Chapter 50: The One-Eyed Stranger

Outside the Hoglas campus, the dawn of the morning dawned.

Yesterday's weather was gloomy and untiring, and many students showed signs of fatigue and coughing.

Last night, Neil slept like a dead pig in his dorm room, and he woke up early in the morning to see Jerry sleeping more heavily than he did, and snickered.

He shuffled over to Jerry's bed, climbed onto Jerry's bed, and scratched Jerry's nostrils a few times with the feathers from his quill.

Jerry sneezed, rolled over, ignored him, hugged the quilt again, and slept lazily.

"Jerry, I'm Amy, I'm here to see you."

Jerry woke up suddenly, and he saw Neil chuckling and bending over, almost rolling off the edge of the bed.

"Go!" Jerry asked in a trance, "Is it a weekend today?" ”

"Are you stupid?" Neil picked up the kettle and prepared to go out to fetch water, "Yesterday was our first day of class. ”

"What time is it?" Jerry rubbed his temples and sat up from the bed, "What's the sound outside?" ”

A "bang" sound came from outside the dormitory window, and the sound was urgent.

Neil shuffled his feet and opened the window, almost softening his feet, and he was so surprised that a pair of hands appeared on the edge of the window.

Bonnie grabbed the window and poked her head out in a hurry. Seeing that it was Neil, he frowned.

"Oh, how are you? If I had climbed the window of the girls' dormitory like this, I would have been kicked down by them. Neil said in surprise.

After Neil finished baring his teeth, the hand that was about to be stretched out stopped in mid-air and quickly retracted.

"Please come and help me! Jerry—" Bonnie called Jerry. Jerry walked up to him and pulled her in from the outside.

Embarrassed, Neil scratched his hair and shuffled back to his bed.

"How did you come up from outside?" Jerry asked Bonnie incredulously.

He leaned over to the window, leaned out, and frowned: there were no climbing tools from the first floor to the fifth floor, how did Bonnie step on the flower shop underneath?

He turned and looked at Bonnie blankly.

"You should give me an explanation, Bonnie, what the hell is going on? Were you locked out all night? ”

"Not to mention Jerry, it's terrible, I slipped out last night." Bonnie recalled, "I hid it from Uncle Inspector, isn't it cool?" ”

"You ran out of school?" Jerry was surprised.

"What, Jerry, who dares to sneak out of Hoglais? The Bollegos have been there all the time, how could I possibly do something stupid. Bonnie said excitedly, as if she had discovered a secret, and hurried to the window, closed it, and began to report her gains.

"I followed Larry Howie all night and found him sneaking into the cafeteria, sprinkling some 'light-boosting powder' in the corners, in the aisles and in the corridors, even on the floor of the toilet."

"What does he want to do? But—Bonnie, you surprised me a little, you—how did you climb up? Such a high floor! Jerry wondered, waiting for her to explain.

"Don't dwell on this, Jerry, Pullie wants to wreak havoc, how can he have a light-boosting powder? That thing is a prohibited item in Hoglas! He must be trying to secretly unlock the forbidden light spell on the imps! Disrupt order in Hoglais. ”

She paused, "As expected, you can see some imps running out in a while. Bonnie said solemnly, walking to the door, opening it and peeking out into the hallway.

There was silence in the corridor outside, "I'll have to get out of here before there's any, Jerry, we'll talk to the teaching room later, Professor Afdow's Transfiguration class is the most interesting." Don't forget that the Transfiguration class is at nine o'clock. She slipped out lightly.

"Remember to bring your wand!" Bonnie popped out of nowhere, opened the door again, and added briefly. Her eyes were full of exhaustion, but her whole body seemed to have endless energy.

"Oh-" Jerry froze as he saw her walk back. Neil touched him with his elbow as if he had something to say, and when he saw Bonnie present, he swallowed the words again.

Neil suddenly became quiet. Jerry was taken by surprise by the change. "I guess you're wondering how she got up, right?" Neil whispered to prevent being heard by Bonnie.

At this moment, Bonnie's figure had just disappeared at the end of the hallway.

"Tell me, how do you think she did it?"

"This girl must have a secret hidden from us." Neil was so sure that he walked to the window and looked down, "No sign of climbing?" Did she fly up? ”

Neil frowned, his eyes wandered, and he saw an eye staring at him from behind the tree next to the road at the bottom of the first floor, and that eye was shining with a dark light, and the man hiding behind the tree grinned at Neil eerily, which frightened Neil into closing the window immediately.

"There's a one-eyed ghost watching us down there." Neil said with some horror. To Jerry, Neil's expression was worried, "He's hiding behind that big branch below. ”

"I'm sure he's been staring at the window of our dorm room for a long time, maybe he saw Eliza when she climbed in through the window." Neil opened the window again.

Jerry leaned over and didn't see the figure, and he wondered if Neil was mistaken.

Neil insisted that he couldn't be mistaken: "It's a one-eyed ghost, and his sneaky appearance must not have any good intentions." Neil said worriedly, picking up the glass and taking a sip of cold water.

"Hurry up and prepare, it's time for us to go to class." Jerry put on his shoes, ran to wash, and ran back in a hurry, seeing Neil leisurely, "Are you going to skip class again?" ”

"It's 20 minutes until nine o'clock." Jerry grunted, put on his coat and said seriously, "If you don't hurry, you'll be late!" Oops—" He remembered that he had to hand in a review today.

"I didn't write a single word of 50,000 words!" Jerry said nervously, "I'll have to go to the classroom first to catch up on this review, lest 'Dead Face' have to talk about it in front of everyone again." ”

"Hurry up—Neil!" Jerry rushed out the door like an arrow, and the door to the dormitory slammed shut.

As if he hadn't heard him, Neil fell back on the bed and closed his eyes, and he jumped up nervously and immediately opened the window.

Sure enough, the one-eyed man was still hiding behind the branch, and he was poking out a dark eye and looking at the window of their dormitory.

What the hell is this one-eyed man trying to do?

Neil quickly closed the window before he remembered that it was time to go to class. His lips were swollen a lot, and they didn't feel as hot and painful as before.

He was about to go to class, but when he heard his stomach tumbling over, his face changed, and he quickly ran to the toilet.

After a while, there was a continuous flushing of water in the toilet, the sound of paper pumping, and Neil went in and out of the toilet at least seven times.

“…… Enough worries! It must be the sequelae of eating devil mushrooms! Hopefully this is the last time I squat. Jerry, hand me a piece of paper......"

Neil's muttering came from the toilet on and off, his eighth run into the toilet, and he had always suspected that it was the after-effects of the devil mushroom of the Chris and Crito twins.

"Oh, thanks, I forgot, he just left......" Neil muttered as there was a sound of footsteps outside, and the door to the toilet slammed shut, "Please close the door lightly!" ”

Neil grumbled, and listened to the footsteps, and through the crack at the bottom of the cubicle toilet door, he saw a pair of mud-stained boots parked outside.

It was obvious that someone was deliberately drawing his attention, and usually Neil would rush out and reason with the other party immediately, and when he heard the sound of a broom scratching the floor, he changed his mind.

The mud on the boots made Neil shout: "Please clean the boots first when you come to clean up next time, yes, can you help me get some paper from next door, I need it very urgently now, yes, just pass it in from under the crack in the door, thank you very much!" ”

Without saying a word, the man shoved a piece of paper under the crack in the door, and Neil touched the palm of his hand—rough, wide, calloused over.

He Neil took the paper handed in by the man, and found that the paper was stained with some wet dirt, and the whole paper was stained, and he casually asked, "Can you tell me what time it is?" ”

A low, hoarse breath sounded from outside the toilet and into Neil's ears, and the breath sound was particularly strange, not like the sound made by ordinary people.

Neil held his breath and listened, his breath stretched for a long time, like something from a beast.

"What sound?" Neil put on his pants, the sound of the water drowning out the breath, he took a breath and opened the door apprehensively, seeing two eyes as big as light bulbs staring at him from the outside.

- A long, pointy-eared, greenish-brown monster with elven-like teeth bared its teeth, a string of long halas flowing from between its teeth, and it was dressed in human clothes, as if it were wearing a dragon robe because it was too wide.

Loose clothes don't fit at all on its body.

"Oh my God—what's sacred?" Neil's eyes widened, and his trembling hand immediately closed the door, and as he pulled it tight, the monster reached into the crack of the door with a long, thin palm to attack him.

"Bang Bang Bang ——!" The door made a continuous, muffled sound.

Neil screamed to stop it from breaking the door open, and with a thud, the latch of the door shut, and the door still vibrated violently.

The monster was banging on the door with its body, and Neil heard a "boom" sound in his ears. After a while, the sound of banging on the door died down.

Neil stooped down, and when he looked out through the crack in the door, he didn't see the mud-stained boots he had just had, nor did he hear the low, hoarse breath.

He breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that the monster was gone, and reached out to open the door, and the door creaked open, and Neil stepped over a puddle of green unidentified liquid, and quickly evacuated the toilet and ran under the dormitory building.

When he ran out of the dormitory building, he recklessly bumped into a man, a familiar black coat piercing his pupils.

Prune looked at him with a straight face, "Reckless, Neil Kaka, I'm so ashamed of your parents."

Neil was so frightened that he almost cried, he pointed in the direction of the dormitory building, and said in a trembling voice, "There's a monster—a monster, it, it almost ate me, I, I—"

"Neil Kaka, I remember that Mr. Hilfi Kaka was just promoted to the [Golden Magic Honor Club Level 5 Medal of Strength] last year, and as his son, you are ruining his reputation." Punpu rebuked indignantly.

Neil got up from the ground, his legs shaking.

"I'm sorry." Neil shuddered, "I didn't mean to bump into him...... his voice kept shaking, and he didn't dare to look up and look at Prun, who kept frowning.

"Let's go to class right now!" Prunp instructed him in a warning tone, "Now—disappear from here at once!" Punpu was almost shouting. Neil was so frightened that he ran away.
