Chapter XLII: The Lie That Won't End Part I

I don't know how long it took, but Beimian was finally so tired that he fell asleep in bed.

"Whew...... In this case, you can finally rest......" Ta Yu breathed a long sigh of relief, walked with a catwalk, quietly walked to the right half of the bed, slowly stretched out his slightly trembling fingertips, and gently touched Xingyu's hair.

"Good night, Xingyu."

Ta Yu crouched down and slowly leaned her head over, but halfway through, her movements suddenly stopped, and she hesitated slightly, and finally stood up. He walked back to the rattan chair, sat down quietly, looked at the sleeping Xingyu, smiled and closed his eyes.

About ten minutes later, a rustling sound stirred in the air that was supposed to be quiet.

"If you don't cover the quilt, it's not good to catch a cold...... Well...... That's it......"

Carefully climb into bed and press the crisp sound of a light switch.

"Good night, Tayu ......"

When the ladies' rooms finally melted into the night, in a tavern on the street, the quiet night, for the two men, continued.

"Mr. Shijin, would you like a drink?"

"Nice offer, please."

"Waiter! Please give us a bottle of Lafite! (English)"

"Wait a minute, this is too expensive, right?"

Shijin stopped Nan Mian, who was ordering, and pointed to his pocket, making a look of embarrassment.

Nan Mian immediately understood what Shijin was worried about, and said to him with a smile:

"Don't worry, the money is within my reach."

After a short moment of tinkering, the waiter yawned and walked back to the bar, where an open bottle of Lafite and two goblets each filled with a small half glass of red wine were on the table. Under the light, the magnificent light and shadow of purple red are reflected on the white tablecloth, casting a shadow of the remaining silence of the night.

The pleasant sound of clinking glasses resounded in the empty storefront.

"Mr. Shijin, tonight is really a great favor." Nan Mian took a sip of red wine, put down the goblet, and said to Shijin.

"It's nothing, it's what the church should do to eliminate vampires." Shijin said, his tone was still as calm as usual, and he seemed to be completely disapproving, and even made people feel a little cold.

As Shijin spoke, Nan Mian held his chin, staring intently, motionless, carefully observing Shijin's every move. It wasn't until Shijin finished saying that he smiled and moved again, as if he had been pressed the pause button alive while listening to Shijin.

"That...... You...... Feeling uncomfortable? After a few rounds of conversation, Shijin finally began to be unable to turn a blind eye to Nan Mian's strange behavior, and he tactfully reminded Nan Mian, hoping that this side knock would make Nan Mian notice.

"Ahh Be...... I was so rude...... I'm so sorry! Nan Mian immediately noticed his rude behavior, and hurriedly lowered his head and apologized.

"It's okay, it's okay, please don't care." Shijin waved his hand and smiled almost indiscognizably at Nan Mian.

"Actually...... I think Mr. Markham is very much like one of my relatives, so I'm very curious. Nan Mian obviously didn't get past that topic at all, and continued to explain.

"Dear...... Person? Shijin's voice suddenly sank, "Yes...... What kind of ...... Close relatives? ”

"Hmm......" Nan Mian looked up and thought for a moment, "If you have to say it...... It should be like ...... Father...... Something or something, right? ”

When the word "father" was spoken as Nan Mian's lips opened and closed, Nan Mian could feel a faint vibration coming from the other side of the wooden table. He pulled back his gaze to the ceiling and looked at Tenjin, who had his head bowed and black bangs covering his eyes.

"What's wrong? Mr. Tenjin? ”

Shijin slowly raised his head, revealing the silver-gray eyes that had never had a light before.

"No, nothing."

"Really......"

The flashing zinc-colored pupils completely lost their color at that moment.

"Finally...... I'm going to tell this lie anyway......"
