Chapter 9 Return
That afternoon, Brandi got up from his bed in a daze, and was surprised to find that the time had approached two o'clock, and that was the same time that Professor McGonagall had told him to leave the Great Hall, so he hurriedly packed all his belongings, dragged his suitcase and rushed down the tower.
By the time he plunged headlong into the auditorium, he was already sweating from the strenuous exercise and the damn weather.
Professor McGonagall looked at him with an unkind expression...... Whenever Brandi doesn't do well, she always takes it extra seriously.
"Button up your robes, remember that you're representing Hogwarts when you go out, it's a matter of image!"
She waved her wand, and Brandy's wet hair rose to the air again - glad Madam Pomfrey had cured him of the Thick Hair Curse, otherwise Professor McGonagall would have been angry if she had seen her drill.
"Alright, now follow me."
Unlike normal days, she reverted to her usual hard tone and motioned for Brandi to follow.
They walked out of the auditorium, and to their surprise, they were heading upstairs instead of outside the school.
Professor McGonagall...... Hogwarts Express ......" Brandi's mind was full of questions.
"You don't want to be alone on a train." Professor McGonagall glanced at him, "Hogwarts Express needs to be maintained and re-enchanted before each journey...... Otherwise, anyone who sees a 19th-century steam train in the wilderness will be surprised. We're not going to go to such great lengths to get you back to King's Cross...... We used Floo this time. β
"What's that?"
"A means of transportation that shuttles between fireplaces in different places, Brandy. You should have seen it. β
Brandi vaguely remembered Dumbledore coming out of the fireplace on the day he was deducted.
The fleeting green flame......
"Oh~ That's pretty cool!"
"Cool?" Professor McGonagall looked at Brandi with a strange expression, a look of pity that seemed to be looking at a fool. "It's not as cool as you think, and Dumbledore can come out of it in style, it takes a long getting used to. You'd better be mentally prepared first - by the way, do you get motion sickness or seasickness, well, you can get motion sickness or anything......"
Brandi shook his head strangely.
"That's good...... I might have to give you a paper bag. Oh, here we are. Professor McGonagall breathed a sigh of relief, and she walked to her office with an inexplicable Brandi. Her room was as simple as ever.
"Come, come up here." Professor McGonagall led him to the stove and passed a box from the nearby shelf.
"Let me emphasize to you that you represent the image of Hogwarts for a while, don't let them laugh at you."
It made Brandi nervous.
"Professor, where are we going?"
"The Ministry ......of Magic, of course," Professor McGonagall raised an eyebrow. Hogwarts is concerned about safety, and under normal circumstances, Floo will only connect with the Ministry of Magic during special times, unless there is a personal authorization from Professor Dumbledore. So if you want to go straight to Diagon Alley, that's probably all you have to say sorry, okay! Time was limited, we only had five minutes. β
She let Brandy grab a handful of the inside of the box, a powder that looked like sand but was much brighter.
"Listen to me, Brandy, and stand in the furnace."
It feels weird, the last time Brandi went into the fireplace to play peek-a-boo seemed to be when he was four or five years old......
"After a while you sprinkle the Floo powder off your hand and shout 'Ministry of Magic', remember, you have to get those words clear. Otherwise, Floo won't be able to tell where you want to go. β
"Got it, Professor."
"Tighten your elbows, don't stick them out, they'll be broken by the fireplace somewhere!"
"Okay professor."
"Close your eyes, there's soot in it, and if it's not too much, I'd advise you not to breathe β you'll choke and cough."
ββ¦β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦β
Brandi didn't want to talk anymore.
After babbling like an old mother for a long time, seeing that half of the time had passed, Professor McGonagall was finally going to let him do it. Brandi quickly took a deep breath and sprinkled Floo powder in the stove - green flames burst out and licked Brandy's body, and he was surprised to find that it didn't seem to be hot at all.
"Ministry of Magic!" He said loudly.
Swish!
He felt like he had been thrown into a huge toilet bowl, his body spinning rapidly under the strange force, and there was a whistling sound in his ears...... I can't tell if it's the wind or something else. His eyes seemed to be watching a speeding slide, and the various fireplaces flashed vaguely before his eyes, and it was a whirlwind. His stomach seemed to be twisted into a twist as it swirled, and he felt disgusting.
Finally, I don't know how long later, the rotation suddenly stopped, but Brandy's eyes were still in a trance, he subconsciously took a step forward, and then his body tilted - he fell on the cold floor, and he felt his nose start to bleed again.
"Poof!" There was a burst of laughter all around.
Brandi's face was on fire, and he quickly staggered to his feet and patted the dust off his body. It wasn't until his still spinning gaze finally stabilized that he was surprised to see the whole place.
He was standing on the edge of a golden hall with a dark wooden floor that was shiny and beautiful. The peacock blue ceiling is inlaid with glittering gold symbols, which are constantly moving and changing, like a giant bulletin board. Next to him there will be a fireplace every few steps...... Every now and then, with a soft sound, a wizard would emerge from inside. There was a long queue in front of the row of stoves opposite, and everyone was waiting to leave.
"It's ...... Ministry of Magic? Brandi pinched her nose in embarrassment and looked around.
There was a loud bang behind him, and Brandi turned around in a panic to find that in the green flames, a large pile of his luggage was constantly spraying outside, and his little face suddenly became ugly.
O Merlin! Yale is still in that pile of luggage!
He hurriedly pounced and caught the iron cage that held Yale in the air, it seemed to have no strength to scream, it looked languishing, and the small puddle of slimy stuff at the bottom of the cage told him that Yale was probably vomiting from nausea.
Then, Professor McGonagall gracefully emerged from the stove. She didn't seem to have anything to do with it......
For some reason, the first thing that came to Brandi's mind was a sentence from "The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Defense" - a mountain of swords and a sea of hard training will eventually become steel, and wizards should put themselves in various dangerous and difficult environments at any time to hone their alertness and willpower.
β¦β¦ The user experience of Floo.com is so poor, it is not specially designed for training wizards.
"Clean it up."
The soot from Brandy's robe was swept away, and by the way, the Yale cage was cleaned up. Professor McGonagall waved his wand, and his luggage levitated, following her.
"Come with me, Brandy, I've got to get you out firstβI have some other things to do here."
With Brandi looking around, she made her way through the crowd and towards the end of the hall. Lonely there, there are some telephone booths that don't match the view in this hall.
Telephone booth?
This was the first time Brandi had seen anything closely related to Muggles in the wizarding world.
"What are you doing in a daze, I won't send you out...... It's the city of London, and I think you'll be able to find your way home β don't you have what you have, rough car rentals? Professor McGonagall pronounced the word with some difficulty.
"Yes, Professor." Brandi looked at her amusedly, and noticed that Professor McGonagall's face softened. "See you at the beginning of the semester, Professor."
He pulled his large bag and squeezed into the phone booth. He saw Professor McGonagall waving at him outside the window. He didn't know how to use it, but it didn't seem like he had to do it himself...... The phone booth shook suddenly, and began to rise. An indifferent female voice sounded inside the pavilion.
"Thank you for your cooperation, guest, and goodbye."
With a monotonous cacophony of rubbing, darkness fell into the phone booth.
β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦β¦
What a surprise, Brandi never knew that the wizarding world was just a few subway stops away from where he lived! When Brandi stepped out of the phone booth, he found that the architecture felt very familiar to him. He used to ride his bicycle past this side street when he was still in school, and he vaguely remembered the dump truck in front of him that never seemed to move its position. But because it was always off the beaten track, he never dared to go in and see it......
It turns out that this place is the territory of the Ministry of Magic......
Looking at the tattered storefronts and signboards on both sides, and the scraps of paper on the ground that will be rolled up when the wind blows, Brandi is really emotional. He had thought that the Ministry of Magic should be in a more imposing place.
Eh...... Speaking of the inaccessible track?
When Brandi lifted his luggage, he saw a flash in front of him, and he saw something golden in the distance, as if he had seen something golden on the corner of an alley in the side street. This place has not seen a store open for at least ten years, how can there be such a bright color......
He rubbed his eyes and looked over again. That's right, there was something golden in the corner over there, and because it wasn't close, Brandi could only vaguely feel that it wasn't too big, it was small, and it looked like it was two or three feet up to the sky.
Could it be a lost cat or a dog?
He hesitated for a moment to see that no passers-by would take his luggage, so he simply took a step in the direction of the alley.
He gradually saw the golden back, and his steps gradually slowed. Brandi stared blankly, as if he didn't expect to look away.
The long unkempt and dirty golden hair was spread on the ground without mind, no wonder he looked at the golden mass at a glance, what kind of little animal is this, it is clearly a little girl who squats on the ground and is about the same age as herself!
