Chapter 18: As an Elder Brother

Since the Weasleys were the first wizarding family Brandi visited and borrowed, he couldn't tell if the wizards' houses were so interesting... Or rather, the accident - unlike the orderly things in his own home, everything here is challenging his nerves.

When Ron and Harry pulled him inside, Ron was preparing lunch at the house. The fire on the stove is blazing, and a large steaming kettle sits on it, and the fragrant white Bavarian sausage is pan-fried. A short, stocky woman was happily humming a song and was standing at the pool across from her peeling potatoes, and although Brandy hadn't seen her, it was no doubt that it was Ron's mother. Mrs. Weasley had an old radio at her disposal. It didn't look like a Muggle.

Of course, the content on the radio is naturally very close to life. Brandi was almost suspicious of his ears, and he heard the radio shouting at the top of his voice: "Next up is 'Talking Magic Today', where the famous witch commentator Miss Benin Caesar tells you the story behind the inventor of the sundries induction charm." ”

"Good morning~ Mom." George and Fred sneaked in from outside with Brandy's luggage and greeted Mrs. Weasley in a slick voice.

"I didn't know that half past eleven would be morning." She said angrily, and with a little wand, the frying pan behind her flew up, pouring the sausages on top of it into the smooth plate on the table. She seemed to want to take the kettle off as well, but who knew that the kettle actually screamed on its own.

"No, take your hand away, I haven't turned red yet!"

"The tea in it will be boiled dry when you turn red, fool." Mrs. Weasley took a displeased sip, and she turned to pick up the large kettle. Then she saw Brandy. "I suppose you're Brandi? It's nice to see you, Ron has mentioned it to me several times, and he wants to go over and pick you up himself. ”

She hurriedly put down her hands and wiped her hands on her apron. Come over and hug Brandi.

"But he just did something wrong two days ago, and he's still reflecting on it." She said. "George and Fred didn't bring you here in any strange way this time, such as flying or stealth?"

"Oh, no, ma'am. We just drove here normally. Brandi was still wondering how strange this question was, and the twins behind him sent a friendly reminder one by one, and he quickly came back to his senses.

"Well, I don't think you know what they did the other two days. The early morning play is gone! I drove away from my family's car, and I didn't leave a note at home! That car violated at least a hundred laws, and if the Muggles found outβ€”β€”β€”β€”"

"Is your mother usually like this......" Brandy watched in amazement as Mrs. Weasley became more and more agitated as he spoke, and finally began to sit down at the table and began to speak, he tilted his head tremblingly and asked in a low voice.

"You've got to learn how to get used to it, Brandy."

"For a while, she was a fanatical lover of speaking, just to give herself an edge when it came to preaching. Of course, you know, she's a huge success. ”

Brandi wiped the cold sweat from her head...... That sounds really inspiring.

He thought he would have to sit and listen for hours, but luckily he seemed to be in time for lunch. With the rumbling of Harry's stomach, Mrs. Weasley suddenly stopped her mouth, and the clouds on her face that had been frosty all over her face suddenly cleared.

"I forgot, it's already this point. Go get ready, Ron, you go and get Ginny and Percy down, and throw a few dead rats at the old ghoul in the attic so that he doesn't knock on the pipe at every turn. ”

The stagnant atmosphere disappeared in an instant, and they exhaled happily all at once, and the black pressure was scattered. Harry and the others hurriedly carried their luggage upstairs and showed Brandi around the set-up.

"Actually, Mrs. Weasley isn't usually like that, Brandy." Harry said, "Don't worry, she's just talking...... I came here that morning, and Mrs. Weasley had been preaching for at least an hour. If it weren't for Ron and his dad coming back from overtime, we wouldn't even be able to eat. ”

They came to the staircase on the third floor, where there was a small door. Brandi caught a glimpse of the door opening, and a pair of bright brown eyes seemed to be peeking at something. Then, before he could react, there was a muffled scream from behind the door, and with a click, the door was slammed shut.

"Well, looks like Ginny has woken up a long time ago." Ron said lightly, "Harry has been like this since she came, I've never seen her so shy before. She barely leaves the house now......"

"Shy?"

Brandi looked curiously at Ron, and then at Harry. Harry's face burned like fire.

At the lunch table, Brandi finally met Ginny herself, a petite, sweet-looking red-haired girl. But her behavior is really weird enough that she can actually come to dinner with a novel. He kept his face covered with a book the whole time, and from time to time he would show a pair of big eyes full of longing, staring at Harry on the other side - and if Harry and her could successfully meet her eyes at this time, there would definitely be some big and small accidents at the table. Ginny always seemed to be nervously knocking over something at once, and from Brandy's point of view, the flush on the side of her face never faded.

Just as she touched the porridge bowl on the ground for the third time, the door to the Burrow was pushed open. A dusty middle-aged man walked in from outside, holding a stack of envelopes in his hand.

"It's back, Daddy's back!" Fred said, "It didn't look like there was much trouble today. ”

"You say it's okay?" Brandi glared in surprise, "It's Sunday!" Don't wizards have public holidays? ”

"In fact, he worked very hard." Ron bit the chicken leg in his mouth and answered inarticulately. "Basically, I have to work overtime every day, and it's not easy to come back so early on the weekend."

Mr. Weasley strode over and sat happily in the empty chair next to Brandy. He was a skinny man, a little bleak, but the rest of his hair was as red and dazzling as his children.

"It's awesome, it didn't take much effort, and when we got to old Motlek's house, he was trying to hide the hair dryer that sprayed screws. That's called a hair dryer, right...... Harry? Eh...... Harry! ”

Only then did he realize that it wasn't Harry sitting next to him. After a moment, he quickly reacted.

"Oh, I'm sorry...... Should you be Barton? Seeing Brandi nod, he smiled happily. It's nice to see you Barton, no wonder there is an extra owl at the door, it turns out that you have also arrived. ”

"There's a letter from the school."

He took out the envelope in his hand and distributed it among the people. Brandi and the others were given a yellow parchment envelope, and the words on it were naturally green. "Looks like Dumbledore already knew you were all here - what a great wizard, nothing could hide from him."

The letter told him the start time and the place of the bus. There is also a list of new books that will be used in the second academic year. Brandi opened the parchment and muttered quietly.

"Second-graders are to read ...... Standard Spell, Level 2 by Miranda Goshawk. Well, what's nextβ€”"

He heard Fred's exclamation. Fred seemed to be leaning over Harry to read his book list.

"You're going to buy Gilderoy Lockhart's books, too? Merlin's beard! He groaned, "The new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher must be an admirer of hisβ€”a witch, perhaps." ”

Mrs. Weasley suddenly coughed dryly. Fred hurriedly sat down and ate his noodles.

"My mom adores him a lot. It's almost like he did in the book. He heard Ron whisper to him.

"But, Gilderoy Lockhart? Who is he? Brandi stupidly grabbed the parchment in his hand, it was full of the guy's books except for the spell book, and the title looked more like a book than a textbook - a collection of stories?

Mrs. Weasley puffed out her chest proudly. "Oh, he's amazing, at the age of thirty-two, he's already accomplished great things that no one else can accomplish in a few lifetimes."

"That's right...... And he's handsome. Fred buried himself in his plate and muttered quietly. I don't like him at all. ”

"Those books aren't cheap, Mom." George raised his voice and glanced at his parents worriedly. "Just in time for him to be so famous now, his books are counted in Galleons."

"Oh, we'll have a way," said Mrs. Weasley, but she looked a little sad. "I think a lot of Ginny's stuff can be bought second-hand."

So, Ginny is going to Hogwarts too?

Brandi looked over to see Harry questioning her, and Ginny nodded, her fiery red hair and her elbow clumsily poking into the butter plate.

If you're in the same class as Salf, maybe you can get along with Salph, they look a little similar, don't they?

"Mom." Ginny blushed and looked at Mrs. Weasley, her voice so small that she could barely hear it. "If you can, can you buy a new robe...... Bill's robes are so big......"

Brandi looked up in surprise. He noticed that Ron, like him, was staring at Mrs. Weasley.

Mrs. Weasley frowned, embarrassed. "I don't think so, Ginny...... We're going to buy five sets of Gildero's textbooks this year...... Maybe I can make Bill's robe a little shorter, and it should be fine for a while. ”

"Oh, got it, Mom." Ginny bowed her head obediently and never mentioned buying clothes again.

For some reason, the first thing that Brandi thought of was the dirty and embarrassed appearance when he first met Selph. His heart slowly tightened.

After lunch, Brandi crept into Ron's bedroom alone and pushed the door open.

Ron was sitting at his desk, counting what he was doing......

Really. Brandi suddenly laughed happily. Ron looked back in a panic, revealing the hill of silver sico and bronze on the table.

"Brandy, you ......," he said incoherently, blushing. But Brandi held up something in his hand, and Ron was stunned for a moment.

Brandi closed the door and walked over to Ron. Shoved the two pounds in his hand into his hand. "I know you won't go to Harry and ask for it, though he'll be willing to give it to you if you say it...... But I'm not the same Ron. ”

He looked at Ron, who seemed to be about to be annoyed, and grinned. "I'm also a person with a sister... I understand you very well... Isn't it our responsibility to be an older brother to respond to my sister's expectations~"

Ron froze suddenly, staring blankly at Brandi, as if trying to see something in his eyes.

"Take it, remember to give my sister the best gift for Christmas."

………………

"Yes!" Ron took a deep breath and punched Brandi hard in the chest. "Well, it must be the best Christmas present!"
