Chapter 9: The Revenge of the Sea Beast

After all the way, Ivan and Neko arrived in the free Blue Flame Islands, which seemed to be filled with the worship of giant sea beasts.

The hull of the ship bears the head of a sea monster with the symbol of the tentacled Naga Capolos coiled around it.

Naga Kapoulos โ€“ represents the god of life, growth, and eternal motion. People would also call her Mother Snake, Sea Beast, or Bearded Lady.

In the distance, Ivan could see the snake caller dressed as a humanoid sea beast standing on the shore of the Blue Flame Islands, a stone tower occupied by a large metal sea beast's head, a stone plank like a snake's tail winding upward.

The sailor explained that these strange structures interfered with the waves when they blew, preventing the sea monsters from finding their way to Bilgewater.

These densely packed lighthouse-like structures protect the Blue Flame Islands in the center like stars and moons.

"But during this time, these buildings don't seem to be very spiritual, and those snake callers have appeared more often, I hope they will solve it soon." The sailor said.

Shaken by the sparkling waters of the sun, Ivan came to this unique port where all kinds of talented people gathered, and from a distance Ivan could see the pavilions built along the landscape, and it is hard to imagine how people built these buildings on the towering rocks. The ship-like pavilions are lined up, bringing a touch of seawater to the area.

Passing under the towering Butcher's Bridge, this ancient stone road crosses the main port area, connecting the busy marina at one end to the notorious slum at the other.

The gurgling water flowed down the two cliffs, and the surrounding clouds were no longer thick, and the people of this place were not good at building this harbor from the corpses of an ancient civilization.

Entering the outer city, the houses are connected by flying plank paths, and the long-abandoned temple is used as a residence and a business, and the cries of selling are endless.

As soon as he got off the boat, a young man in ragged clothes greeted him: "Sir, you are an outsider, do you need a guide?" Just 20 copper plates, I can show you this place. Ivan gave the money and walked into the place with Niko, who had become a human maiden.

"Let's find a hotel to stay in." Ivan said to the boy. "Yes, sir. Oh yes, sir, you see this is the bounty list, you can reveal the bounty order and go to the Bounty Hunters Guild to exchange money. Master Sarah once cashed in more than a dozen bounty orders within a week. The young man said excitedly, with an expression of envy on his face. Ivan looked at the bounty list, and at the top of the messy bounty order, there was a big name written - Planck.

And below the bounty list that Ivan didn't see, not far from Planck's name, wrote the infamous Ghost of Bloodport, a thousand Siren coins.

Coming to a remote hotel, the boy greeted the proprietress warmly. "Sir, the boss lady is fine, she took me in." The boy said.

After some conversation, he planned to take Ivan and Niko to see the room.

"By the way, you two are new here, remember not to wander around at night, this place is not safe." The proprietress warned with a serious face.

"Okay, thank you, hostess." Ivan returned.

Early the next morning, Ivan asked the boy to take him to the slaughterhouse dock, but he couldn't find Liu Fu after some inquiry, so Ivan had to stay here first. One is to help Niko form a tribe, and the other is to find Liu Fu.

In order to cope with the pressures of life, Ivan not only sold the healing ointment and burst seeds given by Nedri, but also began to receive bounties to make ends meet.

In the tavern, which was mixed with the smell of wine and sweat and the unknown smell, Ivan finally inquired about the sailor's location after several twists and turns, because he had just returned, and Ivan quietly followed him to a tavern and quietly watched him drink.

At midnight, the sailor finally walked out of the tavern at the notice of the tavernkeeper's closure, and staggered into the dark alley, Ivan quietly following behind him. Suddenly, the sailor turned into a labyrinth of alleyways, and Ivan hurriedly followed.

Poofโ€”โ€”, a dissecting sound sounded in the empty alleyway, and the sailor's wine immediately woke up and said to the man dressed as a harpooner not far ahead: "Friend, it's none of my business, I don't see anything, I'll go." โ€

"I remember the way you looked." The harpoon-hand man said, his voice like the waves rolling.

"No... No way, Pike, aren't you dead? The monster has eaten you! The sailor asked, surprised.

"By the way, you were there at the time, and you cut my rope." Pike said, slowly approaching the sailor.

"It's not me, I didn't lie to you. I told them, and I said it wouldn't work. Back off! I told you to stand back! The sailor shouted to Pike, who approached.

Suddenly, Pike disappeared from his field of vision.

"What! What about people? The sailors grew more and more frightened.

He drew his jagged scimitar and slashed at the shadow hidden in the darkness.

"Hah! You water ghost, taste my knife! Ha, uh-huh, that's right, I've suffered it. Looking at Pike, who was cut down by him, the sailor said proudly.

"Get back to yourโ€”" The voice didn't fall.

"Poof-" Pike, who had fallen to the ground, was gone, leaving only a puddle of water.

Ivan clearly saw Pike suddenly appear behind the sailor, stabbing the smug sailor.

"Cough uh-" The sailor coughed up a puddle of blood and collapsed.

"You can cross out one on the list." Pike pulled a long slip out of his bosom and crossed out a name that came to mind.

He's coming back in place of the sea beast to take revenge!

"Ahh The sound of the harpoon gun recovery chain sounded, and the sailor was dragged into the water trail on the ground.

The sailor could never speak again, and lost his life forever like a sea beast slaughtering the docks.

Looking at the dead sailor Ivan, he secretly said that it was not good, took out the revolver and quietly stepped back.

"Oh, I know you, it's on the list." Pike put away the slip and walked towards Ivan.

Looking at the familiar face, Ivan was shocked inside, looking at Pike's unrecognizable appearance, Ivan could imagine his suffering.

Pike raised his bone blade and threw it at Ivan, who dodged the white shadow sideways.

Two shots were fired, two blood splattered, and Pike's fishbone in the chest was pierced, but Pike walked towards Ivan like a nobody. โ€

Suddenly, the familiar sound of the waves sounded, and Pike rushed several meters to Ivan's side, and Ivan only raised the knife in his right hand to resist Pike's strong blow.

A kick kicked off Pike followed by a magic bullet, and the violent explosion caused the firelight to light up the alley.

But this time, Pike did not recover as quickly as he was slashed by a knife, and slowly stood up and twisted his body like a fish to rush towards Ivan again, jumping high and holding the bone blade with both hands, and slashing down against a huge cross knife qi. Ivan had to take out the Dolan shield he had just bought these days and hold it tightly in front of him.

"Click-" Ivan was knocked out of the air, throwing the fragments in his hand, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, Ivan pulled out his knife and gun again.

Pike rushed forward again, and suddenly, a transparent pale green tentacle rolled towards Pike, who had no time to turn around and was grabbed out of his soul.

"Bang-" Another tentacle slammed down, shattering the beast-like soul and the hard stone slab.

Like a puppet with a broken string, Pike fell.

A stocky woman came to Ivan waving a huge golden idol and said, "Boy, I admire your courage, are you willing to accept the trial of Naga Capolos?" โ€

"Huh? Trials? Ivan asked, confused.

"I hope you can accept the trial of Naga Kapolos, Naga Kapolos needs someone like you with strong willpower, it can give you great strength, I hope you can join us." The woman said.

"Okay, can I bury him first?" Ivan asked, pointing to Pike's corpse.

"Of course." The woman replied.

After burying Pike, Ivan informed Niko of the incident and went to the tower-like priest.

"Can we start?" The tower-like priest asked.

"Yes, but this test won't be dangerous, right?" Ivan asked scaredly.

The answer to Ivan was the tentacles that had come out of the golden idol.

"All your life, we are the ones who move." Aloy whispered reverently.

In the deepest part of the ocean, four shimmering green eyes as big as the largest sea beasts the sailors had ever seen suddenly opened.

"Huh? The breath of the gods? It's kind of interesting. He closed his eyes again.
