(1) Anorexia in children

Anorexia, also known as bad eating, refers to the condition that children do not eat greedily, lack of appetite, and even refuse to eat for a long time. The disease is more common in children aged 1~6 years, and its occurrence is not obvious seasonality, and the symptoms can be aggravated in summer. Children with anorexia generally have a normal mental state and a good prognosis.

The main causes are uncontrolled diet, improper feeding, and damage to the spleen and stomach due to multiple and long-term diseases, with improper feeding being the most common. The diseased viscera is in the spleen and stomach, and the pathogenesis is the abnormality of the spleen and stomach.

The child has a long-term anorexia and no other medical conditions. There is a history of improper feeding, such as irregular and quantitative eating, overeating raw and cold, forced eating, abdominal distension after eating, and even vomiting, irregular stool, etc.

(1) The child is placed in a supine position, and the surgeon first uses the right palm kneading method to rub and push clockwise on the child's abdomen with the navel as the center of the circle for 3~5 minutes, and the strength of the technique is to the degree that the child can accept with a little force, see this figure (1).

(2) Immediately after the upper method, the surgeon uses the thumb to rub the upper, middle and lower navel of the child, Jianli, Tianshu and Daheng acupoints, and repeat the operation for 3~5 minutes, see this figure (2).

(3) In the prone position, the surgeon first uses the threaded surface of the index and middle finger of the right hand as the focus point, wipes the child's spine 3~5 times from top to bottom, and rubs the spleen, stomach, large intestine and other acupoints for about 3 minutes, see this figure (3).

(4) Immediately after the above method, the surgeon then rubs the patient's Zusanli acupoint with his thumb for 1~3 minutes, see this figure (4).

2. Precautions

(1) Change bad eating habits and eat less sweet and sticky foods.

(2) Anorexia is mostly caused by uncontrolled diet and overeating, and the feeding of children should be scientific and reasonable.

(3) Snacks should be properly controlled, but absolute rejection of snacks is not recommended. It is advisable to eat less snacks on the premise of eating a good meal.

(4) If the child is breastfed, the nursing mother's diet should be healthy and regular.
