Chapter 58: Transfiguration Notes (Part II)
"What the hell are you ......guys," Padma, the only one who didn't know what was going on, couldn't control the indifferent expression on her face anymore, she opened her mouth slightly, and anyone could see her surprise and puzzlement. What the hell is going on? β
"Let Parvati explain it to you later, now we need to figure out what this Oliver is trying to do." Hermione took down the problematic loose leaf from the seven notebooks and laid them out neatly, carefully examining them. "I don't know if you've noticed, these seven pieces of paper weren't written down at the same time, you look at this-"
She picked up the seventh-grade page, which was slightly different, pale pink in color. "This paper is the most special one in it, it is even different in style and color from several other note-taking papers. In other words, it is not surprising that the above comment should have been added at the latest. Judging from the content of the entire seven messages, the first to the fifth are more like a complete message, and the sixth is just Oliver's own words, but I don't know what happened to Oliver after that, after completing her agreement with the pioneer, she hastily added this piece of paper - in order to tell us the whereabouts of one of the keys. Is it because she got the relationship of the third seal of Myrtle? β
"I guess it's not that simple," Brandi folded his arms, his brow furrowed. "If the key she was talking about was the card Hermione you had in your hand, according to Parvati, there was no third seal found in the Ravenclaw ancient books, so theoretically Oliver had already gotten it when Myrtle died, but why didn't she choose to write it out until she graduated - she had put this card in her best friend and hid it before her, and her best friend died because of it?"
"I can only ask Oliver at the time, maybe I can find out what happened to Oliver's school when he was in seventh grade, and whether anyone died because of it...... Not now, though. Hermione said. I'm more curious about the hidden message in the first six messages. β
She picked up a charcoal pen and drew a circle over the 'gate' on the first message. "First of all, Brandy, do you remember where you've seen that word again?"
"Room 13, Wright's message reads, I remember it clearly, 'But the door is open, we decided to try our luck'......"
"That's right," Hermione wrote Lightmanson's name next to the word, "based on current intelligence, it's likely that the 'gate' mentioned by Oliver and Lightmanson is the same." And Wright was able to enter Room 13, which meant that he was proficient in using supermagic spells, and the Sorting Hat said that Wright was a little boy, so he must not be an adult - if he could open the door, it would mean ......"
She added a note after the word 'little wizard' - it has nothing to do with age, it takes plenty of magic to open the door. "So the first restriction is not a problem for us, Brandy, you must have this qualification."
"That's amazing!" Parvati stared blankly at Hermione's confident face and muttered.
And then the second question, the message Wright left in 1942, and Oliver Humbe was about the same time, and they both mentioned something that almost no one knew about for thousands of years. Wright also mentioned trying his luck...... The message mentions the pioneers. β
"You mean, they're likely to know each other?"
"Pretty much for sure, after all, I don't think a lot of people know about this kind of secret room exploration. And in this way, the pioneers would be able to make sense, probably referring to Wright and his friend. Oliver doesn't seem to know the identity of his friend, though. Hermione thought for a moment and wrote 'Wright+??' in front of the herald. The problem is that the sixth message states that the pioneers may have taught their lives β but only one of them was used in the back, not them! If we consider it in conjunction with Article 5. Hmmm......"
Parvati seemed to suddenly think of something bad, and she gasped.
"You mean, Wright died after that expedition?"
"At least he must never have been seen in the school again, otherwise Oliver wouldn't have used the word 'maybe'. And ......"
"Wright was the only one missing in the school at that time!" Brandi suddenly had a flash of inspiration, "The guy who went on the expedition with him must have made it back, and not only that, but he deliberately didn't report it to the school, and he hid the reason for Wright's disappearance." Oh my god - so ...... Vigilant? Wright: He was already feeling bad before he went! β
"Maybe that's not all, Brandi......" Hermione bit her lip with a solemn expression, "If that's all he wants, he just tells Oliver the name of his companion and then lets her report it to the Headmaster directly after he loses his message?" But he didn't say it, orβhe couldn't say it. β
Somehow, Brandy remembered the unbreakable oath that Professor Dumbledore had used a few months earlier. He suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.
ββ¦β¦ All in all, I understand it to be a rough one. Leave aside Oliver's personal message. Hermione picked up a quill and dipped it in ink and began to write. Wright and friend A found the fifth seal out of nowhere, and they made a magical pact that they would never reveal the secret of their search for the gate to anyone else - and then they found the gate somehow, and Wright, or friend A, opened it. But they found that it was useless to open the door by light...... There is also a test that needs to be carried out, and this test is difficult and even risking death. So they decided to go back and get ready......"
However, Wright may have sensed ambition and bad intentions from friend A, and he was afraid that this friend A would do something bad, so he decided to say hello to Oliver on the spur of the day, and he left a few messages and hints about the location of the gate, asking her to use a secret way after her accident to leave it to the students who might find the Seven Seals later. Then they went to the gateβand Wright was gone. Friend A successfully escaped...... At this point, the magic contract should have lost its validity, but for some reason, friend A still has no intention of reporting to the school. That's it...... Huh? What are you looking at me like that, I have flowers on my face? β
She muttered as she spontaneously wrote. She finally finished her work and looked up. I found that everyone was looking at her dumbfounded, as if they were looking at a rare alien. Hermione suddenly felt a little embarrassed.
"Hmm...... I really didn't find it. Brandi looked complicated and took the parchment from Hermione's hand, and was amazed. It turns out that our cute Miss Jack-of-all-trades is not only outstanding in rote memorization, but also so unreasonable in logical reasoning~"
As soon as the words fell, Hermione's face began to change drastically, obviously she had a reliable look of being calm and breezy before, but in the blink of an eye, she was dyed with a layer of red at a speed visible to the naked eye, like steamed shrimp, her moist eyes looked at Brandy, biting her lip, and suddenly kicked Brandi fiercely without saying a word, and the latter let out an earth-shattering scream. "Don't call me Cocoa, the lovely Miss Jack-of-all-trades! Nerds! β
"Hey! I'm complimenting you! Kick me like that?! β
Brandi, who was kicked and hurt, rubbed his calf in confusion, his face full of grievances.
ββββββββ
After a period of confusion, several people finally realized how much Brandy's screams had just made, and they hurriedly put the parchment pages with the messages and analyses in Hermione's pocket. After all, after some discussion just now (mainly Hermione was saying that Brandi was responsible for shouting 666 next to her), everyone had already unanimously recognized Hermione's status as a think tank in this small group.
"I'll go back and look for the books that Oliver Humbe left behind in the library to see if there are any other clues. If so, I'll let you know as soon as possible. Padma's tone remained flat after placing the seven notes back into her bag where she had cast the Traceless Stretching Charm, even though she had just learned about Brandi and their experiences from Parvati, but judging by the heaving of her chest and the excitement on her face, her mood was probably far less calm than it seemed.
In this way, the adventurous spirit doesn't have to be just the preserve of Gryffindors.
"Okay, Padma." Hermione nodded, and they were leaving the classroom and walking down the hallway. "Then we'll be responsible for figuring out what that upward journey means, and it's probably the clue to the gate. I think it's best for us to set aside a time each week to get together and talk to each other about the information we get, you know, we can't always have time to come to the Ravenclaw Lounge to find you...... We have another headache. β
"No problem, let's do it every Wednesday night, astronomy class is for the whole grade, we can get together then, Professor Sinista doesn't sit in a position, just look up at the sky. But if there's an emergency, you can just ask the owl to come to me, and I'm usually in the Ravenclaw library during my breaks. Then again, Granger, hmm. She hesitated, then changed her words, "I mean Hermione...... Don't we really need a magic contract? β
"Of course not!" It was Brandi who answered her, and she noticed that the three Gryffindors were smiling at her at the same time, "Friendship and trust don't need to be bound by contracts, do they~"
