(3) Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease refers to inflammation of the internal genitalia, including inflammation of the fallopian tubes, ovaries, paraconnective tissues, and pelvic peritoneum. It is divided into two categories: acute pelvic inflammatory disease and chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Massage is mainly indicated for chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.

Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is mostly caused by improper or delayed treatment of acute pelvic inflammatory disease, and is mostly caused by abortion, childbirth, gynaecological surgery and menstrual infection. The main symptoms are lower abdominal distension and pain, lumbosacral soreness, often aggravated during exertion, long-term standing, premenstrual and **, accompanied by anal distention, increased vaginal discharge, menstrual disorders, increased menstrual flow, dysmenorrhea, frequent urination, infertility, etc. In addition, systemic symptoms such as low-grade fever, fatigue, lack of energy, and malaise may occur.

(1) The patient takes the supine position, the surgeon is located on the right side, and the palm kneading method is used in the lower abdomen of the patient in a clockwise direction with the palm of the right hand, and the operation is repeated for 3~5 minutes, with the local skin warmth as the degree, see this figure (1).

(2) Immediately following the above method, the surgeon takes the end of the right finger as the focus point, presses and rubs the patient's Qihai, Guanyuan, Zhongji, and Yinling Spring acupoints, and repeats the operation for 3~5 minutes, as shown in this figure (2).

(3) In the prone position of the patient, the surgeon uses palm kneading on the patient's spine and both sides of the spine to repeatedly rub and push from top to bottom for 3~5 minutes, as shown in this figure (3).

(4) The surgeon rubs the patient's lumbosacral region with the palm of his right hand for 1~3 minutes, with the local skin slightly hot as the degree, see Figure (4).

2. Precautions

(1) In the acute attack of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, rest should be strengthened at the same time as the above treatment.

(2) Avoid sitting for a long time, avoid exertion, drink more water, and urinate more.

(3) Keep it hygienic and clean, and prohibit sexual intercourse during menstruation.

(4) At the same time as the above treatment, it can be combined with hot water bottle to compress the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region.
