Chapter 18: The Vampire Church
On the side of Dead Leaf is a graveyard.
The outlying towns of this era rarely placed cemeteries too far away, similar to the tombs in the East, where cemeteries were concentrated near gathering places. Originally, other people who passed by the cemetery would not pay so much attention, but most of the wanderers acted as the eyes and ears of the adventurer team, and their natural observation skills were much stronger. The sophisticated wanderer glanced at some of the graves in the cemetery, and the dirt looked like they were freshly turned.
"It should have been a few days ago."
The ranger picked up a handful of dirt and looked at it, and pulled out the weeds that were originally growing on the grave, and said with a solemn expression: "At most, seven days ago, someone dug up these graves, and the tombstones were all re-erected later. β
Someone moved the grave?
This discovery made the expressions of everyone else present solemn, and the caster, who had been silent from beginning to end, looked around, then cast a spell similar to detection, and then said, "It wasn't the necromancer's doing. There is no necromantic aura in the vicinity, and the cemetery here has been blessed by the priest and does not automatically give birth to the undead. β
The paladin's expression was a little angry, and he said in a deep voice, "Who could have done that?" It is a grave sin to blaspheme the dead! β
The world still respects the dead.
Generally, after being buried in the earth, you should not be disturbed, and most of the laws strictly prohibit this kind of behavior in front of you.
"Just open it and see!" The wanderer said with a solemn expression.
The four people present glanced at each other when they heard this, and the paladin's expression was a little hesitant, but in the end they still nodded.
There are eccentricities in the cemetery.
Soon, they dug up one of the turned graves, and then they found that the coffin inside the tomb was empty.
"Dark creatures."
The Ranger sniffed the inside and said in a deep voice, "This disgusting aura is definitely a dark creature. My memory of their hatred is clear! β
The wanderer observed the grave and said slowly, "It could be a vampire." β
"Maybe it's also infiltrated by the vampire church."
β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦
Sauron didn't know the situation at the cemetery.
But it was much easier for him to find the vampires than these people, as the sky grew dark. He quietly entered the tavern.
The inside of the tavern seems to be very lively.
Next to the bar there was a rather down-and-out looking troubadour, and although troubadours were also one of the professions, many of them didn't mix well because the profession was too much of a panacea. Troubadours rarely have strong professions, and it is a complete accident like the Poets of Hell, and many more troubadours are like the ones in front of them, performing to please others in exchange for some payment. Occasionally, a good-looking troubadour can also hook up with some noblewomen so that they can earn a lot of extra money.
Third-rate spell-casting ability, third-rate combat ability, third-rate thief skill.
Together, these are troubadours.
There have also been some powerful troubadours at one time. But if this profession wants to be extremely strong, the necessary support is a strong enough attribute, and even Sauron's current attributes may not be enough to support a troubadour who is strong in all aspects. The troubadours who were able to do this were basically those who had special adventures or were helped by the gods. In the past, there was a belief that people had to have all of their initial stats at 18 to become a top-level troubadour.
If the initial attribute is so strong, it is a first-class spellcaster, a first-class warrior. and first-class thieves.
It's a pity that there are too few such people.
And no matter what class you advance, it is the top, you must know that Sauron's initial attributes are not so high.
The troubadour tells a story in a way unique to the Northlands, and the main character of the story is called Sauron. That's right, he's talking about Sauron's great battle with the pirate king Asrod. The largest naval battle on the south coast in decades is spreading in all directions at breakneck speed, and more and more ordinary people are hearing about it.
But.
The troubadour's story had nothing to do with the course of the battle, which he described as more like a duel between nobles.
Sauron and Asrod fought for three hundred rounds.
In the end, the even more evil decapitator, Sauron, slew the pirate king Asrod. And because of this, he pleases the cruel goddess of the sea.
That's kind of the story.
The story focuses on the battle between Sauron and Asrod, how the two sides fought back and forth, and how the decapitator, Sauron, sold a flaw and killed another pirate king.
The troubadour's stories are mostly unreliable. However, this artistic expression undoubtedly attracts the attention of others.
Sauron was slightly stunned.
It's really a little unaccustomed to becoming the protagonist of the story, especially when the other party says that his strength is weaker than Asrod, and he needs to defeat the other party with stratagems in the end.
Sauron's goal soon emerged.
As the sky grew dark, two somewhat sneaky figures walked out.
He quietly got up and fled into the shadows, and then followed them, the two newborn vampire minions not spotting him, nor could they have found Sauron.
They crossed the street and came to a rather luxurious mansion.
Aristocrat!
The ruler of Dead Leaf appears to be a lord whose name Sauron doesn't remember.
The two vampires entered through the back door, and it was inconvenient for Sauron to follow them directly, so he could only wait for them to enter, and quietly rummaged through the courtyard.
The breath of dark creatures.
As soon as Sauron entered it, he felt the breath of a dark creature, and there didn't seem to be many living people in this mansion.
"Sure enough, there's a problem here."
He sneaked into it with a stern expression, and said to himself: "No wonder the vampires are lurking here but no one has found out, it seems that the nobles who rule here have been corrupted by them." β
There are high-ranking nobles who hide the truth, and even if there are signs of the spread of vampires, they can be covered up for the time being.
The Northlands are witches' territory.
Such a remote place belonged to the blind spot of their management, and the power of the temple was also quite weak.
"They must be destroyed!"
Sauron frowned and listened to the movement for a moment, and then quietly approached the hall, the power of the vampire god son could not be further expanded, and this matter must be reported to the SΓΉ Witch Council.
They probably don't want a lot of vampires in their area!
Smack.
Very slight footsteps.
Just as Sauron entered the mansion with his front foot, another figure came in on his heels, but the figure that followed was a bit peculiar because his eyes were bandaged.
His eye sockets were slightly sunken, as if there were no two eyeballs in them!
