Chapter 20: The Blotted Bookstore (Part II)

"Oh, you're here, that's great." Mrs. Weasley's breath was rapid, and she kept running through her hair, exactly like Hermione. "We'll see her in a moment, Arthur, do you see if my hair is blown up?"

"You've asked me three times...... Honestly, I'm going to be jealous, Molly. Mr. Weasley said. And to be honest, your tousled hair isn't a hairstyle. ”

Gradually, the number of people in front finally began to decrease. They saw the guy named Gilderoy Lockhart from afar. He sat behind the table, surrounded by large photographs of his handsome faces, all blinking at the crowd, revealing their white, dazzling teeth.

He wore a sky-blue robe with a magnificent pattern, which matched his blue eyes. The peaked wizard's hat was playfully worn over that curly hair. He had just signed a thick hardcover book, smiled and handed it to a chubby middle-aged woman in front of him, who looked like she was about to faint with excitement.

"Let me see, is he handsome?" Hermione jumped on tiptoe behind Brandi excitedly, "Stupid, lower your head!" You and Harry got in my way! ”

This sentence made Lockhart hear, or he was surprised that there was a little girl with a crisp voice hidden in a group of middle-aged aunts. He looked up, shook his hair in what thought he had, and looked over to Brandy. He was slightly disappointed when he saw Hermione's appearance, but he saw Harry again. He stared at Harry for a moment, then suddenly bounced out of his seat.

"Isn't this Harry Potter?"

He rushed forward and dragged Harry out of their side, under Brandi's blank gaze, and pulled him to the front for a brutal onlooker. It must have been a shame, compared to the glamorous Lockhart, whose robes were covered in dust and soot, and the unkempt Harry looked like he had just been released from Azkaban. As the short photographer next to him pressed the shutter repeatedly, Brandi saw that Harry's face was as red as a monkey's ass.

"Oh! Good laugh Harry. "Lockhart is constantly changing his appearance under the camera, and every time he takes a photo, he will show exactly eight big white teeth." Your teeth are white, and the two of us will make headlines. ”

Ron leaned over to Brandi, puzzled. "Where could he tell Harry was laughing?"

“…… God knows. Brandi snickered as Harry shook his desperate gaze for help. That's when I realized that it took a good tooth to get to the headlines of the Daily Prophet. ”

"You two be quiet!" Hermione turned her head with a bad face, and at some point, she had already run in front of Brandy. She pulled out a small pink notebook and looked at Lockhart on the stage, not knowing what she was memorizing.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Lockhart said loudly, waving his hand to silence everyone, and his other hand still wrapped around the loveless Harry. "What a memorable occasion, and here I would like to take this wonderful occasion to announce a small thing about Harry and his companions, which I had not said until then."

Everyone was silent, and Hermione suddenly covered her mouth in excitement as if she had thought of something.

"Young Harry came to the bookstore this time just to buy my autobiography, which he held in high esteem, and it wasn't a problem — I would give him all the books I had written for free — but he obviously didn't know."

He bought a pass and shoved Harry, almost slapping Harry to the ground.

"He'll be excited to find out soon that he and his adorable classmates will get a real me~ I'm so proud to announce that this September, I'll be a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!"

The crowd erupted in shouts and cheers...... Brandi watched worriedly as Harry staggered off the platform with a stack of books, looking like his soul had flown away.

"Hey, are you alright......" Brandi patted him on the shoulder.

“…… I feel like I'm missing something important in my life. Harry shook his head, he was just as chattering as Luna. He came to the wall, where Ginny was standing by her new cauldron. He glanced at Ginny, then put the stack of books into the cauldron. "Here's what you're ...... I made an appointment with Ron. I'll buy it myself—"

Brandi looked at Ron and saw that he looked relieved. "That's what you told Harry?"

"Huh? No...... I just asked him to take care of Ginny a little more. He winked at Brandi and smiled incomprehensibly. It looks like it works well, doesn't it, you see Ginny's face burning~ If they really ...... You can—"

At this moment, a voice full of malice and mockery came from behind the two people. It was so familiar, so familiar that I wanted to reach out and beat him. Malfoy stood behind them, that undisguised sneer on his face.

"Did you see how stupid he was, Harry Potter," he said, "and tomorrow's Daily Prophet headline - Gilderoy Lockhart's kind condolences to Mr. Potter the monkey-butt?" What do you guys think of this title~"

"Don't talk nonsense, he didn't do it voluntarily!" Ginny glared at Malfoy fiercely, which was surprising, she had never uttered a full sentence out loud in front of Harry. Brandi looked at her in surprise and said to Ron, "I think your sister must be another Gryffindor." She's so brave! ”

"Of course," Ron looked at Malfoy in disgust, then patted his chest proudly. "That's my sister!"

"Ouch~ Potter, she's your girlfriend?" Malfoy pitched in surprise. "Redheaded, freckles, tattered second-hand books...... Are you going to be a brother-in-law for Weasley, a poor bastard? Then you'll have to be careful, Potter, their family is so poor that they can't even afford potatoes. Don't be fooled by Kaizi......"

"You (beep~~~~~) shut up!" Ron's face flushed, and he burst into a foul mouth, reaching out to punch Malfoy. Brandi and Harry hurriedly stopped him from behind. At this point, Mr. Weasley squeezed over with Fred and George, Hermione and her parents followed, and Hermione was smiling happily while holding the book that was exactly the same as Harry's. But when she saw the scene in front of her, she immediately turned into horror.

"Ron! Don't make trouble! Mr. Weasley hurriedly pulled his reckless son and was about to leave. It's a bookstore, it's public! Ignore him, let's go-"

"Oh? Isn't this Arthur? ”

Mr. Weasley stopped.

"Lucius."

It was Mr. Malfoy, with one hand on Draco's shoulder, a sneer as bright as Draco's on his face.

"I've heard you've been quite busy lately, man, working overtime every day," Mr. Malfoy said in a sleek tone, and his voice was as sloppy as his son's. "So many plagiarisms...... Tsk, hard work. I think overtime pay shouldn't be too small......"

He reached into Ginny's cauldron and pulled a tattered copy of the Standard Spell from the middle of the new, shiny Lockhart set. Then he pretentiously flipped it open and looked at it, as if he were stunned.

"Yo~ The colleagues of the Ministry of Magic have gone too far...... It looks like you're still so down, my God, I'm starting to pity you. What the hell are you going to do to feed your family......"

His pale eyes rolled as his contemptuous gaze swept over Hermione and Brandi, and then landed on the Grangers, who were watching him fearfully not far away. "Oh, look at this, I think I get it. You don't think you're making a living for those tricks—those mud ......."

He couldn't finish his sentence when there was a loud bang. Mr. Weasley lunged at Mr. Malfoy, and they slammed headfirst into the bookshelf, scuffling together. Heavy spell books fell on their heads. The crowd erupted in exclamation, and everyone stepped back, leaving only Brandi and Mrs. Weasley, who were cheering on the side, and Mrs. Weasley, screaming to stop her.

Then, a loud voice drowned out all the voices: "Let one, everyone, let one go." Let me take care of ......"

Hagrid strode over with a book all over the floor, and with a slight force of his hand, he pulled the two apart from the fierce hand-to-hand fight. Mr. Weasley's lips were bleeding, and Mr. Malfoy's eyes were bruised, and he was still clutching the Charms textbook in his hand, and the crumbling cover was completely torn off. He shoved the book into Ginny's cauldron, and the intact eye gleamed with a vicious light.

"Oh, little girl—hold your book—it's the best thing your wizarding scum father can give you...... Let's go, Draco, what a bad deal—"

He broke free of Hagrid's arm, waved at Draco, and rushed out of the store panting.

"This is really terrible, is your wizard's method of dealing with contradictions also fighting?"

As they left the bookstore and walked down the street, the Granger couples were still in shock. They were pulling Brandi and Hermione to the end, muttering to them to stay safe at school and not fight with other people. Mrs. Weasley, on the other hand, was furious...... Although the clerks at the Blotted Bookstore did not dare to claim compensation from Hagrid's deterrent, it was at least a very humiliating thing in the mind of Mrs. Weasley, who had never been able to rub sand in her eyes. What's more-

"Look at the good things you've done! Arthur – What would Gilderoy think? ”

Seeing Molly like a lioness, Mr. Weasley wisely shut his mouth.

By the time they returned to the Leaky Cauldron, they had calmed down. Brandi and the others said goodbye to the Granger family, who were going back to the streets of London. Hermione once again babbled about the dangers of Manson Manor, and it wasn't until Brandi had to promise that she would find someone to accompany him, that she nodded in satisfaction, took her parents' hands and left.

"It's unforgivable, that Malfoy's dad should dare to humiliate Ginny and Hermione's family like that!"

Back at the Burrow, Harry volunteered to help Ginny carry her things, and Brandi went to Ron's bedroom to hear Ron whining. "He actually said that Ginny was fishing for Kaizi! And said you are mud ......."

"Mud what?" Brandi asked curiously, but Ron stopped talking.

"No, that's too insulting for me to say. You just have to remember that if anyone dares to say this syllable to you next time, they will beat him to death! ”

…………

"Knock knock~"

There was a faint knock on Ron's bedroom door. Ginny's voice came from outside the door.

"Brandi, your spell book is still in my cauldron......"

"It's okay, you just throw it in my box, I probably won't look at it even a glance this summer." Brandi waved his hand and said casually.

There was an 'oh' sound outside the door, followed by the sound of footsteps. Ginny left there.
