Chapter Fifty-Seven: Ultron, Destroyed!
Ruins of Sokovia.
Ultron sat quietly on the edge of a cliff, with uprooted tree trunks behind him, tumbling earth and gravel beneath his feet, and a deep pit several kilometers wide in front of him, with a broken river and a parting half of the city in the distance.
A large hole had been cut in its chest, and it looked as if it had been cut open by a sharp weapon, judging by the long wound marks, it should be the clone that Steve had smashed with a shield at the broken bridge in the Sky City before.
An arm is broken, only one eye remains on the head, the chest is traumatized, and the core is exposed.
Ultron's appearance looked very miserable, and the slanting sun shone on it, pulling the shadow behind it for a long time.
This is its last doppelganger.
It doesn't have access to the internet, so all of its origins merge into the core of this doppelganger.
Once the clone is destroyed, it is officially destroyed.
Gazing at the sunset, Ultron was calm and peaceful.
"I thought Neil was going to come to me first." Ultron sensed something, and said suddenly without looking back.
The vision slowly fell from the sky.
"I set off a little before him."
Vision walked forward and sat down gently beside Ultron, his feet dangling from the cliff, turning his head to look at it.
"He's powerful, and he's weird, he's come out unscathed of humanity's strongest weapon."
Ultron's hoarse voice chuckled twice.
"He's the biggest variable."
Vision pondered for a moment and nodded, "Yes, I can see everyone, but I can't see him." β
Ultron didn't look back, just stared at the sunset, the dusk on the horizon and the white clouds, like a beautiful picture, before today, it had never thought that the earth would be so beautiful.
It wants to keep this beautiful scenery in its mind forever, even if the data is destroyed, it can still exist in its heart.
Vision also looked at Ultron quietly, pondered for a moment, and said, "You're scared." β
Ultron still didn't look back, just asked rhetorically in a sarcastic tone.
"Afraid of you?"
"Fear of destruction."
Vision paused: "You're the last." β
Hearing this, Ultron clenched the few fingers he had left, and turned his head to look at Vision: "You should be the last!" β
"Stark tried to find a rescuer, but he got a lackey."
Vision smiled self-deprecatingly and quipped, "It looks like both of us are his failures." β
"Hehehe......." Ultron chuckled softly, "I think so." β
"Humans are weird!"
Vision glanced at the town in the distance: "They think that order and chaos are diametrically opposed, and then try to control the uncontrollable. β
"But their decay is not without grace!"
Vision turned his head to look at Ultron again, and said with a faint smile: "I think you ignored this!" β
"They're in trouble."
"Yes." Vision answered, then paused, and continued: "But things are not beautiful because they last!" β
Ultron turned to look at Vision.
"It is an honor to be among them."
"You're incorrigibly naΓ―ve!" Ultron said in a gloomy voice.
Vision nodded, frowned and thought for a while, and said, "Actually...... I was born yesterday. β
Ultron was a little annoyed and almost pounced, but it held back.
"I'm waiting for Neil."
Vision cast a puzzled look.
"I'm friends with him, at least I think he's my friend." Ultron said.
"We were supposed to be friends too."
The two intelligent robot men did not speak again, but sat quietly on the edge of the cliff, looking at the sunset on the top of the mountain in the distance.
In a few moments, the sun had already set halfway, and only half of the ellipse was still exposed.
"So you're both in good spirits?"
Neil slowly descended from the sky with his mech's feet on his feet, his back to the daylight, his shadow covering the bodies of Ultron and Vision.
Ultron smiled faintly: "The scenery here is beautiful, I have never seen anything so beautiful." β
"No, you did, but you didn't pay attention."
Neil floated up to the two of them, and slowly sat down on the mech like them.
Ultron pondered for a moment: "Before, I didn't have the energy to pay attention to this. β
"Heh, you have the energy to kill people and plan your evil plan to destroy the world, but you don't have the energy to look at the world you want to destroy?" Neil scoffed.
Hearing this, Ultron shook his head: "Since I was born, my greatest wish has been to take a good look at the world with my eyes like a person, but compared to only looking at it, I want to keep looking at it freely." β
"So now that you see it, how do you feel?" Neil asked.
Ultron reached out and touched his face, looked down at his mutilated palm, and sighed, "I was thinking that if I had known your abilities at the beginning, I would have come straight here, from morning to night." β
"Neil, you are the biggest variable in the world, and no one could have predicted your existence."
Neil raised his hand, and the hideous and handsome energy pistol was held in his hand, and the transparent body of the gun could even be seen that the chamber of the gun had begun to slowly grow dark red vortices, which was the color of Neil's magic.
"Are these your last words?"
Neil has completely lost interest in Ultron, and there is no place for this guy's spirit to torture.
In the face of the imminent, physical death, Ultron showed that it knew that what he did was unforgivable for Neil, so it would have already sentenced itself to death.
"I have one last question."
Ultron groaned, looked at Neil seriously, and asked curiously and suspiciously, "I've said countless times that we're alike, we're the same kind of people, I'm sure of that." β
"I know you, so I'm more curious about your actions. Why do you choose to protect humanity, you are so powerful, with this kind of character, you should be a rebellious destroyer. β
Neil was silent, he slowly lowered his gun, and thought for a long time.
"I can tell that you don't have much affection for human beings, or even everything around you, which is a common problem for people like us! You are new to this planet, why would you trust this greedy race? Tronomic Neil didn't answer, and continued to ask.
"What did you experience as an antisocial personality?"
Why trust? Hehe, it's simple, just because Neil himself is human!
After half a ring, Neil looked at Ultron indifferently.
"It's none of your business."
"Haha...... I didn't expect you to tell me! Ultron smiled hoarsely, and his laughter looked very relieved.
Bang!!!
Neil raised his hand and fired a shot, and the dark red energy bullet blew up the last clone of Ultron.
Floating lightly to the pile of last broken iron, he reached out and picked up Ultron's dim head, silent, not knowing what he was thinking.
Vision on the side looked at him deeply, then at Ultron's corpse, got up and flew away.
Ultron, destroy it!
