(26) Angina pectoris
Chest paralysis in Chinese medicine refers to a disease characterized by chest pain, or even chest pain in the back, shortness of breath and inability to lie down. Mild cases only feel chest tightness and poor breathing, severe cases have chest pain, severe cases have heartache and back pain. This disease is equivalent to coronary atherosclerotic heart disease caused by angina pectoris in modern medicine.
The main symptoms are suffocation and pain in the precordial area, and even pain in the back of the left shoulder, throat, and inner left upper arm. Episodic or persistent, often accompanied by palpitations, shortness of breath, self-sweating, wheezing and not lying down. Chest tightness and chest pain generally last for a few seconds to dozens of minutes and are relieved by themselves, and in severe cases, the pain is severe, sweating and cold limbs, paleness, arrhythmia, etc., and even sudden death.
