Chapter 35: The Five Religions of Mongolia (I)

After the Song army replied to the capital, Kublai Khan held a grand ceremony.

The first is the result of this attack on the Song Dynasty, which was brought out by Emperor Lizong of the Song Dynasty and the surrendered Lin'an Imperial Court. Song Duzong was okay, and the Mongols, from the perspective of Mongolia, believed that he was not the culprit of the war between Mongolia and Song. So he wasn't dug out of the ground.

The surrendered Wenchenwu carried Song Lizong's coffin in front, Song Lizong's daughter-in-law and grandson followed behind the coffin, and then the captured Song Guozong's family. As the long procession passed through the wide streets of the capital, the onlookers pointed and judged.

These people went to the Mongol temple and formally surrendered to the Mongol Great Khan Kublai Khan. Song Lizong was also carried out of the coffin and carried to 'kneel' for the Great Khan Kublai Khan. In order to prevent embalming, Song Lizong's body was poured with mercury, and although it was not lifelike at this time, at least it had not yet reached the level of decay.

After this toss, Kublai Khan canonized the surrendered little emperor as the Marquis of Shuntian. The other surrendered civil and military forces had their own canonizations. After that, the Marquis of Shuntian 'went to the table' to the Mongol Great Khan, thinking that it was a tyrant in Lin'an, Jiangnan, and asked the Mongol Great Khan to clean up this gang of thieves.

Kublai Khan's words are beautiful, the traitors in Jiangnan will definitely be killed, and they will dominate the world when the time comes. In fact, this means that where does he have the heart to manage Zhao Jiaren in Jiangnan, if he has the ability, he would have solved Zhao Jiaren a long time ago.

It's over when you go through the process. Song Lizong was ordered to bury the monks, and then Mongolia should do what to do. The person responsible for the burial of Song Lizong was originally a monk from Western Xia. Western Xia was a long-time enemy of the Great Song Dynasty, but was wiped out by the Mongols earlier than the Great Song Dynasty. Those monks knew each other very well, and they all enthusiastically defected to my Great Mongolian banner. And my Greater Mongolia prefers Tibetan Buddhism, and they have joined the Tibetan Buddhism sect.

Kublai Khan handed over the work to these Tibetan Buddhist monks, who felt very respected, and according to the rules, they first recited the scriptures to Song Lizong. Yang Lian Zhenjia, who was the leader, was arranging the place for chanting, and the monk outside hurriedly came in and said, "Master, the body of Song Lizong is extremely heavy. I don't know what's wrong with it. ”

"How heavy?" Yang Lian Zhenjia asked casually. He didn't think it was too much trouble, probably because the monks below wanted to be lazy.

"At least two hundred and forty or fifty pounds." The monks below hurriedly said.

"Nonsense!" Yang Lian said angrily. In the Song Dynasty, no matter how fat a man was during his lifetime, it was 200 catties, and it was impossible to have 245 catties after death.

"Master, that's really the case!" The monk below hurriedly explained.

Yang Lian really didn't believe it, and went out to lift it with everyone, but it turned out to be true. After careful inquiry, he learned that there was mercury in the corpse, and Yang Lian Zhenjia's mind was greatly moved. Mercury is not a bargain, and monks are not rich monks. The number of monks in the capital is not particularly large, but they are all very famous monks. Those pilgrims have such a famous monk to ask to see, where will they go to a poor monk like Yang Lian Zhenjia.

Thinking of this, Yang Lian Zhenjia called his monks together to discuss. As soon as they heard that there were worldly things to be earned, these monks were overjoyed. They threw themselves off the head of Song Lizong's corpse, hung the corpse upside down, and the mercury was heavy, and it flowed out of the corpse and into the basin under the corpse.

It will take seven days to exceed, and the corpse cannot be placed in the open air. Just gave these thieves a chance. Three days later, the mercury ran out, and Song Lizong's body returned to its normal corpse weight. Yang Lian Zhenjia, who was about to get the mercury out of Song Lizong's skull and spliced the corpse, looked at the huge head and his heart moved.

Tibetan Buddhism is very keen to use human instruments, and there is a ritual vessel called the Gabala bowl. This thing is incredible, and it is also a very precious ritual weapon in Tibetan Buddhism. The raw material of this thing is a human skull.

Tantric practitioners perform initiation ceremonies by filling the pot with holy water and wine in the vessel, which the eminent monk sprinkles on the practitioner's head and allows him to drink before conferring tantric teachings.

The Gabala Bowl (Topa) is a practice offering for many Vajrayana practitioners, and is usually held in the left hand of the Buddha-figure Void Protector. The bowl is used to hold nectar, which is usually represented by wine by practitioners, and the expression in thangkas is often red blood. In general, practitioners use the toba as an offering vessel, filled with white or red wine, etc., which is used to worship the Buddha-figure or protect the Dharma, and is also used for self-offering in the practice of the Dharma.

But the great monks are different, they really have to use human blood to do it. Killing is never allowed in Mahayana Buddhism, and it would have been forbidden in the cultured Han dynasty. But Mongolia really recognizes and cares about Tibetan Buddhism. To kill someone as a sacrifice, you have to be serious and pious.

Moreover, Yang Lian Zhenjia is still from Western Xia, and there are some more civilized things in this place, that is, the method of disgust and victory

In ancient times, people believed that they could subdue the people and things they wanted to subdue by using the method of aversion to victory. The "disgust" of the method of disgust is pronounced as ya, according to the explanation of "Shuowen Jiezi": disgusting, įŽŪäđŸ, making people press.

The common people are commonly known as the next town thing. The so-called town objects are those clay figurines, wooden figures, bows and arrows, scissors, paper figurines, and other things that craftsmen secretly put in other people's houses and utensils that are said to bring bad luck. There are many folk stories about craftsmen who are tired of winning with things.

This thing is more famous for the curse in the court during the Han Dynasty, because many people died in the court of the Han Dynasty, and many people were involved outside. The famous one in it is probably the nail-headed seven-arrow book of the Lu Zhudao people in "The Romance of the Gods".

This Yang Lian Zhenjia is a mixture of Han and Tibetan, and he ordered someone to saw off the skull of Song Lizong, paint and inlay it with silver. It was made into a Gabala bowl. It has a lid on it and a seat under it, which is triangular and decorated with patterns representing flames. The cranial apparatus has the nectar of the offering, or represents all the wisdom of merit.

After doing this, Song Lizong's excesses had ended, and the body was put into the coffin for burial. No one really cares about such a 'sinner'. Half a month after the burial, Yang Lian Zhenjia held a puja in the temple where he was.

On the platform of the puja are various offerings, such as nectar, nectar pills, seven treasures, Tibetan incense, barley wine, ghee, etc., and the national teachers of Tibetan Buddhism are invited. As soon as he saw the Dharma weapon on the platform, he asked curiously, "Yang Lian Zhenga, which Rinpoche's Gabala bowl is this?" ”

Yang Lian Zhenga smiled slightly, "It's not Rinpoche, it's better than Rinpoche." This is a gift I want to give to the national teacher. ”
