Chapter 43: Rod's Acting Skills
Unbeknownst to LeBlanc and Wayne, this late-night battle was clearly seen by Rod.
Why is Rhodes here?
The answer is simple, swagger and forcibly stealth into it.
Others don't know who Draven is, but doesn't Rhodes know?
Most people subconsciously think too much about Draven when they face him, and see his pompous performance as a trick - but Rod knows better than anyone that this guy is an idiot.
So, when Draven closed the team in the evening, Rhodes forcibly cloaked and then followed the crowd into the temporary stronghold of Noxus, and then found a relatively quiet place to hide.
Aside from Qiangyin, Rhodes didn't use any spells, instead choosing to hide in the statue in the courtyard - a way to get back to basics unexpectedly fooled everyone.
So, Rode, who was secretly observing, watched as LeBlanc grabbed Wayne, his face full of confusion.
The gap between the two sides is a bit big......
I have to say, the illusion mage is really useful when he abuses vegetables!
Should I help Wayne?
But...... It seems that LeBlanc is the kind of mage he is not good at dealing with.
Forget it, no matter how much.
Rhodes felt that he had to make a move, and if everything died down, and Noxus even captured a Wayne, how could he take further action against Zaun?
Without further action, how could Rhodes completely pull Noxus into the water?
What's more, he stepped on it here in advance, and he had been in ambush for so long, as long as he performed properly, LeBlanc might not be able to defeat - or even be injured!
β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦
What Rod didn't know was that LeBlanc, like himself, was also a little entangled.
The Night Hunter was so powerful that she realized that she was such a weak chicken, and when LeBlanc easily caught Wayne, the question she now had to face was what to do with this guy.
It is impossible to let go, and it is even more impossible to kill - there is no point in blindly provoking Demacia at such a time, especially since it is said that Gavin IV has successfully returned home......
Considering that Noxus is far weaker than it seems, LeBlanc prefers to do something in the shadows rather than jump out in the open.
For example, LeBlanc is well aware that the current king of Demacia, Gavin III, seems to have some feelings of resentment against his son's radicalism, and Svein's next plan is to take advantage of this sentiment - to create misunderstandings, provoke conflicts, and make Demacians do something irreparable under impulse.
Noxus is about strength, not brute force!
A fool like the last reckless attack on Ionia is enough to experience once!
With these considerations in mind, LeBlanc felt it was a good decision to put Wayne on to stay as a bargaining chip.
However, just as she pondered what kind of shackles she could use to trap the Night Hunter, a strange mage appeared in the courtyard.
LeBlanc's ethereal appearance made LeBlanc raise her vigilance for the first time, and this appearance that seemed to be there in the first place explained the skill of this spellcaster, which LeBlanc could not do on his own.
In other words, he may be facing an extraordinarily powerful mage.
Then the next moment, a bright light appeared in front of LeBlanc, and the mysterious mage paused, and the staff that looked like a broom in his hand was paused, and then a bright pale blue emblem lit up on the ground.
This emblem is familiar to both Wayne and LeBlanc.
Shield Guard statue and two-winged sword, the national emblem of Demacia.
A moment of brilliance revealed the mage's appearance - the dark blue robe was unpretentious, and the face under the hood was not clear, but looking at his slightly rickety figure and gray hair, it seemed that he was not a young fellow.
I saw that when the mage raised his hand, a visible light impact directly attacked LeBlalan, and LeBlanc chose to dodge for the sake of prudence.
Activating the Trail Step, LeBlanc vanished in place, and then appeared behind the mysterious mage - but before LeBlanc's mana shackles could strike, the mage waved his hand again, and a blast of light magic struck again.
A tough guy.
Like Rod's penchant for large-scale mana outpouring, LeBlanc has her own penchant for fightingβin her opinion, a magician's combat should be a subtle spell control and an uncanny art of deception, as it gives her the most her favorite intelligence.
Playing with the opponent in the palm of his hand and finally showing off his death is LeBlalan's greatest enjoyment.
But this damn guy in front of him has relied on his own to live a few more years, and his mana is more and squandered unscrupulously, which is absolutely intolerable in LeBlanc's opinion!
Once again, LeBlanc was forced back by the spell, and LeBlanc felt that he should steal the rhythm of the battle - if he fought until dawn, it would be a bad thing!
Thinking of this, LeBlanc split in two in place.
Unlike Rod's seemingly sluggish and rigid mirroring technique, LeBlanc's doppelganger level can be described as perfect - Rod realized immediately that he could not tell which one was the main body.
It's even quite possible that both are ontologies!
And the next moment, the two LeBlanas began to rapidly cross the displacement, which made Rod completely unable to distinguish the situation.
Two LeBlanches attacked at the same time, one left and one right.
Two golden emblems flew out from the tip of the LeBlanc staff, locking onto Rod.
Rod's magic spell was a mess, so he couldn't figure out the specific spell structure model of the emblem in the first place, and he couldn't figure out what it did - but he knew very well that he couldn't get touched by it!
Hell knows what happens to this thing.
So, the next moment, Rod simply disappeared in place.
The two emblems lost their purpose and dissipated into the air, while Rhodes appeared in the other corner of the courtyard, beside Wayne.
Let's save this guy first.
LeBlanc also instantly realized what Rod meant, and she seemed to want to turn around and control Rode.
By the time LeBlan's mark struck again, Rhodes had already created a diamond-shaped ice shield and prepared his defenses.
The mark melted the ice shield (or better yet, annihilated), but it didn't affect Rod's rescue - with the blade in hand, he easily broke Wayne's shackles.
But to Rod's surprise, after he saved Wayne, he was greeted by a holy silver arrow.
Rhodes dodged subconsciously, but was still hit in the arm by this arrow from Wayne.
What's going on?!
ββββββββ
In terms of combat effectiveness, Wayne is not LeBlanc's opponent, but in fact, there is not such a disparity.
The main reason for the instant kill effect was the illusion - LeBlanc's illusion deceived Vayne, so that she did not have an effective defense in time, and she was caught in an instant.
As for the return of Gavin IV, including the attitude towards the mage, this is only an introduction, which will not be dealt with until the third volume.
