment and the Yingkou detachment had already set up positions there. Zhu Hongqiao looked up, how can this ensure that the No. 37 and No. 42 cans are not in danger? The top of the No. 37 tank was already burning, and the huge oil can was blazing with flames on the top, which was very conspicuous in the night. If you look closely, the insulation layer of the No. 37 oil tank is burning, which is like a *** shell burning, and there is no one who is not afraid of seeing it, even a fool is afraid of it.

When it comes to the fire, fear is the second thing, and the first thing is fighting. According to the order issued by the General Headquarters, Zhu Hongqiao organized the Liaoyang Detachment to supply water and foam to the Dalian Detachment and the Yingkou Detachment. They put in 13 combat vehicles to carry water, using local forklifts and ladders to transport foam. The Liaoyang detachment started at 2:20 a.m. and worked until 13 o'clock, transporting more than 72,200 tons of water in total.

After the completion of this task, the Liaoyang detachment received a new task - to take over from the Dalian detachment and continue to cool the OTD units on both sides of tanks No. 37 and No. 42, which are extremely dangerous chemical plants. The Liaoyang detachment set up two water cannon and foam gun positions here to cool down and extinguish the fire.

The ground was flowing with fire in front of the OTD device, and the fire dragon danced wildly, twisting and burning. Extinguished, again. Destroy again, and again. The fire dragon was rekindled a total of 7 times, and everyone was exhausted. But no matter how tired you are, people will definitely fight hard to extinguish the fire in front of the OTD. If this device is detonated, it will be detonated for hundreds of miles. So, no matter how tired you are, you have to do it. They used 16 tons of foam to extinguish the fire for the eighth time. According to scientific specifications, the fire of this chemical plant must be continuously cooled for 6 hours before it can be completely flame retardant. They worked until late at night, and then watched all night.

On the morning of the 18th, the top of the No. 37 tank re-ignited, and they continued to cool and extinguish until the residual fire was cleaned up. In the afternoon of the same day, the Liaoyang detachment was sent to the position of the office building of the State Reserve. It is located on the north side of tank 103, and above the building is a 6-meter-high slope retaining wall. During the construction of the reservoir area, the hillside was split 6 meters deep, and the covered building was flattened, and there were more than 500 meters of oil pipelines on the slope protection.

If you don't go to the scene, no one knows how vicious the oil fire is, after the 6-meter-high stone slope protection is overfired, it loses the nature of stone cement, and it will collapse if it is crisp. As soon as half of the mountain collapses, the pipes above tilt and break, and the waves of oil erupt wildly, which will produce new disasters. The task of the Liaoyang detachment is to cool and recool this piece of slope retaining wall to protect the wall from collapse and the pipeline from combustion. They took out 4 water guns and foam guns, confronted this wall day and night, and worked for 5 days and 5 nights, the position was safe and sound, and the Liaoyang detachment successfully completed the task.

Zhu Hongqiao recalled the 7.16 firefighting operation, and the pictures in his mind were constant, non-stop and incoherent. On the fire, the roof of the car was black, and the sputum that people spit on was also black. After two or three days of going, the logistics couldn't keep up, and I was hungry. Zhu Hongqiao's favorite is boiled eggs with soy sauce and green onions, which he often eats at home, but the supermarket here is empty and he can't buy anything. It wasn't until the fourth day that Zhu Hongqiao ate his dear eggs. They were hungry for a day when they first went, and slept on fire trucks and on the ground for the first three days. After three days of fighting, they went to the office area of the oil reserve base, intending to go into the building to find a place to sleep, but were driven down by the people of PetroChina, and they had to go back to sleep on the top of the tank of the fire truck.
