Chapter 20: Docking
"That's right." Urs admitted, "Listen to you...... Is there anything wrong with this? β
"It's not a problem." Captain Aiden shrugged, "Just to give you a piece of advice, I'll send you to a place called the town of Rohr when this ship docks on that island." β
"I've heard of that town." Urs nodded, thinking to himself that he knew of the only resting spot on the Isle of Misty that could be called a safe area.
Located on the eastern shore of Misty Island, the town of Rolle is built on the outermost part of the fog, and the center of the island is permeated with a thick fog that hovers some wandering monsters.
The young man guessed that Captain Aiden might have to remind his group about that.
And the captain's next words were exactly as he expected: "That town has a relatively well-established operating system, it doesn't have many strict laws, but there are still basic rules, at least to provide a safe place for your team to live...... But you should understand that the reason why Misty Island is called Misty Island must have a reason why it is called this name, and that reason is that Misty Island is shrouded in a thick fog that does not disperse all year round. β
"It sounds like the desert of the Kasha region, a kind of analogy in nature." Urs guessed he would have said, "When you venture into the desert without being fully prepared, you may end up with a skeleton in the sand." β
"And we can replace the 'desert' in this analogy with 'dense fog.'" Captain Aiden looked at the young man and smiled back at the latter's comprehension, "The fog on the Misty Isle is as unforgiving as the desert of Kasha, so I don't know what you're going to do on that island, but I advise you to be careful of the fog on the island...... Especially some of the monsters that hovered in the thick fog. β
"What kind of monster?" Urs brought the greatsword in his hand to his shoulder, and continued to ask for caution.
"Various. When you get out of town, the vicious creatures will be looking for an opportunity to attack you from behind the thick fog. The captain continued, "For specific information, you can inquire further with the residents of the island, there is a seafood tavern called Seven-clawed Octopus in that town, which is considered a sea of local information." β
"Then I'll keep an eye out for the advice and advice." Urs nodded to the captain named Aiden again, "Thank you for your kindness, Captain. β
"You're welcome, Mr. Captain." The captain waved his hand, keeping a smile on his face, and then turned to direct the crew on deck to continue the clean-up after the battle.
Urs watched Captain Aiden's back walk away, looked up at the bright moon in the night sky, and thought that the suggestions made by the kind captain were indeed worthy of believing and paying attention.
As for Misty Island, he had spent some time in that place in his previous life, and the dense fog on that island was even more terrifying than the captain had described, and there were two important places in the depths of the fog that were worth mentioning.
One of them is the Burning Corpse Forest - that strange place is located a little southwest of the center of the island, and there is a powerful monster boss that can be considered as a matter of opportunity with the current team configuration of young people.
The other place, Limestone Peak, was the highest area on the Misty Island, and it was the place where the group had to go for the rest of their journey, as Urs knew that the Grey Court Sage whom Victado had arranged for everyone to find was living in seclusion.
That's what his memories of the previous life told him.

A few hours later, the sky dawned, and the night ended.
Following the established course, the Sword Sails sent a group of adventurers on board, including the members of the Thorn Squad, to the town of Rohr on the shore of Misty Island. The town on the shore of the island is full of early morning life, and the locals' fishing boats go out to sea from the contoured natural harbour when the sun rises, but the townspeople are not only fishermen, but also skilled craftsmen who run their own shops on the streets of the town, and the seafood tavern called "Seven-clawed Octopus" is directly facing the direction of the pier, so that everyone can see the stone monument of the tavern standing prominently not far from the pier.
After half a night of fighting, the young team happened to need to find a suitable place to rest and adjust......
Meanwhile, the adventurers of the Thorn Squad disembark from the island - the scene shifts to another unknown place, where three different pairs of eyes are looking down on the town in the morning light through the eyes of a seagull whose vision is projected on the smooth curved surface of a crystal ball by some magical force.
The crystal ball sits in the center of a triangular stand propped up on a round table, surrounded by lush vegetation, brick corridors and stone pavilions, natural and artificial objects that gracefully decorate the surroundings into an elegant courtyard - nothing but a gray courtyard, the color of which is not only a prefix to the name, but also an explanation of the facts from an objective point of view.
For the courtyard was indeed a gray picture, and the river of time was relatively static in this strange space, and if the black-haired young man were here, he would immediately find three colored creatures at the ends of the round table where the crystal ball was placed.
Color, which represents the privilege of the three creatures to move in a static space, in which a woman sitting alone on a chair appears to be the owner of the courtyard.
She elegantly rested her hands on the armrests of the seat, her long light gray hair and fair skin, and a set of jet-black shawl dresses almost flawlessly blended into the background of the entire courtyard, and her beautiful face showed a shallow smile, looking like a girl about seventeen years old, but she could exude a nobility that made people subconsciously feel awe of her from the inside out.
Two other colored creatures stood in front of her across the round table between themβa black cat with golden-green eyes lying quietly on the shoulders of a seven-foot-tall steel golem that had no so-called command, and its autonomous consciousness then drove its constructed body to bow slightly to the girl in a black dress with long gray hair.
And then it spokeβ
"Destiny is as you predicted, Mentor." The machine's throat was running in a hard, deep voice, "The adventure party recommended by Victor has landed on the island, and they are now arriving at the docks in the town of Rohr. β
The freedom of speech proves that it has an independent and autonomous soul.
Yes, this suggests that "Golem" is probably a misnomer, and we should probably call it "Mechanic" correctly.
The gray-haired girl sat quietly on a chair at the round table, her gentle eyes moving from the curved surface of the crystal ball to the head of the constructed creature, and its two jeweled eyes that shimmered red through its helmet-like face.
"Go and pick them up, Abel." Afterwards, the gray-haired maiden, who was revered as a mentor by the Organists, commanded it, "Wait for them on the mountain path of the limestone peak, and then bring them to me." β
"As you wish, my mentor."
The man with the black cat on his shoulder respectfully agreed to her.
